General Hospital recap for Tuesday, May 10, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Carly probes Phyllis for details of Nina’s pregnancy, Ned needs to know what’s going on, Trina turns to Ava for help, and Cam tries to reassure Joss that he’s on her side.
We also have Monday’s GH recap where Spencer searches for dirt on Esme and Amy was shocked to discover her brother was dating Terry.
At Kelly’s, Joss catches Cam hugging Esme and gets in her face. Esme tells her she’s going to have to get used to Cam and Spencer being on her side. Joss orders her to confess and lectures her.
“Whatever,” Esme dismisses. Trina lectures her next. Esme tells them to enjoy feeling superior, gives Cam a pat, and walks off. Joss is furious.
Cam starts texting. His girlfriend is furious and yells at him for texting instead of speaking to her. They accuse him of acting weird with Spencer and Esme. Trina tries to get them all to calm down.
Trina asks him to explain why he is supporting someone who ruined their lives. He claims he’s trying to do the right thing. Joss gives Trina a hug as she leaves, advising them not to let Esme win.
Joss tells him he can’t give Esme a shoulder to cry on. He needs to walk away. He can’t be that heartless. “Unlike me?” she asks. Cam insists he hasn’t forgiven Esme.
He thinks it’s great that Joss is so loyal to her friends. He doesn’t express his loyalty in the same way. Joss is grateful that he is so nice, but Esme uses nice people. He thinks Trina will eventually understand how he is behaving.
Cam assures Joss that he loves everything about her, but they approach things differently. They have an awkward hug.
When Trina gets outside, she calls someone and tells them she needs their help.
At Wyndemere, Spencer sneaks into Esme’s closet and finds a box with stuff from three season ago. He finds some pills without a label and pockets one. Then he rifles through her letters.
He gets a warning message from Cam that Esme is on her way back but can’t give up now. Sitting on her bed, he reads one of her letters as Esme pokes her head around the corner.
She interrupts him. He claims he was looking for his son glasses. Spencer demands to know why she has a box of letters from the nanny she claimed to have lost touch with. It feels like he doesn’t trust her.
Spencer accuses her of not trusting him. She asks him what he thought he was going to find by going through her private things. He feels like he doesn’t know her as well as thought.
If they are going to get back to where they were, she says, they need to be honest. He agrees and asks why her nanny told her that no good what come out of her getting in touch with her father.

The latest GH casting news – Alexis temporarily recast
Michael and Willow are in the gatehouse. She’s thinking about how she has no idea who her mother is. Willow wonders at house messed up it is that she’s distraught over losing Harmony.
Now she needs to go to the cops and give her DNA to prove motive. Michael offers to run interference with the cops. Alexis shows up, realizing it’s a bad time, but pushes in to speak to Willow.
Michael leaves them to it. Alexis realizes she doesn’t know what to say. Willow says Harmony was capable of terrible things, but had other qualities. Alexis was grateful to have her as a friend.
The tragedy is she could fake being a good person. It seems neither of them knew her. Alexis confesses that she’s known Harmony wasn’t her mother for a while. She tried to get her to confess, but she was afraid of losing Willow.
Willow has been trying to convince herself that none of this is true but it’s finally sinking in that Harmony lied to her for her whole life. She wonders if her father knew what Harmony did.
Alexis says that Harmony never mentioned him. Willow needs answers about who her biological parents are. The first step is that DNA test.
Drew stops by the Quartermaine house to see Ned. He explains his ELQ shares will revert to him soon. The best situation is a merger between ELQ and Aurora to dilute Valentin’s power.
Michael joins them. Ned summarizes the merger and points out it will leave him out in the cold. Michael says everything is in the early stages. Drew explains they are bulking up Aurora to make the merger more substantial.
Ned wonders if he should read anything into being excluded from their discussions about this. If he is going to have a major position in the new company, he needs to be part of their planning.
Drew has to leave, but tries assuring Ned he will be happy. Michael can tell Ned is uneasy. Ned tells him he has sacrificed a lot for the company and now he feels like he is being put out to pasture.
Michael repeats that nothing has been decided and urges him not to worry. Michael leaves. Ned worries.
At Charlie’s, Nina tells Ava that Carly better hope to god she’s not in the line of fire. Carly strolls in, wondering how Nina can always see herself as the victim.
The women get in each other’s faces and Carly is baffled at how Nina and Ava can even be friends given their history. Nina insists that she and Carly want the same thing: peace.
She admits she made mistakes because she was hurting. Ava decides to escape and Nina asks Carly to sit with her. The topic quickly becomes Sonny and Willow. They bicker about that.
Nina wonders if Wiley has heard his grandma is gone. She doesn’t think it’s fair to keep it from him. Carly notes that how you hand someone that information can do more harm than good.
Nina doesn’t think it’s fair for Wiley to lose another grandmother. Carly accuses her of arguing this for totally selfish reasons. Loving someone doesn’t entitle you to anything, she declares.
Phyllis arrives and says it’s lovely to see them together. Nina heads to the washroom and Carly asks how Phyllis has been since the attempted robbery. Phyllis assures her she is always welcome.
She will always protect Nina. She was pregnant in a coma so it was hard not to care. Phyllis explains she wasn’t there for the birth. After she arrived, Madeline sent her off with the child.
The one silver lining is that Nina eventually found out the truth. She admits she’s rooting for Nina to get to know her grandson. Phyllis spots Nina coming out and checks on her.
Nina tells her she will have a rough few days and needs to get her head on straight. Carly stares over at the wine glass Nina was drinking from and thinks of the DNA test. When she gets the chance, she drops it in her purse before bumping into Drew.
Trina meets with Ava at the Jerome Gallery and vents about walking in on Cam and Esme. She suspects that Esme is trying to drive a wedge between them. Ava assures her she has every right to feel betrayed.
Trina needs her help. Proving her innocence isn’t enough. She needs to prove Esme is guilty and make her pay. Ava is the only person she knows who could out-scheme Esme.
Ava is flattered. She gets an idea. Given how possessive Esme is, Trina should exploit it, make a play for Spencer and goad her into overreacting. She’s sure that can push her over the edge.
Trina is tempted but doesn’t think she could take it that far. Ava reminds her of how much trouble she is in. Trina admits there is something that could help, but she will only use it as a last resort.
Ava is proud to be her go-to-schemer and admires her for being so nice.
