In the Tuesday, August 30, 2022, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy and Finn are happy to be together, Douglas paints at his father’s, and Hope and Steffy argue about Douglas.
We also have Monday’s B&B recap where Sheila refused to leave Deacon’s, Hope told her mother about his mystery woman, and Quinn and Carter got romantic.
Steffy and Finn make out after he comes out from the water. They talk about how great his sense of humor is. She’s just happy he’s alive. He likes that too.
The water was great and makes him feel almost back to normal. She thinks he’s getting his life back. He says she and the kids are still the epicenter of his life.
She keeps touching him and repeating that he’s there. He needs to go to work. She’s looking forward to getting back to work herself.
The topic changes to Thomas and Douglas. She thinks that Hope should understand it’s time for Douglas to be with his father.
She recalls again how their lives changed when they were reunited in Monaco. “It’s a day neither one of us will ever forget,” he says. They kiss.
At Brooke’s, Hope tells her mom she’s trying not to overreact. She talked to Douglas on the phone and didn’t want to make a scene picking him up.
Her mom says that Thomas and Taylor want to take the little boy away and they can’t allow that to happen.

B&B opinion: Custody story enflames fan wars
At Eric’s, he and Thomas watch Douglas painting. Taylor arrives and they have to warn her not to get covered in paint when she tries hugging the kid.
She asks for one of his pictures for her office.
Thomas prompts his son to call Hope. Douglas tells her about all the painting he’s been doing. She asks to speak to his father.
Thomas gets on the line and steps away, telling her how much fun his son is having. She says it’s time to bring him home. He’s had him longer than they agreed to.
Thomas says he needs this time with his son and hangs up.
Back at Brooke’s, her eyes bug out when her daughter admits she has no idea when Douglas is coming back.
“This is insane!” Brooke yelps, worried about how this will confuse the child.
Hope doesn’t know what to do. Grabbing her bag, Brooke says she will go and find out what the hell is going on.
Back at Eric’s, Taylor talks Douglas into doing a painting of outer space. He needs glitter for that so he and his father head out to buy some.
As he leaves, Taylor tells her son how much he deserves this.
Once they’re gone, she makes a call until Brooke wanders in, chuckling.
“I should have known the ringleader would be here,” Brooke says, accusing her of plotting to take Douglas from Hope.
“Everyone’s the villain in someone’s story, huh Brooke?” Taylor laughs. She explains that Thomas is getting art supplies and will be back.
Brooke claims Hope has been very generous letting Thomas keep Douglas as long as he has. Taylor thinks Hope believes she can dictate the relationship between father and son.
When Douglas is with Thomas, he’s at home with his family. Brooke reminds her that Thomas is unbalanced.
This is all exhausting to Taylor. As she huffs, Brooke keeps railing about how they can’t take Douglas away from the mother he knows.
She accuses her of exploiting this to try and take Ridge away. “Stop! Stop!” Taylor protests, telling her that, shocking though it may be, this is not about her. She won’t let her or Hope come between her son and Douglas.
As they scream at each other, Taylor accidentally hurls paint at her. She laughs and apologizes. They start throwing paint at each other until they are both covered.
Brooke accuses her again of trying to steal her husband.
In her office, Steffy sets her calendar in order. Hope shows up looking for Ridge. Steffy explains he’s not there. She’s not there on business so Steffy guesses it’s about Douglas.
Hope closes the door and admits it. Steffy says the father and son being together is just life, not a situation. Hope says the situation is Thomas wanting to change where his son calls home.
They share custody. Steffy points out not a lot of sharing has been going on so far. “I think that’s finally about to change,” she says.
Hope says there is no wrong to be righted here. Steffy accuses of doing everything on her own terms.
Hope reminds her that she’s not some nanny and they are in this situation because of Thomas’ problems. Steffy repeats that Douglas is a Forrester not a Logan.
She lists all the disasters that Brooke has inflicted on her family. That’s why it will always be Forresters versus Logans.
