General Hospital recap for Thursday, February 17, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Victor tests Drew’s conditioning, Liz gets a disturbing delivery, and Brando tracks down Sasha to talk.

Anna arrives at General Hospital and finds Felicia weeping. She tells Anna how much she wishes she had some connection to Maxie with her right now.
Anna places the earring Maxie left with the baby in her hand and tells her to hold onto that. She vows that she will stop at nothing to bring her daughter home.
Finn bumps into Liz, surprised to see she’s working a double-shift. He knows the past few days have been hard following the anniversaries of her marriage to Franco and his murder, but he wonders if working herself to death is the answer.
Liz appreciates the concern and he’s not totally wrong. She had a cry this morning but doesn’t have the luxury to curl up. She’s been working more to help pay for Cam to stay in the dorms. As she thinks of her dress being shredded, she’s about to say something when Anna interrupts.
Anna says she’s had the PCPD increase patrols for Brook Lynn and Chase. The doctor wishes he’d finished Peter off when he had the chance. Once the nurse walks off, Anna assures Finn that whoever was with him when he pushed Peter down the stairs is under her protection too. She’s eager to end this whole thing.
When Finn asks how she’s holding up, she says she’s alone but not lonely. She recalls the tea parties they used to have with Violet. That was a really lovely time for her. But she was really stretched back then and couldn’t give them what they needed. She’s sorry for that.
Now Anna doesn’t have to worry about neglecting them and can just pour herself into work. She may be terrible at relationships, but she’s a good spy. He tells her not to blame herself for the mess Peter has caused but she insists it all started because she thought he could be redeemed. The doctor tells her not to forget that her instincts have saved many lives over the years.
They discuss his relationship with Liz. He says it’s new and different. She says he seems happy. He is. And he’s rooting for her to find Peter.
One of the other nurses hands Liz a letter that was sent for her. When she opens it, she finds a black card signed by B and drops it in horror. Finn pops up and wonders what’s wrong. She explains that B must be Franco’s adoptive mom, Betsy. The doctor says it’s a strange sympathy card. She tells herself that’s all it is. He suggests she go home but she refuses.
Felicia returns to Mac as Laura is leaving. She tells her husband that their granddaughter is very happy to be back at the beach house. Mac says they will keep visiting her until she learns that they are her family too. He beats himself up for not listening to Robert’s warning about Peter. She ignored the red flags too and won’t let anyone hurt her family like this again.
Obrecht sneaks up on Austin. The doctor has been listening to the bug she planted on Victor all day but he’s pretty mundane for a super-villain. Liesl says this is still their best hope of finding Maxie and tells him to treat this as penance for what he did. “If anything happens to Maxie, there will be hell to pay,” she warns.
Brando arrives at the Metro Court and is startled to see Sasha (temporarily played by Helena Mattsson) there. He hasn’t been able to find her for a while. Sitting down, he says there are things they need to say.
He doesn’t want to get in the way of her coping. He’s glad she seems to be doing so well but he’s not.
Sasha admits that she’s been avoiding him. They grieve very differently. He needs to talk it out with the person who went through it with him. If they can’t be there for each other now, what are they doing together?
She’s afraid that if she stops, she won’t be able to move forward again. He realizes she’s avoiding him because he’s a reminder of what she went through. She loves him and admires how he wears his heart on his sleeve. She won’t leave him in the dark about how much she cares.

One of Victor’s thugs, Johann, informs him they have found their target.
Sam surprises Drew on the pier, the last place Maxie was. He’s looking for any clues the cops might have missed. They chat about Dante. He’s happy they are all in a good place. Victor strolls over.
He acts surprised to see them and makes an excuse, claiming he was looking for an authority involved with the investigation. They accuse him of being responsible for the latest mess with Peter. Victor claims he has been trying to make amends with his family.
Before Victor can walk off, he turns to Drew and pulls out a tarot card, muttering his activation code. Nothing happens. Victor says the WSB gave it to him and he guessed it was from the card deck that Peter used to condition him. They bicker about him running the clinic where he was held for years.
Sam gets annoyed and Drew asks her to leave them alone. Once they are, he throws Victor against the wall and starts threatening him. Victor isn’t very threatened but Drew leaves in a huff. Victor tells his thug that Drew has information that could lead to a long buried Cassadine secret. They need to find a way to track it. He notices the bug on the ground.
Obrecht and Austin have been listening in on this. There’s a sudden violent sound that startles them. The signal is lost. Laura finds them whispering together. Liesl decides the mayor may be the right person to involve in this. They fill her in on what they heard. The mayor is starting to think that Drew is the key to whatever brought Victor back to Port Charles.
As Maxie and Peter drive through Switzerland, he tells her they are going somewhere no one will ever find them. She wonders where they are headed so he tells her about his time at boarding school. During the summer, they would send him off to a farm in the mountains. He bought it in case he ever needed to disappear.
He won’t give her the location of where they are going. She asks to pull over to use the restroom. Peter wonders if that’s a trick.
When Maxie goes into a bathroom, she leaves her earring by the sink and writes “Help! Call Anna” with a number on the mirror with lipstick. After she walks out, a woman walks in and sees it. She calls the number, explaining to Anna that she just found it in Switzerland.
As Peter and Maxie get back on the road, he reminds her that he only agreed to leave Louise behind because she promised they could start over again. She says it may take some time, but she feels like she’s going to look forward to her future. Looking out the window, she smiles to herself.
Back in Port Charles, Maxie goes to Mac and Felicia and tells them about the call. She also got a photo of the earring which matches the one that was found with Bailey. She, Drew, and Sam are flying to Switzerland. Felicia wants to come too but Anna refuses. Mac tells her that staying there is for the best.
In the corridor, Anna asks Drew if he is going to be a liability. He assures her that he is on this. If he is triggered, he trusts her to do what needs to be done.
