With the Help of Chelsea the Medium, Liz Gets a Disturbing Message from the Spirit World

General Hospital recap for Wednesday, May 11, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Carly tells Drew about Willow’s mother, Liz meets with the medium, and Nina fights with Michael and Willow in the graveyard.

We also have Tuesday’s GH recap where Willow was determined to confront her bio mom and Spencer confronted Esme.

Finn calls Liz to check in on her. Nikolas asked her to stay at Wyndemere. There’s no place more secure than Spoon Island. She has to make a stop on the way.

Liz heads heads home and lights some candles. The doorbell rings and Chelsea the medium arrives. Liz explains Lucy has said great things about her. “What do you say we contact a spirit!” she declares.

Liz tells her about all the signs from Franco that seem to be showing up. Chelsea assures her she is not a psychic but does believe the spirits are always talking.

Since most of the incidents happened in the house, this is where they should try to contact the spirit.

The nurse wonders what happens if it’s not him. She doesn’t get an answer. They dim the lights and light more candles. Chelsea explains the difference between ghosts and poltergeists and asks Liz for something of sentimental value to Franco.

Liz gets Franco’s ring. They sit and close their eyes. Chelsea calls to the spirit world. Her eyes flash open and she declares there is a dark presence in the house.

Chelsea declares the house is unsafe. Liz assumes it can’t be Franco. Picking up the ring, Chelsea says the person haunting her was traumatized and abandoned. They found their family in these walls and doesn’t like the family there now.

Liz refuses to believe that and begs Chelsea to tell Franco that she is ready to listen to him.

Drew takes Carly into the alley outside Charlie’s and asks why she put Nina’s wine glass in her purse. She can’t explain. That sounds ominous to him. She’d like to talk to Jason about this.

Drew can’t be that guy for her. He will always be honest with her and will help her dig herself out of a mess if he can. She warns this is big. He’s still listening.

Carly explains that before Harmony died, she told her Nina is Willow’s birth mother. He’s shocked. She’s been looking for some kind of evidence to back it up. A DNA test is the only option.

Willow doesn’t know about any of this. She’s not putting this on her plate until she knows the truth. He wonders how she will get Willow’s DNA. She reminds him he lives on the same estate.

Laura finds Sonny thinking outside of Kelly’s. He tells her about Monica filing the paperwork to have Jason declared legally dead. There’s debate about where the memorial plaque should be.

Nikolas spots them and listens as Laura asks Corinthos about the article on Nina that was just published. There’s a lot in him about what happened between them.

The Cassadine strolls over and says the piece painted Nina in a bad light. That must mean they are perfect for each other.

Laura tells him not to say anything if he has nothing nice to say. Nikolas will remind her of that next time she sees Victor.

The prince doesn’t see why she sides with a bully like Sonny. Corinthos calls him an idiot. As he walks off, Nikolas taps his shoulder. Sonny grabs his hand and threatens him.

Martin joins them and Laura gets Sonny to back off. The mob boss wanders away. Nikolas and his mother begin arguing about Esme. Laura will reserve judgement on Esme but is sure Trina is innocent.

Laura insists that Nikolas go to the hospital to have his hand checked out. After he leaves, Martin comments that trouble certainly seems to follow their family.

They sit down and chat. He assures her that things are good with Lucy the “sexual panther.” They chat about the situation with Liz and whether she is being haunted.

In her room at Wyndemere, Esme tells Spencer they need to be honest with her. He confronts her about her nanny’s letter urging her to stay away from her father. “Who exactly is your father?” he asks.

She claims that she lost contact with her nanny and hadn’t spoken to her in years. Once she tracked her down, she fished for details about her biological parents and used tales on Spencer to try and get her to open up.

When that failed and she learned nothing, she cut her out. Spencer wonders why she’s kept her letters. She claims she’s sentimental. When you have no real family, you feel isolated. But her letters remind her of better days.

She asks if he believes in their future. He’s sorry for doubting her. Esme tells him he keeps letting his friends get in his head. She wants to get back to what they had. He wants that too.

She starts kissing him and peels off his shirt. When she goes for his pants, he stops her. He claims he can’t reconnect with her immediately. They need to do it right so it’s meaningful.

She says that’s sweet but reminds him it’s not their first time. He thinks they need to treat it like it is. They need to start on the right foot if they are going to spend the rest of their lives together.

He promises that he has something very special in store for her. Before he can leave, she asks if there’s anything else he wants to ask. He flashes back to finding the pills and claims they have it all figured out.

She’s excited for the big surprise. After he leaves, she tells herself not to take any of that on face value.

Spencer looks at the pill and then send Britt a text, asking to meet.

Michael returns to the gatehouse. Willow tells him she had an intense talk with Alexis. She’s determined to have the DNA test, which she thinks will prove she’s related to no one.

Nina stops by Nelle’s grave and tells her about the visitation fight and the way she is being smeared in the press. Unfortunately, a lot of what’s been written about her is true.

She just wants the world to know Nelle wasn’t all bad and her life mattered. She’d like to make Carly suffer the way she made Nelle suffer. However, Nina has regrets about how she’s handled things.

Nina is prepared to go all the way in her battle to be part of Wiley’s life to make sure her daughter’s life is not forgotten. Michael and Willow show up to visit Jonah’s death.

Nina tells Willow she knows the pain she is going through. Michael brings up some of Nelle’s misdeeds. Nina tries to ignore him. Willow says she’s lost her mother in more ways than one and if Nina wants to be sympathetic, she will end the legal case.

They argue about the Smoltz article. Nina claims she’s always tried to compromise with them. Willow starts screaming. “My heart breaks for you,” Nina says, but empathy for her doesn’t overshadow her love for Wiley or Nelle.

Sonny shows up and interrupts. After he and Michael snipe at each other, Michael asks him to say that Nina has been in the wrong. This rubs his father the wrong way.

Sonny wants an apology from his son. He’s not getting one. Left alone, Sonny tells Nina she will have to go for the jugular in the court room.

She wonders if they should keep their distance until this is over. Then they can decide what, if anything is next. He tells her to save him a dance.

Carly and Drew sneak into the gatehouse. He keeps guard while she searches. When she comes downstairs with a toothbrush, Michael and Willow return and wonder what they are doing.

At General Hospital, Nikolas is confused when Finn thanks him for letting Liz stay at Spoon Island. The prince hasn’t even spoken to her.
