General Hospital recap for Monday, February 6, 2023. In today’s GH episode, Chase tells Brook Lynn he’s not ready to leave music yet, Austin warns Mason away from Ava, Finn urges Liz not to confess, and Spencer won’t explain anything to Laura.
We also have Friday’s GH recap where Spencer blackmailed Nikolas, who rushed off to confront Ava in a fury, and Liz told Finn she will turn herself in.
At The Savoy, Linc hands Brook Lynn the paperwork for their non-disclosure agreement in exchange for her song catalog.
Blaze and Chase watch them. She tells him that once he leaves their partnership, she will be all alone with Linc.
They look over the table where Linc is placing his hand on Brook Lynn’s leg.
She tells him that he’s not getting groping rights. They argue about what she’s getting and he tells her to spare him the moral outrage.
Chase can hardly stand to watch. Blaze reminds him of what he lost last time he tried to protect BLQ’s honor.
He stalks over and demands to know what’s going on. Linc explains. BLQ pushes his hand away again and tells Chase this agreement gives them both what they want.
She signs off on it. Linc gets up and leads Blaze away.
Chase needs an explanation and admits it was hard not to punch Linc. She’s glad he cares enough to get riled up.
He wonders what she signed off on to get her songs back. She claims she agreed to write some jingles for him. This means that Chase can finish with the music business.
Chase stares over at Blaze and Linc. He tells BLQ he doesn’t want out just yet.
He’s still determined to nail Linc for sexual harassment and hopes she’s still up for that. She tells him Linc will get his some day and encourages him to focus on the police board.
He’s too worried about Blaze and remains determined to take down Linc.
He walks over to Blaze and Linc, declaring they need to record another song. Enthusiastically, she declares they should record a whole album.
Linc toasts to them all getting what they want.
Trina bumps into TJ and General Hospital. They talk about the wedding rehearsal and then she says he probably should forget he saw her there.
She admits that she wants to go and see Spencer. She’s surprised when he tells her that Spencer is a screw-up, but that’s just because he cares so much.
Spencer has always been lonely and probably still is.
They sit and she tells him how worried she is. She suspects a major family blow-up. She’s sure if she sees him face to face, she will know how he is.
They talk about how her family doesn’t want her around the Cassadine. He agrees to keep his mouth shut.
Assuming Spencer is gone, they decide to go to the rehearsal together.
In his office, Liz tells Finn that she needs to confess to what he did. He can’t let her throw everything away.
She thinks he should wash his hands of her but he can’t do that after how she stood by him.
That almost feels like a lifetime ago to her. He’s under no obligation to help.
The doctor says it’s never felt like an obligation. He doesn’t want her to throw her life away for someone like Nikolas.
Finn tells her to stop beating herself up, sure that Nikolas dragged her into the mess with Esme. She made a reasonable mistake.
Liz remains adamant about telling Jordan everything. He asks her to think of her sons and how Cam will likely be left to drop out of school to take care of them.
Is she willing to do that to the kids?
She claims she is doing this for her boys. They need to know she’s not a coward and is taking responsibility.
Before she can exit, he asks her to sleep on it and reminds her she’s supposed to go to the rehearsal dinner. He hopes she’ll realize what she’s losing.
She agrees to think it over. Hugging him, she thanks him for caring whether she deserves it or not.
Down the hall, Laura tells Spencer that he can’t fool her. She demands to know what twisted game he is playing with his father. He better help her before it’s too late.
Spencer flashes back to Ava giving him the video confession to use against Nikolas.
He tells his grandmother that he’s not holding a threat over his father, just the truth.
She demands to know what that is but he can’t tell her. If his father goes down, that will be his choice.
That sounds like something illegal to her. He won’t explain but it’s best she drop this.
When he tells her that his father is a waste of time, she reminds him he used to worship him.
“That time is past,” he says. His father has disappointed him too many times and he’s had enough. He’d of done them all a favor if he’d stayed dead.
She’s sure he doesn’t mean that. Laura was hoping that he and his father would bond again when he returned.
Spencer is sure he doesn’t want his father in his life. She asks if he’d really want his sibling to have no father in his life.
She points out he’s never changed a diaper or made a meal. He claims he can learn that online.
Laura is skeptical that he can meet a baby’s emotional needs. He’s determined to do the opposite of whatever his father did.
She refuses to give up on her son and needs his help.
He hates saying no to her but she’s asking for too much. Nikolas has squandered all he was giving. Someone else will have to save him.
“It’s not Nikolas’ fault, it’s mine. I should have stayed on the island to raise him,” she says.
Outside of Kelly’s, Austin catches Mason telling someone on the phone he’s going to trail Ava. Austin grabs him and warns him not to threaten Ava.
Mason accuses him of wanting Ava and the doctor insists they are just friends.
In that case, Mason doesn’t think he should mind him paying her a visit.
They vaguely discuss their pasts. Mason thinks he’s boring and declares he’s had enough before stalking off.
Austin tries calling Ava but only gets voicemail.
Nikolas shows up at Wyndemere and accuses Ava of weaponizing his son against him. She tells him to begone but he insists they finish what they started.
Storming in, he tells her she can redecorate all she wants but she can’t erase what they had. He accuses her of using all that he did for her against him and reminds her that she and Spencer are enemies.
She thinks Spencer is right this time. She doesn’t care if he calls this “revenge” as long as it stops him from raising another child.
Ava throws his affair with Liz in his face. He explains that was all a lie.
That doesn’t make sense to her so he explains he had Esme locked in the tower and thought she was the hook killer. The nurse gave her basic medical care.
This ended up destroying his friendship with Liz. He was going to fly Esme to Cassadine Island, but she escaped.
Esme was a mistake and Liz was just a friend. “There was never anybody else but you,” he says.
When he asks why she let him think the worst of him, he says he didn’t want Liz to go to prison.
Ava says this doesn’t change anything between them. He was hoping they would find a way to repair the damage he’s caused and find a way back to each other.
Ava gets choked up.
He thinks they might have come back together if she hadn’t sided with Spencer against him. How could she be so heartless?
Given that her way has always been an eye for an eye, he’s going to remind her of what it is to lose. He threatens to take Avery from her.
The prince vows she will stay empty for the rest of her life. When he’s about to storm off and grab the kid, she clobbers him with a sculpture and he drops to the ground.
