General Hospital recap for Monday, May 2, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Liz is surprised by Finn, Maxie and Austin give Spinelli advice, and Harmony’s out of surgery.
We also have Friday’s GH recap where a tormented Sasha told Willow that she was the one who ran over Harmony.
At the Savoy, Sonny tells some dude on a stool next to him, “You know what to do when he gets here.” Nina finds and asks if he’s looking for someone. He tells her he’s enjoying the beautiful scenery, and they smile at each other.
He sees some guy walk in. He admits he sometimes thinks of what it’d be like back in Nixon Falls, especially after a hard day. He flashes to Michael disowning him because he sided with Nina.
He tells her it’s nothing he can’t handle. Liesl grabs Nina’s arm and drags her to their table as Sonny’s goon returns.
Everything went smoothly. He agrees to meet him outside.
Nearby, Maxie and Austin get their bill for some drinks. She has to head home to relieve her parents of babysitting. They fight over the bill and he wins.
He babbles about wanting balance in their relationship, since she paid for dinner. Spinelli wanders in, all suited up, and they gossip about him trying to be someone he’s not.
Austin offers to talk to him. They call him over and have awkward chatter about him dating. They try to direct him to better places to meet women but he’s managing perfectly fine.
Maxie thinks he’s lying, and that someone turned him down. Austin invites him kayaking at some point and after a little more romance advice, they take off. Spin goes to Sonny and talks about unsavoury characters around the place.
Liz talks to the kids on the phone from Metro Court, reassuring that they have to stay with Laura until this is over. Finn drops by with flowers. He got the room next to her.
She thinks that’s silly but he owes her. She kind of wants to just go home. After dinner, they play cards and it lifts her mood. She’s grateful, but when she mentions hearing voices, Finn’s puzzled. She admits that he said, “Don’t forget me.” It sounded other worldly. Finn admires her strength, though she doesn’t feel strong. He kisses her.

GH casting news – Alexis temporarily recast
At the nurses’ hub, Michael snaps at Britt, looking for news about Harmony. He apologizes. He feels helpless and shouldn’t have lashed out. She gets it. A doctor pulls her away for a consultation.
Nearby, Alexis tells Sam she wants to talk with Harmony. Sam reminds Alexis that Harmony tried to kill her. Still, they’ve unfinished business. Britt and Michael rush by to find Willow, and Sam asks the other doctor if Harmony’s awake. She is.
In the chapel, Willow asks if Carly knows what happened. They both know that Sasha hit Harmony but Willow asks why she was there in the first place. Carly admits they were there together. She tells her everything but the secret.
Carly asks her to prepare herself. She tells the story about Harmony drugging her after finding a secret of hers. Willow’s beside herself with worry and then asks what the secret was.
Britt and Michael turn up and Carly goes. Britt updates Willow on her mom who came out of surgery. She’s got damage to multiple organs and is hypertensive.
They’ll stabilize her while evaluating. “It’s touch and go,” Michael tells her as they embrace. She lights a candle and they take off to see her mother. Before they get there, Alexis is stunned to see Harmony hooked up to many machines.
She’s angry that she was such a good friend. She valued their friendship and wonders if it was real. She could have had a relationship with Willow based on honesty. Willow wanders in and Alexis and Michael leave the room.
Willow asks her mother what she’s done. She’s confused about whether her rehabilitation was an act. Despite all she’s done, Willow hasn’t stopped loving her. She begs her to wake up and holds her hand, sobbing.
Outside, Carly finds Michael and hugs him. He asks about the accident. She reveals Harmony drugged and tried to kill her. He asks why and she cites that Harmony has a secret. She can’t reveal it to him, but Michael thinks Willow needs to know.
Britt arrives at the Savoy and overhears Nina and Liesl arguing about Scott and Sonny. She talks about Willow being close to losing her mother. It reminds her that none of them have as much time as they think.
Nina doesn’t want to waste time being mad at someone. Liesl smiles. Neither will she. Britt’s glad they’ve made up. She admits she was stood up by the matchmaking service, which is upsetting. Instead of dating “the cat man,” Liesl tells her to find a man with a ferret. Britt laughs. Liesl thinks she still wants Jason. “You were different with him, Britta,” she says.
She was stronger and has a right to grieve, but she needs to move on and stop longing for a man who is dead. She asks her to find someone to get her “doing fun things.” Liesl says Scotty’s waiting.
He promises an eventful night. Britt laughs and tells her to get out of there. They blow kisses and she goes. Back at the bar, Sonny says he noticed Spin looking at Maxie. Sonny advises him to follow his heart and tell a woman what they mean to him before it’s too late. Spin appreciates it.
Nina returns to the table, upset that Liesl and now Britt are calling it a night. Nina will finish her drink. Britt walks by Spin’s table and she blathers about her date standing her up. Spin encourages her to keep trying.
Her Mr. Right is out there. She laughs that he sounds like her mother. Sonny finds Nina alone and asks to sit with her. They grin at one another as he sits.
At Maxie’s, Mac and Felicia babysit and talk about Maxie when she was a kid. Maxie and Austin turn up and they talk about enjoying the finer things in life. Mac says Maxie likes the finer things in life.
It’s a good thing her company went public. She jokes about running up his credit card. He thinks her kids will do that someday. They hug and leave. Austin asks to see each other again tomorrow.
She rambles that she does but George and James have activities. Austin tells her if she doesn’t want to hang out, that’s fine.
