General Hospital recap for Thursday, December 15, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Spencer tells Trina he’s leaving, Alexis and Curtis strategize, and Maxie vents to Sam about Austin.
We also have Wednesday’s GH recap where Rory snooped in the police hook case file, Trina admitted she wanted Spencer not Rory, and Spencer punched Dex.
Rory heads to apartment 82 and finds the door open. He walks in and the door shuts behind him.
The hook appears and Rory gets off a shot.
Dante arrives in the hall and calls in backup.
When he kicks in the door, he finds a man bleeding on the floor.
Rory stumbles out of the bedroom, bleeding and claiming he was attacked by the hook.
In her office, Jordan tells Trina that Rory must be clearing up some paperwork since his shift ended.
When she says she can wait there, Trina gets awkward and leaves.
Jordan gets a call about Dante and Rory.
Jordan and some cops hurry over to the apartment.
They pull Rory off to the paramedics.
At General Hospital, Portia asks Liz if planning a wedding while Esme is on the loose is reckless.
Liz tells her not to let anyone stand in the way of happiness and assures her Esme will never take another life. She’s sure she will get caught.
Finn almost interrupts this but heads to the elevators.
His father is waiting for him and insists on taking him out.
Gregory says that even Violet has noticed he’s sad.
The doctor feels bad and wishes he’d done better for her. His daughter needs some kind of family and he doesn’t know how he can take that away from her.
His father reminds him that he still loves Liz. There’s still the chance they could salvage their relationship.
Back at the nurses’ station, Portia reminds Liz that neither she nor Finn have RSVP’d for the wedding.
The nurse wouldn’t miss it but she can’t speak for Finn since they broke up.
The cops bring Rory in and demand the anti-venom they used for Diane.
Liz is shocked that the hook was behind the attack.
Nikolas startles Ava at the galley and tells her that he will always love her.
“If only that’s all it took to fix things,” she says, listing all the things stacked against them.
She’s going to order delivery and asks him to stay.
He wishes he could, but hands her divorce papers instead and announces it’s over.
Ava assumes this is his uncle’s doing but he insists it’s not.
He doesn’t want a protracted legal battle and says the financial settlement is generous.
She insists that he’s being driven to do this against his will and demands to know who is behind this.
Getting more distraught, she demands to know why he’s changed his mind.
The prince claims he is still a faithless man and blurts out that he had an affair with Liz.
Ava demands details but he won’t give them. She wonders if he was stuck in her “bottomless pit of need.”
He announces that she is pregnant with his baby. Nikolas can’t fail another child.
She looks at the sharp letter opener on her desk. Picking it up, she stabs the divorce paper into the wall.
Telling him to go and be a daddy, she reminds him she could have killed him.
He hates that it is like this.
She warns that it could get far, far worse.
“God have mercy on you, you’ll get none from me,” she says.
He walks out. She weeps.

Curtis holds the bag while Alexis punches it at the gym.
He thinks it’s good for her to get in the right mental space to go after a killer.
They scheme how to go after the killer. She’s not sure what they can do.
He admits that he indirectly got some information.
They shake on not doing anything with it unless they both agree.
Curtis explains that Ryan has been giving Jordan advice on the killer.
He doesn’t think that Esme is the killer.
Given the fact that Ryan never does anything without self-interest, he assumes there is more to Esme and Ryan’s relationship than they know.
Jordan calls him, looking for Taggert. She tells him the hook has struck again.
At Kelly’s, Spencer orders Dex to pay for his meal. When Dex brags about how well Sonny paid him, Spencer punches him to the floor.
Dex leaps up and the Cassadine challenges him to do some damage.
Joss and Cam get between them and Dex storms out.
Spencer asks her what it is about the “punk” that makes her so protective of him.
He bickers with his friends and then stomps out.
Spencer bumps into Trina outside and complains about how there seems to be a rule about not sticking up for your friends now.
She’s sure his heart was in the right place.
They sit and he informs her he’s taking off. People in town look at him like dirt.
Trina says he’s wrong and he should open his eyes.
His eyes are open and he can see the people he has disappointed. Now he’s moving on to disappoint strangers.
Certainly, he won’t get what he wants there.
He just wants to know how it feels to hurt when you miss someone.
Curtis interrupts and announces there is news.
They go inside and Curtis tells them, Cam and Joss that they need to come with him and be under police protection.
He adds that Rory has been attacked.
Sam joins Maxie at Perks. She needs some perspective from her.
She asks the PI what she thinks of Austin and assumes she doesn’t like him.
Maxie explains that Austin was blackmailing Spinelli. Now she doesn’t trust the doctor.
He was so kind and understanding when she first got to know him. She ignored all the negative things about him, the things that Georgie and Spinelli noticed.
Maxie runs what is wrong with her and Sam assures her that Austin is not as bad as Peter. Her friend encourages her to take a step back and think about what she wants to do.
“At least my life is not up in flames. That’s progress,” Maxie says.
Dex arrives at the gym and thinks of Joss warning him about how Sonny screws everyone over.
He hits the bag and thinks about her.
Alexis shows up at General Hospital and starts sniffing around for clues. Jordan tells her that Rory is fighting for his life and she’ll be damned if she’ll lose another one of her own.
After she strides off, Gregory pops up and tells her what he overheard. They note that venom is involved and that was in the killer’s letter.
As Finn and Portia operate on Rory, Liz worries that the police could be wrong about Esme after all.
Portia goes out as Trina and the others arrive.
She explains that Rory has lost a lot of blood.
When he’s wheeled out, she runs over, yelping his name.
“It was too soon to tell you how I feel. I’m not sorry you know,” he gasps.
His machines start beeping and he loses consciousness.
