General Hospital recap for Wednesday, February 1, 2023. In today’s GH episode, Jordan resists telling Curtis what she thinks, Stella backs down from confronting Portia, and Trina thinks Spencer still wants a relationship with his father.
We also have Tuesday’s GH recap where Stella realized Curtis is Trina’s father, Ava gave Spencer blackmail material on Nikolas, and Willow flatlined after giving birth.
At General Hospital, Nina and Sonny anxiously wait for news about Willow’s surgery. He tries to keep her calm.
Curtis shows up, fresh from Drew telling him that Willow is her daughter.
She tells him this miracle has been a long time coming and it’s real. They hug.
After he gives his congratulations, he realizes something is wrong. He and Nina rehash what happened with Sasha and then he asks them to his wedding.
They can’t wait for the wedding. He tells Nina he will see her at the memorial and takes off.
Nina and Sonny return to worrying about Willow.
Carly jogs in and joins Michael and Joss as they look at the new baby in the premature ward.
He wonders why he hasn’t heard about Willow’s surgery yet and they ask him about baby names. Bobbie comes out and leads Michael off to hold his daughter.
Carly and Joss watch as he holds the baby. Joss takes pictures and her mom reminds her of how little she used to be.
Michael tells his daughter that it’s his job to protect her and he will do anything for her.
Sonny calls Carly to explain the doctors are looking for Michael. After he walks off, Carly wants to follow but her mom and daughter remind her that Nina will be with Sonny.
They go to see the baby instead.
Back in the waiting area, Sonny encourages miserable Nina to have some faith. She prays for Willow’s life.
Michael adds his prayers. He needs her and so does Wiley and their new daughter.
In the operating room, the doctor’s struggle to keep Willow alive. She has an out of body experience and starts walking to Harmony in the mist.
She tells Harmony that she’s not her mother and never loved her. Harmony says Nina only loves herself while she loved her through all the moves in their lives.
“I can still make it better,” she says, prompting Willow to look into the light and not be afraid.
She reaches out her hand and offers to take her to a better place filled with peace and tranquillity.
Willow takes her hand and they start walking. After a few steps, she looks back.
Harmony says there is one more step and leads her along. Willow can hear Michael praying and turns back.
Austin goes out to the family and tells them Willow is doing great. They are all thrilled and thank him.
Michael runs off and Austin says Willow clearly doesn’t want to leave them yet.
Michael sends his mom a text to tell her the news.
He sits by Willow’s side and holds her hand, telling her about their baby. He urges her to wake up so they can give their little girl a name.

In an office, Stella tells Jordan that she can’t officiate Portia and Curtis’ wedding knowing that Trina could be his daughter. It’s not right.
Portia walks in and Jordan announces she has to attend the memorial.
Stella and Portia leave to pick up the wedding dress.
Curtis bumps into Jordan and tells her she’s brave to face Britt’s family on a day like today. They are both sure they would feel the same way Obrecht does.
She asks about the wedding and tells him she wants him to be happy. “That’s why…” she starts but drops it.
He guesses something is wrong but she evades answering and says she hopes for a happy ending.
Carolyn tells Liz that she has finished consulting on a case and is leaving town. She doesn’t want anything to do with the person who requested her help and neither should she.
She explains that Nikolas brought her to town. Speaking to him made it clear that the prince roped her into doing something wrong, even illegal.
Nikolas asked her to use her skills to suppress Esme’s memories. She refused and tells her daughter that the Cassadine does not have her best interests at heart.
Carolyn hopes she can earn her forgiveness one day. Liz thanks her for telling her this and for not calling her “Lizzie.”
Trina is confused when Spencer shows him the video confession that his father made.
She assumes he will use this to blackmail his way to custody of Esme’s baby.
Trina reminds him Esme is a monster and his father was acting in a rage. If he goes down this path, he will be deliberately destroying his father’s life.
Spencer wonders if she thinks he should let him get away with this. She urges him to think about why his father confessed and why Ava gave it to him. It could just be another game between them.
He thinks that’s fine if it saves his brother or sister. Trina doesn’t want to be in the middle of that mess.
Spencer remains confident that his plan will work. She wonders why he doesn’t just go straight to the cops.
They head into the chapel and he explains that he doesn’t want to turn this into a legal matter.
She tells him that by keeping this from the police, he’s not completely shutting the door on his dad.
He insists he only wants to protect his sibling. Jordan interrupts.
Trina leaves them alone to talk. She’s surprised to hear they have something to discuss.
Portia and Stella go to pick up their gowns. The doctor says that her butterflies have butterflies.
Stella wonders why she is particularly nervous. Portia guesses something is bothering her.
She tells her that she used to just think she needed her medical degree and daughter, but now she has Curtis and his family. This wedding is about all of them.
Stella tells her those are some beautiful sentiments. Sobbing Portia gives her an heirloom bracelet and asks her to wear it to the wedding.
She’s surprised when Stella refuses. Stella tries making an excuse but Portia pleads.
She reminds her of how she lied to Curtis for years. She’s not sure she would make the same choice again.
After Stella tries on her dress, Portia says now she knows everything will be perfect.
At Spring Ridge, Esme tries to swallow her boyfriend’s father being her baby’s father. Nikolas tells her there’s a lot to explain but she should trust him.
He claims that before she lost her memory, she told him about their strength of their bond. She wonders why his son is claiming the baby is his.
The prince says his son is lying. Besides, they have more important things to face like her precarious legal situation.
He hands her a document to sign, assuring her it will make sure her baby will be waiting for her when she is freed.
She assumes a lawyer should look at it but he claims it’s just a formality. Esme has a lot to process so he offers to come back tomorrow.
Once he’s gone, she asks her baby if they should trust him. She wonders why she doesn’t want to sign the document.
Nikolas heads to GH and bumps into Liz.
