General Hospital recap for Monday, May 23, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Brad annoys Carly, TJ and Curtis learn about Marshall’s meds, and Dante tries to get his father to back down.
We also have Friday’s GH recap where Finn and Cam caught Liz stalking herself and Bobbie threw a drink in Nina’s face.
Outside, Brook Lynn gripes about Linc ruining her songs. Chase tells her to write new ones but she wants her old songs back. She won’t give up til she gets them back. He asks what the plan is. She can’t sue Linc. She needs his help but he can’t do anything about her “highly unethical plan.”
He can’t abide by entrapment. She calls the songs her babies. He’s baffled. She tries to explain and he accuses her of mourning Bailey. She denies that. It’s about her taking her life back. Will he help? He can’t. She’ll do it herself.
Outside court, Carly reels while she gets the text that the DNA results are in. Meanwhile inside, Nina’s grateful Sonny’s there but thinks it’s better she go since Michael and Willow are shooting daggers at him.
He won’t leave. Carly wanders in and the lawyers ensure that their clients are in. Since they are, the hearing begins. In their seats, Scott’s glad Nina got Sonny there. She claims she didn’t but Scott says he has to do what he has to do for the case. He wants Sonny on the stand.
Sonny shakes his head but when Nina glances at him, he nods. Scotty presents first and Diane interrupts. The judge tells her to sit down. She’ll have her turn. Nina’s called to the stand. She vows to tell the truth. They discuss Nelle and when she learned she was her daughter.
Her grandson is all she has left of her daughter. She tears up, remembering meeting him and she calls him a warm and inviting spirit. Scott asks why his parents cut her off. She relays that they decided she was a bad influence.
She isn’t perfect but she’s a good grandma. She loves him and he loves her. He’s her family. She tells Michael and Willow that no matter how they try, they can’t change that. Scott knows Sonny can see Wiley but she was deemed a bad influence.
Diane interjects but the judge withdraws. They discuss Harmony being in the kid’s life and she was a murderer. Diane has questions. Carly grins while Nina looks exhausted already. She asks who knew Nelle was hers. Nina says Carly and Jax did.
Diane bets that’s upsetting. Nina says of course it was, she regrets the time they never got to spend together. Things would have been different. She could have given her the love she deserved and maybe Nelle wouldn’t have turned out this way.
Diane brings up her coma. Nelle was in her 20s when she came out of it. She calls raising her a delusional fantasy. Scott objects. Nina tears up and Diane doesn’t think she has Wiley’s interest at all.
Scotty yells that this is character assassination but Diane reminds him that her character is on trial.
Diane brings up the story in the news about Nixon Falls. Nina only skimmed it but Diane doesn’t care – she plods on to remind Nina she kept the truth about Sonny being alive to herself.
Scotty calls badgering but the judge sustains in. Diane thinks revenge alone is driving Nina. She pushes Nina to admit she lied. She admits she did and it doesn’t make her a bad grandma. How can she prove she loves him if she’s shut out of his life?
Diane says she “had a chance and threw it in the garbage.” Sonny tells Scotty to get him on the stand. Nina whispers that he doesn’t have to do this. “Yes. I do!” Scotty calls Sonny to the stand. Carly seethes.

Gregory reads the news about the hearing starting as he makes a picnic with Violet at the park. He throws her Frisbee and Alexis strolls up with it in her hand.
She jokes about suing him. She just finished Tai chi class.
He admires it but hasn’t done it. He shows her the article about Nina. He’s not a fan of how she expresses her opinion, which makes Alexis glare at him. Violet blows bubbles behind them as they debate her story.
She was proud of it and calls it truthful and unbiased.
“Was it?” He asks. At least as a reader, you know where they stood. She tells him she’s competing with so many others. She thinks he read the headline and judged her based on that. Violet continues to blow bubbles and then thinks her grandpa isn’t playing nicely.
He apologizes for criticizing her but he doesn’t retract it. She encourages him to state his opinion on the record. “Unless you’re all talk.” She tells him The Invader welcomes all opinions. Unless he’s afraid.
Violet explains that he’s not afraid of anything. He gets a text and needs to go.
At the hospital, Laura hugs Cam and they catch up about Liz stalking herself.
In her room, Liz is upset about what she did. She worries who is next. She’s a threat to everyone she cares about which is why she needs to go away and stay away. Laura and Cam head into her room and Laura encourages her to face what’s wrong and deal with it.
She cries to Cam that she doesn’t want to harm him or his brothers. She needs Finn to have her back. He does but doesn’t see the benefit of hiding her away from those who love her. Laura feels they need to do what’s best for her.
They decide to send her to Shadybrook Sanitarium. She won’t let Finn take her. Everyone files out and he feels frustrated that he can’t help. She wonders if there’s something buried that feels guilty about her feelings for him.
She can’t have him holding her hand. They tell each other they’ll miss one another. It may only be a few weeks.
Later, Violet and Gregory arrive. They tell them about her trip and there are hugs all around when Liz turns up. Liz hugs Cam and then Finn. She asks him to tell her boys she loves them and that she’ll be home as soon as she can.
She leaves with Ryan and Laura.
In his own room, Marshall wakes up with a start. He smiles upon seeing Curtis.
They discuss why it was easier for Marshall to run rather than give him answers. Curtis only wants to start fresh with his dad. They hold hands and Curtis says he hopes he wants that too.
Marshall reminds Curtis that he’s a runner.
Whose to say he won’t run again? Curtis shakes his head.
He’s not giving up. TJ rushes in, glad his grandfather is awake. When Stella walks in he says, “Oh Lord!” She snipes. “You better be thanking him, too.” She calls them three strangers to Three Amigos.
She tells Marshall he’s a fool if he doesn’t grab the chance with his family with both hands. Everyone files out as the doctor goes to examine him and then Stella asks the guys why Marshall left this time.
Curtis hands TJ the pills and Stella learns the pills are anti-psychotic medicine. Later, Marshall gets into a wheelchair. He needs some scans. He tells them he’ll be going home with his family after.
