General Hospital recap for Thursday, January 11, 2023. In today’s GH episode, Sasha and Cody bond over their losses, Cam opens up to Liz about his break-up, and Brook Lynn and Chase babysit together.
We also have Wednesday’s GH recap where Willow collapsed, Drew broke up with Carly, and with Cody’s help, Brook Lynn played games with Chase.
Cody and Sasha are in the Quartermaine’s solarium waiting for news about Willow and the baby. He looks for wine to dip his biscotti in.
After he lists the disasters in her life, she says it’s refreshing that he doesn’t treat her like she’s fragile.
He’s surprised when she mentions her mother-in-law is named Gladys. He assumes it can’t be the Gladys he knows.
They chat about how great and heroic Britt was. She says Brando was a hero too and she loved her life with him. Even knowing how it ended, she would do it again.
They use their biscotti to toast to Britt and Brando.
Nina looks after Wiley in the gatehouse. She tells the kid that the doctors will look after Willow.
Brook Lynn and Chase watch from outside. She is sure Nina is taking advantage of the situation and they need to stop it.
Sonny shows up and Wiley runs into his arms until Chase and Brook Lynn barge in. She sends Wiley to bed and they ask about Willow.
Sonny explains that she has leukemia. Brook Lynn is shocked. Chase asks if she’ll be okay. Nina explains it’s in stage four.
The kid comes back after brushing his teeth. Sonny and Nina decide to head over to the hospital and say their goodbyes.
Nina tells Wiley she will always be with him and hugs him.
Once she’s gone, Wiley wonders where she’s gone and what’s wrong. Chase and BLQ gloss over it and suggest he make a get well card.
After he does that, he goes off to get a story for Chase to read to him. Chase tells her how good she is with the kid and they remember how good they are with children.
She’s sure he wants to go to GH to see Willow. He doubts that will be good for the situation, which is already complicated enough.
She encourages him to go anyway and offers to cancel tomorrow’s performance. He thinks staying there to help look after Wiley is more more helpful all around.
Chase reads a story that puts her and Wiley to sleep.
Joss, Drew, and Carly jog into general Hospital and ask TJ if Willow is okay. He just got there and promises someone will update them soon.
After he walks off, Joss cries. Her mom tells her Willow and the baby will be fine.
Michael stands outside of Willow’s room and prays all will be well.
He heads down the hall to see his mom and the others. They all know about the leukemia and ask what they can do.
Drew takes Carly aside and tells her she needs to tell Willow who her mom is now. He’s not going to sit on this secret forever.
She thinks they just need to pray right now.
Liz corners Cam at Kelly’s an interrupts him aggressively cleaning a table to ask what’s wrong with him.
He claims he’s just earning extra money. When she brings up Esme, he snaps about how she needs to be put away.
He rails about all the horrible things she’s done and his hopes they take her baby away.
His mom says he doesn’t sound like himself and asks what’s going on.
Cam says there’s nothing she can do. He admits that Joss broke up with him.
“It’s all Esme’s fault,” he complains. She killed the feelings between them.
He says everything was perfect before the video came out. His mom says it’s never just one thing that breaks up a couple.
Cam runs through the “ifs” but his mom is sure there were other issues. She’s sure it hurts but he’ll be able to look back one day and feel grateful for what they had.
He’s sad. She reminds him she loves him. He loves her too and they hug.
Alexis is surprised to find Gregory in her office. He’s been double-checking sources.
She tells him he’s gone above and beyond. He feels like he owes her for getting through to Finn when he couldn’t. Plus, he likes spending time with her.
After she invites him to sit down, he tells her how much he’s enjoying being in the thick of journalism. She admits she’s feeling the rush too.
They talk about how he taught instead of going into the field. He thinks it’s more a young person’s job now. She doubts that and urges him to go for a second act.
Alexis thanks him for his help. He likes spending time with her.
Once he leaves, she gets a call.

Sonny and Nina arrive at the hospital. She fills him in on her fight with Michael.
Michael, Terry, and Willow’s doctor come out and explain they are monitoring things. Willow is stable but critical and they are running out of options.
Drew is confused and thought there was a bone marrow donor. Michael explains they weren’t well enough to go through with it.
Carly looks over at Nina. Michael explains they are just buying time until they can find a match.
Spotting Sonny and Nina heading for the chapel, Drew tells Carly they need to end the madness now.
Joss hugs Michael and he fills her in on what’s been going on and why Willow delayed her chemo.
She gets a text from Dex asking if she’s okay.
Carly goes into Willow’s room. TJ explains they aren’t sure when she will wake up and leaves them alone.
Sitting down, Carly whispers that she needs her to wake up. She’s sorry. She never intended anything like this to happen.
What she needs to say may save her life. Willow fidgets but doesn’t wake up.
Carly exits and asks Drew to tell Michael how sorry she is. She heads off to the chapel.
Joss visits Willow and tells her how sorry she is that this is happening. She hopes she believes that she will be there with her baby. They will all be there for her.
She gets a call and agrees to meet someone.
As Michael walks the hall, he approaches Drew and asks where his mom is. Drew explains she went to see Nina and there’s something he needs to know.
In the chapel, Nina is sure that Sonny is devastated to see what Michael is going through. He wishes he could give him a hug and doesn’t know what to do.
She tells him that being there is a lot. Holding his hand, she tells him she will be thee for Michael and Willow too.
Carly interrupts and asks to speak to Nina alone.
