General Hospital recap for Wednesday, December 14, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Liesl tells Nina about Britt’s illness, Britt tells Brad she’s leaving him everything in her will, and Maxie vents about Austin to Cody.
We also have Tuesday’s GH recap where Austin came clean with a furious Maxie, Willow swore Drew to secrecy about her illness, and Ava became suspicious of Liz.
Joss and Trina are in Carly’s kitchen chatting about her date with Rory.
Trina immediately says Spencer is out of prison.
She explains that Rory said he loved her and she didn’t respond. It’s too soon and she just felt scared.
That’s a bad sign.
Rory makes her feel special but she’s not in love with him.
Joss wonders if her feelings for Spencer are getting in the way.
Trina insists she’s not in love with him because she can’t trust him. But he does wake something up in her.
Joss thinks about kissing Dex and says she gets it.
Her friend doesn’t have that kind of pull with Rory. He makes her feel good about herself but is that enough?
It’s not fair to date him when she doesn’t feel the same way he does.
Trina explains that Rory has already invited her to meet his parents.
Now that Spencer is back, everything is more difficult.
Grudgingly, she admits she wants the Cassadine no matter how much she doesn’t want to.
Spencer asked her to start over and she doesn’t think she can. Joss knows none of this is fair, but she should be honest with Rory so he can decide for himself.
Trina worries about how awkward this will be.
“You have to do this! Cam deserves to know the truth,” Joss blurts out, before correcting herself.
At the gym, Sonny and Nina notice that Obrecht is beating a punching bag to the point of exhaustion.
Nina rushes over to check on her aunt.
Meanwhile, Dex shows Sonny his gun and assures him he’s ready for their meeting tomorrow.
Sonny gives him the afternoon off and Dex exits.
Nina rushes over and asks for an ice pack for her aunt.
She’s worried that she seems to want to be in pain.
Returning to her aunt, she asks if she is missing Nathan more than usual.
She reminds her they still have James so Nathan will live on.
“But Britta won’t,” says Obrecht. Nina wonders why she keeps talking about her leaving.
Liesl can’t explain and is determined to keep the secret.
Nina reminds her they are family.
In tears, Obrecht explains that Britt has Huntington’s.
The symptoms are already appearing.
Sonny joins them and tells Liesl she will find the strength to deal with this.
She looks furious and lectures him for eavesdropping.
He tells her about what happened with his father.
Learning he had Alzheimer’s was the worst moment of his life.
But in the end, there were flashes of his old self and he saw sides of him he never knew.
The times they had were a gift.
After Obrecht gives Nina a hug, she takes Sonny’s hand and thanks him. He hugs her.
Once she’s gone, Nina tells Sonny how wonderful he is.
That’s everything to her.
Maxie gets off the phone with her mom at Perks.
Cody joins her and asks if she needs any help.
She reminds him they aren’t related. He’s eager to listen.
She tells him about Austin blackmailing Spinelli. He says that sometimes talking honestly is hard.
Maxie can’t understand why men are like that.
Cody tells her he’s not someone to go to for relationship advice and adds that he messed things up with Britt.
He wonders if she plans to work things out with Austin.
She’s terrified that the doctor isn’t the person she thought he was.
Cody tells her that people massage the truth when trying to impress someone.
She says that if you want to go the distance, you have to tell the truth.
Shaking his head, he tells her no one wants the real him.
When he admits he likes the real Britt, she urges him not to give up on her.

At Kelly’s, Cam is shocked to see Spencer has been released.
Dante welcomes him home and hopes he learned a thing or two.
Spencer claims he has. The cop wishes him luck and leaves.
Cam is surprised when his friend explains he’s living at Wyndemere again.
Spencer admits he’s already reached out to Trina and it didn’t go well.
They chat about Joss and then the hook. Cam says it’s not clear that it’s Esme.
Spencer notes he always sees the good in people.
He wonders about what to do and if he should jet off to Europe.
It’s not like anything is keeping him there.
They chat about Trina and how happy she is with Rory.
When Dex walks in, Cam isn’t happy to see him.
Spencer wonders why he dislikes him so Cam tells him what he knows about Joss and the “wannabe gangster.”
There was a major confrontation with Sonny and Joss hates him for it.
The Cassadine assumes that Dex is manipulating Joss. Dex calls for service so Cam walks over to him.
After Dex places his order, Spencer strolls over and introduces himself as Sonny’s nephew.
That means he also works for him.
As he orders Dex to stay away from Joss, Joss walks in.
Dex decides to leave.
When he taunts Spencer about how well Sonny pays him, Spencer punches him in the face.
Rory is called into Jordan’s office.
She commends him for standing by a battery victim in the hospital beyond the call of duty.
He asks if he can bring a guest to the holiday party.
She tells him he’s lucky to be with someone like Trina.
Dante joins them with an update on the hook case.
The venom on the weapon is from a secret snake in the south Asian islands.
Rory points out it’s been two months since Oz was killed.
Maybe it’s over?
Jordan says maybe, or maybe the hook is just resting up.
It’s premature to think it’s done.
Rory thanks them for letting him sit in and offers to drop the report off on Dante’s desk.
On the way, he stops, looks inside the file and takes a photo.
Later, Trina shows up looking for Rory.
No one in the office knows where he is.
Rory goes to apartment 32. When he knocks, the door in unlocked and he enters.
Walking the halls of General Hospital, Brad and Britt chat about her party plans. He’s noticed that Cody is not on the guest list.
She explains that Society Set-Ups is a fraud and is really just a dressed-up dating app.
He thought Cody was better than just someone going after a necklace.
Brad wishes she would finally start enjoying her life.
They continue making party plans. When she mentions she needs to speak to her lawyer, he’s confused.
Britt didn’t mean to bring this up but she needs to talk about her will. The mess with the necklace reminded her that it’s important to write things down.
She’s leaving everything to him. He’s shocked.
She hopes that he uses the money to get away from Selina and start fresh.
He jokes about her planning to die tomorrow. The doctor explains it’s not the plan but she needs to be prepared.
“This will thing, it really means the world to me,” he admits. She tells him he’s her bestfriend in the whole world.
Hugging her, he tells her they are family.
She has a spasm and drops her phone but claims it’s nothing. He admits he’s confused by her celebrating her birthday this year.
Britt says she wants to be more than the woman who fell in the pool. She wants people to see her in all her glory.
Brad gives his word that that is exactly what she will get.
