General Hospital recap for Monday, August 22, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Nina refuses to attend the picnic, Ava agrees to move back into the castle, and Curtis and Portia discuss having kids.
We also have Friday’s GH recap where Kristina and Molly interrogated Sam about Dante, Liz accused Finn of not trusting her, and Austin introduced Maxie to Mason.
At the Quartemaine house, Olivia buzzes around the kitchen keeping things organized for the picnic in support of the children’s wing.
Dex shows up to deliver the raffle prize. Olivia asks him in for a snack. When he’s alone with Michael, he tells him they have an emergency. Their plan could be going down in flames.
Olivia, her son, and Leo discuss the kid’s play, and then she sends him off to see Sam. Then she chats with Brook Lynn about the situation and tells Leo about the power of the Sicilian thunderbolt to bring couples together.
When Dante and Brook Lynn are alone, they bicker and he asks if she is still using Chase to get back at Linc.
Michael and Dex go into the shed. Dex warns him that Sonny went through the roof when he discovered why he was discharged. This was all part of Michael’s plan.
Spencer meets Ava at Kelly’s. She immediately asks why he put himself on the line at the trial. He claims he had no angle other than trying to help Trina.
She tells him how hard he made things for Trina. Cassadine men always hurt people they care about. She demands some honesty.
He reminds her that she is the most deceitful person he knows. He only hopes his father doesn’t give in when she crawls back to him.
As she’s about to tell him about Esme and Nikolas, the prince pops up and urges her to keep her mouth shut. He reminds her his son is headed for prison and Esme is gone.
Ava cover by warning him about how dangerous prison is. After he stomps out, Ava makes it clear to Nikolas that she didn’t tell his son the truth because of his threats.
Nikolas reminds her that her only hope for staying out of prison is them acting like they have a happy marriage. She hates to admit it but sees his point.
She will move into the castle, but they will have separate lives. He insists she comes to the picnic. Maybe they will have fun?
Willow bumps into TJ at General Hospital. She admits she still hasn’t told Michael she has leukemia.
Jordan strolls in to see her son and Willow takes off to see Britt. The commissioner asks her son to lunch. She gets the sense he’s trying to get rid of her.
He admits that Marshall is coming in and he wants to keep her away from him because it might be upsetting for him to see her. She’s not sure that’s practical.
Willow meets with Britt. They discuss how she is coping. Britt says they can start chemo as soon as possible. Willow worries about harming or losing the baby.
Willow thinks the treatment has to wait a few weeks, but Britt warns that any delay could be dangerous. Having already lost one child, Willow refuses to risk losing another.
“Cancer doesn’t care,” says the doctor.
Willow is willing to take a risk. She’s always wanted to be a mom and Wiley is her greatest joy. If Britt doesn’t want kids, she can’t possibly understand.
Willow is determined to give her baby the best chance possible. Britt warns that she could still lose her baby. She admits she had a similar case a few years ago: the mother in a similar situation died but the baby survived.
There is no time to think this over.
Once she’s alone, Britt looks at a photo of Ben and wishes Lulu hadn’t given him such a stupid name.
Spencer shows up. He wants to apologize again and then fills her in on what he did for Trina.
Britt assures him they are good. She’s surprised when he tells her that Trina deserves to forget about him and be happy.

Kelly Thiebaud exits and the latest GH comings and goings
Curtis and Portia lounge in the pool and enjoy things being right with the world. He knows how much of a risk she took to wake up Oz. She thanks him for all his support.
She couldn’t have done it without him by her side. That’s where he wants to be for the rest of their lives. She likes the sound of that. He wants to talk about the future.
Before he can, his father shows up. He has a new gig at the Metro Court. They ask him to hang out for a minute.
Marshall is looking forward to celebrating Trina’s victory. She thanks him for encouraging her daughter to plead not guilty. Curtis wants them all to move forward.
Marshall talks about how his schizophrenia hung over him for so long. He was so afraid of hurting his family. They assure him they will always be there for him.
They discuss genetic counseling and Portia says that Curtis is already beyond the age of onset so he must be in the clear. Curtis only needs to be tested if he’s going to have children.
After Marshall leaves them alone, they discuss having kids. He wants them but other things first. Spotting something in the pool, he leaps in.
When he emerges, he has a ring in his hand.
Marshall strolls into General Hospital and TJ introduces him to Jordan. The doctor tries to keep the peace, but his mom sends him away.
She’s sure Marshall has some things to say to her. “You did not do right by my son, but then again neither did I,” he admits.
He’s in no position to judge what she did. He feels responsible for Tommy’s death.
Sonny is walking Nina through the park and breaks the news that he wants her to be his date to the picnic.
She makes it clear that she is not invited and suspects he’s bringing her to stick it to the Qs. He claims he doesn’t want to pick a fight.
She’s sure that would be inevitable. Wiley will be there and things will get ugly and it will be a public spectacle. It’s not her idea of a good time.
When Sonny is alone, Dex finds him. Sonny is not happy to see him since he lied to him by not telling him about his discharge.
Dex wonders if he still has a job. Sonny tells him he’s not fired yet. He needs to prove that he didn’t make a mistake.
Willow arrives at the Quartermaine house. Michael senses something is wrong. She asks him to sit down to talk.
