In the Monday, September 20, 2021, full episode recap of Bold and the Beautiful, Quinn and Carter try not to cave to their desires, while Steffy and Finn get busy, and Eric has to deal with Katie butting her nose into his business. If you missed out, Soaps Spoilers has Monday’s B&B recap when Eric admitted his issues with Quinn were his fault.
In her office, Quinn thinks about making love with Carter and Shauna appears. She can tell Quinn is thinking about a man and asks what’s going on with her and Eric. Quinn talks in circles and Shauna’s eyes spin until Quinn admits that her husband sent her to be with Carter. Quinn admits Eric asked her to be with Carter intimately, and she did. She calls it incredible. Shauna reels from the news. Quinn admits Eric set up encounters. “Me and Carter were like, ‘no way’!” Shauna doesn’t know what to say but thinks her BFF is living in a fantasy. Both women’s minds are blown.

In Brooke’s office, Katie admits she stopped by Eric’s last night. Brooke seems to think that’s crazy and asks why she would be. Katie shrugs it off and then snipes to Brooke that it was unconscionable that Quinn was out last night instead of being with her husband. Brooke agrees. While Quinn’s out enjoying himself, Eric’s moping around that big mansion. They gripe about how self-centered and selfish she is. They tear her down to shreds. They wonder if Eric’s pointing the finger at himself for their issues. Brooke knows he’s trying to cover and make sure everything is fine. Katie knows better. She intimates that Eric has intimacy issues that are tied to Quinn and her affair with “Mister Eight Pack,” Carter. Brooke reminds her sister that they don’t know that there are problems in the bedroom. Katie assumes Eric doesn’t like the prospect of being alone. She calls Quinn insensitive. “Unless I’m missing something unless we’re all missing something.” They wonder if Quinn will betray Carter again. If she does, both sisters swear that it better not happen again. Brooke’s glad her sis lives next to Eric so she can keep an eye on him.

Eric lets Carter into the Forrester mansion and thanks him for coming. “When the boss summons you,” Carter says, trailing off. Eric reveals he knows that Carter slept with his wife last night. This isn’t the way he wanted it. Eric wanted to fulfill her needs but it’s impossible. He couldn’t have entertained this thought six months ago, let alone encourage it. He loves Quinn and knows Carter does, too. They love the same things about her such as her spontaneity, humor and exquisite beauty. Eric wants to make it clear that “You must never under any condition consider Quinn yours.” Quinn will remain married to him. Carter nods and agrees to keep this private. “Noone can know. Especially Ridge.”
Carter finds Shauna in the office and says he’ll go if she wants. “No. Don’t,” she says, urging him to lock it. She can’t believe what Eric has given her and says she loves them both. They kiss.
