In the Friday, December 17, 2021, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Brooke thinks Taylor brainwashed Ridge, Steffy and Taylor bash Brooke, and Deacon and Hope eavesdrop. We also have Wednesday’s B&B recap where Brooke was unhappy to hear Taylor’s moved back to LA, and Ridge raged when Deacon let himself into the house.
At the Cliffhouse, Steffy complains about Brooke and stops herself. She realizes she should be grateful that her mom’s there. Taylor tells her kid not to worry about it. She’s worried about her dad and his marriage because she’s a kind and loving daughter. Taylor agrees that what Brooke’s asking of Ridge is unfair. Steffy calls it upsetting. It could have been different. Taylor laughs. “You can’t go back.” Taylor says there are a lot of people who she’d like to see in LA but Brooke isn’t one. She’d like to see Eric.
She gossips about Quinn’s affair and says that Stephanie was so special to her. She has issues understanding how Eric could go from Stephanie to Quinn. Steffy doesn’t get it either. She doesn’t understand why Eric put up with Quinn’s behavior or why Ridge puts up with Brooke’s. They touch base on some Sheila gossip and then talk turns to when her sister was alive and that Stephanie was a big support system for her back then. She recalls Stephanie trying to stop Brooke. “I miss her,” Taylor says.
Stephanie would be so proud of Steffy. Steffy wishes Kelly and Hayes could have known her. Taylor’s not sure she’s worthy of having a grandson named after her. Steffy calls it an honor and Hayes will get to grow up knowing she helped so many people around the world. “I love my job,” Taylor says, but she loves being a mom more. She’s so happy to see her kid fulfilled with Finn and their beautiful family. “Nothing against Liam,” she says but she’s glad she got out of “that dysfunctional thing with him and Hope.”
It took strength. They bash the Logans for stealing their men and talk about how the men fall for it. Steffy’s happy with Finn and happy for Liam and Hope for the most part. She feels bad that Liam has to deal with Deacon and he’s frustrated that Hope wants him in her life. The Logans stick together at the expense of everyone else. “It looks like your father is paying the price,” Taylor says.
At Brooke and Ridge’s, Ridge asks where Deacon’s living and working. Deacon’s staying in a storage room in a bar. “That is perfect,” Ridge booms. Deacon says he’s cleaning the bar. He’s not drinking. He’s not shacking up with Sheila anymore. “I’m sleeping with a mop. That’s right. A mop.” Brooke looks surprised.
Deacon excuses himself. He’ll go to the cabin. This doesn’t need to get more out of hand. He goes and Ridge is upset when Brooke thanks him. What is she thinking? “He’s playing you!”

B&B’s Dec 20-24 holiday spoilers
At the cabin, Hope and Deacon head outside to spar. He gives her a heads up that her mom and Ridge are having it out at the house. “Good to know,” she says, forewarned. Outside, he jokes that he wants to teach her the “Five finger death technique.” They laugh and he eavesdrops on Ridge and Brooke, who tells Ridge he loves him but Deacon’s Hope’s father and he’s back. “And Taylor’s back.” They both have issues with each other’s exes.
Ridge compares the two and Brooke thinks Taylor tends to leave her with their issues when she leaves LA such as when Thomas had issues or when Steffy was taking pills, or when Caroline died. “My daughter had to step in and take care of her grandchild,” Brooke says. Hope gasps. Ridge says Thomas is better and his kid should be the prime caregiver. Brooke’s shocked. “You’ve been speaking with Taylor. She’s got you brainwashed.”
Ridge takes offence. The only brainwashing there is being done by Deacon and it worries him. Outside, Deacon and Hope look at one another, jaws dropped open. Brooke asks him not to make a big deal over Deacon. Hope was once a victim. It’s good that he’s teaching her self-defence. Ridge is annoyed that she’s throwing Thomas under the bus. They talk in circles until Ridge says he needs to clear his mind.
He goes for a drive and Hope and Deacon appear in the door. Hope offers to talk but Brooke cries and says she hates arguing with Ridge like this. She goes upstairs alone. Deacon hates to see her like that. He thinks he should go but Hope doesn’t want that.
Upstairs, Brooke calls Ridge who doesn’t respond. She stares at their photo, sadly and reminisces about Ridge giving her a rose.
Ridge stops by the Cliffhouse and goes inside. He and Taylor stare at one another.
