General Hospital recap for Friday, September 30, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Brook Lynn helps Chase prepare for his performance, Selina offers Sonny a seat at the gambling table, and Valentin and Anna get a new idea for going after Victor.
We also have Thursday’s GH recap where Maxie pushed Cody and Mac to agree to a DNA test and Michael and Joss pleaded for Dex.
Brook Lynn wakes up Chase. He answers the door in his underwear, and she squirts her drink on him.
She tells him he needs to be in peak form and can’t have any coffee because it will be bad for his vocal cords. He steps up the flirtation.
Backing up, she tells him to stop being so sexy. He just wants to get back on the police force. They make out.
She stops it and says he needs to take all this energy and filter it into the show. Once he’s dressed, he’s shocked that she’s throwing away all his food because it’s bad for his voice.
Valentin wakes Anna up in her bed and they play pool man. He tells her that he always wants to remember them doing this after decades of delay.
She hands him his phone when it dings. He gets glum fast. It was a text from Charlotte saying she misses him.
Anna assures him he will see her again and they will bring her home. It won’t be easy. Victor is a formidable opponent but he has her on his side now. They kiss.
The best way to get to his father is still Lucy.
Victor goes to Pentonville to visit Spencer. He can see the other inmates don’t like him and keep dressing him in oversized clothes, stealing from him, and threatening him.
Spencer knows that Victor and Sonny have people protecting him but they can’t do it 24 hours a day. Victor offers to have any convict who crosses him assassinated but Spencer thinks it would only make things worse.
They catch up on life in Port Charles. Spencer refuses to discuss his father but asks about Trina. None of his friends have visited him.
Victor apologizes for not visiting sooner. His nephew says he, Britt, and Laura are the only people who care about him now.
When Victor offers to bring a message to Trina, Spencer turns him down. He’s just worried about her safety.
Spencer snaps when his uncle brings up Nikolas again. Victor tells him to keep his chin up.
When Spencer goes to the library for work, an inmate approaches him and throws a book at his feet.
When Spencer refuses to pick it up, the guy punches him to the ground.

Kelly Thiebaud exits and the latest GH comings and goings
Sonny meets Nina at the Metro Court. They talk about the attack Alexis published on the Hook and hope she knows what she’s doing.
Nina thanks him for getting her a bodyguard. When he says he hopes this won’t last much longer, she asks if he knows who is behind the attacks.
He says he’s working on it. She asks how things went with Michael last night. He changes the topic to Sasha and the funeral arrangements.
They argue about Ava and Nikolas getting back together. He complains about the prince being a bad person and she says things are more complicated between the couple than he knows.
She points out that people don’t think any more highly of their relationship than they do of Ava and Nikolas’.
Selina interrupts and offers her condolences for Brando. She asks Sonny if he will be at The Savoy to see Chase perform. Nina exits.
Selina bluntly asks Sonny if he’s convinced he can keep Nina safe. They chat about Diane and Wu assumes these attacks are related to him. This could be bad for business and that will affect her too.
She reminds him that there will be a game at The Savoy tonight. She offers him a seat at the table. He says he won’t be able to make it.
Chase shows up. He wants to thank Nina for putting a word in with Curtis to get him his gig. Sonny explains that’s not what happened. As he does, he realizes that Selina set it up.
Anna and Valentin get a table and strategize about how to deal with Victor. They need to find someone he won’t see coming.
Nina approaches, happy to see they’ve made it official. He prompts her to at least pretend to be jealous. She’s glad he looks so happy.
After some chit-chat, she takes off. Turning to Anna, he says he thinks Nina is the answer. She could be used to get them access to Charlotte.
Liz stops by Ava’s hospital room as she packs up to be discharged. Ava thanks her for telling the truth about Nikolas’ alibi.
The nurse tells her that Nikolas has had a very dark life, but he is capable of real unwavering love.
Ava is one of the only people he’s ever loved. But it’s up to her about what she can tolerate from him.
Bringing up her blackout, Ava asks if she’s okay. Liz claims she just has too much on her mind.
Alexis joins Gregory in the waiting area. Neither of them has slept much. He’s been waiting for Diane to get out of surgery.
She wonders if their op-ed will bring the killer out. He leads her off to get some food.
Nikolas walks into General Hospital and tells Finn to mind his own business, lecturing him for interfering in his personal life.
They bicker about Liz. Nikolas says he gave her an alibi to protect her, but Finn thinks he was just out to protect himself.
The doctor attacks the prince when he suggests that Liz is a mess because of him. Gregory and Alexis arrive in time to break it up.
Alexis starts lecturing her nephew and drags him away. She tells him he can’t brawl in the hospital and reminds him Diane is in surgery.
He commends her on the op-ed. She just hopes it works. Otherwise she has just poked the bear and made everything worse.
Sitting down, he flashes back to giving Ava a confession that would clear her in Esme’s death. After Alexis gives him a hug, she spots Victor and takes off fast.
Victor strolls over and tells him it’s time he stepped up. His son needs him now more than ever.
Meanwhile, Finn vents to his father about Nikolas and how much he doesn’t trust him. They’ll meet later at Chase’s performance.
Gregory bumps into Liz, who is distracted by her flashbacks again.
He knows she’s been going through a rough time and reminds her how much his son cares about her. She asks him about Finn’s late wife.
Finn tracks down Alexis and says he has news about Diane.
Nina drops by Ava’s room to pick her up. She wants to put her up at her place.
Nikolas arrives with Victor and announces she will be going home with him.
Ava tells the prince she’s not ready to live under the same room as him yet. She agrees to move in with Nina.
