General Hospital recap for Friday, September 2, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Brook Lynn and Chase trick Linc, Ava confides in Nina, and Spencer has a nightmare about Esme.
We also have Thursday’s GH recap where Ava woke up asking if Nikolas stabbed her, Jordan caught Nikolas lying, and Valentin felt like he was going insane.
Chase and Brook Lynn arrive at the pool and chat about what happened to Ava. They change the topic, happy that they are finally having a date. They kiss.
She reminds him they need to stay focused on their plan. He’s distracted by her beauty. She knew he would become a “mushball” once they got together.
He thinks she deserves an epic first date and has lots of plans.
Linc arrives, unhappy to see them smooching. He teases them about their unprofessional behavior. They tell him they are dating and he reminds Chase they have a meeting.
Chase cancels it and announces he’s ready to sign with Brook Lynn. Linc threatens to cancel his gig at The Savoy if he wants to settle with “the sequel to Clueless.”
Chase sticks with his choice and Linc tells him to enjoy his career as a wedding singer before walking off. Brook Lynn tells Chase that step one is complete.
She’s sure what they just did will drive Linc to make a bigger offer. Once he does, he can take it and drop out, leaving Linc in the lurch.
Dante joins Sam by the pool and they joke about him being late. Teasingly, she tells him the man she was waiting for is really dedicated to his job.
They talk about moving in together. He says they can do it whenever. “How about tomorrow?” she asks. He laughs and wonders why she is so gung-ho all of a sudden.
She thinks it would be good to do it before the school year starts. They kiss.
They chat about Ava’s stabbing. She wonders if it was a crime of passion and then they get back to talking about the move. He reassures her about any doubts and the head out to start packing.
On the way, they tells Chase and Brook Lynn to have a good night.
In Carly’s kitchen, Cam and Joss talk about her finding Ava covered in blood. She froze at first and Ava wouldn’t let her leave her side.
He’s surprised when she tells him that Dex arrived and helped. Cam is sure he has plenty of experience with wounded people. Joss still thinks he’s an idiot for working for Sonny, but Dex saved Ava’s life.
Cam wonders where Spencer was during all this. He doesn’t suspect him but this attack will affect him. They wonder if they should check on him given he’s going to prison tomorrow.
Avery calls, asking for her charm bracelet. She decides to go to GH to look for it.
Spencer returns to his room at the Metro Court and passes out. He dreams of Esme in The Savoy.
She tells him he’s disappointed in himself for all his hard work coming to nothing. She may be out of his life but she took his father and Trina with her.
Esme taunts him about sleeping with his father and how Spencer was not man enough to keep her satisfied. No wonder she turned to someone else.
He still can’t accept that she did it with his father. She tells him he’s a loser. Her father chose her and Trina chose Rory. His plans didn’t accomplish anything other than alienating him from Trina permanently.
The only reason he hasn’t told her the truth is because he knows it wouldn’t make any difference.
As she cackles, he wakes up.
After getting dressed, Spencer sits on the floor and writes a note for Trina. He wasn’t going to tell her the truth, but he needs her to know he believes in her and always has.
Cam arrives and Spencer stashes his note before opening the door. He wonders why he’s spending his last night of freedom alone.
Spencer claims he wanted some luxury before prison. His life is royally screwed up and for nothing. He didn’t do anything to help Trina.
Cam says what was important was that he was helping a friend. He offers to keep him company but Spencer insists he’s fine. He’s surprised when Cam says he will visit him.
Once he’s alone, Spencer puts the note in an envelope and heads out.

Kelly Thiebaud exits and the latest GH comings and goings
At General Hospital, Sonny tells Dex that he doesn’t need him for the rest of the night. Dex offers to look after the Wu shipment on the docks. Before he can go, Sonny asks him to stand guard by Ava’s room.
Michael arrives and asks if there’s an update on Ava. He and Dex play up their tension. Sonny calms that and tells Michael that his other family should have had better security at their picnic.
Michael thinks the hospital should re-think its relationship with him. Once he walks off, Sonny orders Dex back to guarding Ava.
Dex guards Ava’s door until his relief arrives. Joss shows up looking for Avery’s bracelet. He says the janitor came by earlier so maybe he knows where it is.
Terry finds Willow looking exhausted and orders her into her office. After getting her to drink some water, Terry says it looked like she was about to faint. She suggests she take a break.
Willow claims pregnant women get tired even without leukemia. She repeats her choice is to keep her condition a secret. Terry worries about how much pressure that is going to put on her.
Willow insists she feels fine and just wants to keep things normal for as long as possible.
Michael shows up to pick up Willow. She tells him she’s just talking to Terry about cutting back her hours. Her goal is to be a hundred percent when this is over.
When the couple exit, Willow asks Michael for a nice quiet night at home.
Nina stops by Ava’s room. Ava can’t feel much, which is probably good. Avery visited while she was sleeping.
Nina wonders where her husband is. Ava asked him to stay away. “He hurt me. He betrayed me,” she says. She doesn’t think he attacked her, but he did cheat on her… with Esme.
“That’s disgusting!” Nina blurts, asking if she ran Esme out of town. “Something like that,” Ava says. Nina can’t believe she hasn’t made Nikolas pay for this. Ava says it wasn’t the right time.
She asks Nina not to say anything about this to anyone. It would be humiliating. Nina thinks that Nikolas should be ashamed and tells her she did nothing wrong. Ava’s not so sure about that.
Part of her actually believes the prince when he says they need each other. Her friend guesses there is more to this and asks what she did.
Sonny interrupts. He says Avery wants her mom to get better. Ava worries someone might come by to finish her.
When he exits, he finds Joss looking for the bracelet. Dex returns and explains the janitor already took the trash to the dumpster. Sonny tells Joss he appreciates her looking out for her sister.
Joss asks Dex where the dumpsters are.
They head out to the dumpsters. He’s surprised when she climbs straight into the trash.
Back in Ava’s room, she asks her guard to take Nikolas’ name off her visitors list.
Nina and Sonny arrive at the pool. He asks what was going on with Ava. She tells him he doesn’t need to know. “Tell me the truth. What were you and Ava talking about?” he asks.
