General Hospital recap for Friday, August 12, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Trina worries about the verdict, Portia and Curtis agree to go forward with their plan, and Britt wonders if Cody is running a scam.
We also have Thursday’s GH recap where Spencer rejected the plea and prepared for prison as the jury readied their verdict.
In her office at General Hospital, Portia tells Curtis that the jury is preparing to come back with a verdict. They have no time to wait. She needs to wake up Oz now.
He reminds her they are in this together but she says they have no time for a diversion. All she needs to do is inject him.
He points out this isn’t only risking Oz’s life, it could mess up hers.
Curtis urges her to find a cover so she won’t incriminate herself.
Holding her back, he says he won’t trade Trina’s freedom for hers. She reminds him he wasn’t so reluctant to let TJ do it. He points out the circumstances were different.
Curtis thinks they should stick with the original plan. She thinks that could land them all in Pentonville. “At least we’ll be together,” he says.
Outside of Oz’s room, Rory assures Jordan that she can trust him to keep watch because of how much he cares about Trina. He will make sure no one enters.
She wishes Oz would wake up. They talk about how important Trina is to many people. Rory promises she will be the first to know if anything happens.
Trina chases TJ down in the hallway, eager to hear if Oz has woken up. He doesn’t have any good news in that department. She’s usually optimistic but not so sure right now.
They sit down and he reminds her of how many people are on her side. She say Oz is the only person who can exonerate her and asks if they can wake him up.
TJ mulls that over. She assumes it’s not impossible. The doctor explains bringing him out of the coma could cause serious damage or kill him.
TJ admits he almost forget his oath just so he could help her.
Portia and Curtis stroll over and are surprised to see her daughter there. They talk about the jury coming back soon and Portia holds her.
TJ leaves the family alone and Portia encourages her daughter to spend some time with her friends and hope for a miracle.
Trina knows she stopped TJ from doing something unethical with Oz and is happy about that.
Curtis tells the doctor to do what she’s gotta do while he stays with Trina. He gets her a bag of unflavored chips and she goes back to worrying about Oz not waking up in time.
He promises that everyone who cares is doing all they can for her.
Jordan finds TJ studying Oz’s chart. She reminds him they can’t force things. He knows… but they could. TJ mentions the extreme measures he suggested to Portia and Curtis but they shot him down.
He wishes he was as confident as her that justice will be done.
Portia arrives at Oz’s door and tells Rory she wants to check on him. He won’t let her in because she’s not on the list. She claims she just wants to look at him.
Rory promises that no one will interfere with Oz. She tells him justice delayed is justice denied. “Can’t you…” she starts. He’s confused.
Portia drifts back to her daughter and Curtis. She tells her Rory is not letting anyone in that room. Curtis gets antsy.
Rory calls Jordan and informs her that Portia tried to get into Oz’s room. He wanted to make sure he did the right thing.
Jordan steps away and eavesdrops on Portia and Curtis talking about how nothing is impossible. As Portia hugs Curtis, she whispers she needs to find another way into the room.
After making an excuse, she says she will catch up with them later and takes off. Trina thinks she’s acting weird and wants to talk to her mom. He stops that.
Nervously, Curtis assures her he will take care of her mother and she just wants a happy end to her trial. Trina panics that she won’t be able to say goodbye to her.
He promises they will be at the courthouse to support her.
TJ finds Jordan shaking her head. He wishes Oz would wake up. When she gets on the elevator, she mulls over everything TJ and Rory said today. She pulls the alarm.
Rory leaves his post to run as the alarm goes off. Portia sneaks into Oz’s room, closes the blinds, and pulls out the syringe to inject him.

Liesl and Britt take Scott to Charlie’s. After they check to see if his nose is broken, Scott tells them that if Dominique had another kid, he would have known about it.
Liesl wonders if he knew her as well as he thought. The lawyer refuses to believe that.
Britt adds that people stay silent for lots of reasons.
Her mom says she may not have been keeping a secret so much as trying to protect him.
Scott wonders if she was trying to protect her son. He explains that Dominique was married to Leopold Taub, a social climber with connections to Faison.
They think over how this could have happened. It all makes sense to Britt, although she wonders if it’s just Cody working an angle. She offers to arrange a DNA test.
Scott says that’s not necessary. He can see it in Cody. He just has to figure out what Dominique would want him to do.
Once Scott takes off, Liesl tells Britt that she’s proud of Scott. She’s not afraid of his past. Britt envies her faith in true love. Obrecht assures her it’s waiting for her too.
Britt says true love isn’t for everyone. She had a shot with Jason but now she’s damaged goods. Her mom laughs and says everyone is damaged. The right person helps you heal.
Dante takes Cody into the PCPD and lectures him for punching Scott. The cop asks how long he’s been hunting Scott.
Cody claims it was incidental. He didn’t even know who Baldwin was until a couple of months ago and seeing him today just made him explode.
His whole life could have been different. Growing up, he never thought he’d be more than a cook’s son.
A few months ago he was told the women he thought was his mom was dying. When he went to say goodbye, she told him that Dominique was his birth mother.
He was supposed to grow up in the house on the hill. Dante can relate. He didn’t find out Sonny was his dad until he shot him. That messes with your head.
Cody complains that Scott stole everything and claims to know nothing about him. Dante wonders if he’s mad at Scott or his mother.
His friends concedes he might be right about that. Everything he would have received from his mother has been sold off.
Dante offers to recommend a lawyer to him but he’s going to the cells. There’s nothing else he can do for him.
Scott shows up and announces he’s dropping the charges. He thinks that Cody is for real.
Once Cody is uncuffed, Scott assures him that Dominique never mentioned him and she must have had her reasons. This just sounds like BS to Cody.
Dante thinks Scott is telling the truth.
