General Hospital recap for Wednesday, September 14, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Brando’s hooked by the serial killer and the paramedics almost lose him before he’s rushed to the hospital.
We also have Tuesday’s GH recap where Sonny threatened Nikolas, Jordan covered for Stella, and Liz reconsidered coming clean.
Carly’s stuck at the airport while Drew tries calling her. Back at that airport, the woman behind the desk tells Carly that there’s nothing they can do but wait for a flight.
Carly bitches to a woman who is busy doing crafts and assumes Carly’s trying to run away from someone or something. Carly tells her about her seminar in Aruba. The woman still thinks she’s running.
Carly coos over the woman’s rescue dog, Gretyl. Carly admits she grew up in Jacksonville.
The woman talks up the city and asks why she left. “Just looking for something else.” She says she thinks she found it and talks about her kids, friends and family.
She realizes she left her phone on the plane and asks the lady at the desk if she can get it.
The plane was moved so she’ll have to look in the lost and found. Carly scoffs.
The woman asks her to think of something that makes her smile instead of her phone. She flashes to kissing Drew.
Later, Carly learns the flight to Aruba is canceled. She has to stay overnight. The elder woman says, “Welcome home,” and chuckles.
Later, Sam brings Scout to see her dad.
They talk about Carly going to Aruba and Sam teases him about her.
Drew thinks she has other things to do. Sam admits she and Dante are happy. He’s glad.
They hug and Scout asks why. Sam calls them family and friends. Drew flashes to kissing Carly as Sam teases him again about Carly.
Drew realizes Carly hasn’t said anything about them but Sam thinks they have a connection.
Drew hopes it’s not an issue for Sam but Sam denies that it is.
Since Jason’s been gone, she and Carly have gravitated toward each other. Scout pulls her away and Drew calls Carly again. He leaves a message.

Kelly Thiebaud exits and the latest GH comings and goings
At her office, Jordan calls to find out how to confirm the DNA match. Dante appears and they discuss the instrument that the person stabbed Ava with. Dante tells her that one hook meant for fishing was missing from the Q’s boathouse.
Jordan admits that Ava was stabbed with a hook that had a barbed head. She was speared with a hook!
They wonder why the attempted killer used the hook and decide to go over all statements. Jordan offers to do it himself since he has unpacking to do. She one day wants to talk to him about a case of mistaken identity.
“Or maybe it’s not a mistake at all.” She gets a call about some crime with a hook and Dante follows her to the crime scene.
At General Hospital, Portia asks if Curtis should talk to Jordan again. Their lawyers have copies and the judge can make the divorce official. Curtis knows but asks why Jordan would deliberately lose the paperwork.
Portia thinks accidents happen but he doesn’t believe that.
Portia thinks it’s because she doesn’t want a divorce. Later, TJ talks to Curtis about his mom not risking getting out there after they were divorced.
TJ’s confused. Why is he asking him about Jordan’s love life?
In Ava’s room, Nikolas thinks Ava believes that he didn’t stab her.
She believes he concocted an alibi but was it meant to save his skin or protect Liz?
Liz can neither incriminate or exonerate him. She thinks he’d hire someone to do it just like with Hayden Barnes.
Nik says the difference is, that he never loved Hayden. If he was going to kill Ava, he’d do it with his bare hands.
He thinks they were made for each other. Ava says they can’t be together because she doesn’t want to want him. “So, you still want me?”
She says of course she does. It hurts her more that he slept with Esme than being hooked. He owns being a cad, rat, and liar but asks if she’d believe him if he tried to tell her he was a hero on a white horse.
That almost makes her trust him. He moves to kiss her but she backs away.
At Charlie’s Place, Sonny tells Sasha that she can rely on Brando. She knows.
Outside, it’s raining when Brando sees the serial killer in a raincoat with a hook.
They stab him and he screams and drops to his knees.
The killer stabs him again.
Sasha appears and starts screaming.
The killer has disappeared and inside, everyone hears the screeching and comes out to see what is going on.
Gladys and Sasha scream some more and someone calls 911.
The ambulance arrives moments later as Sonny hangs on to Kristina and Sasha leans over Brando, sobbing as she tells him it’ll be okay.
Suddenly, the rain stops.
Brando can barely breathe and the women are shooed away while the paramedics work on him.
Sonny tells Kristina she did a good job and to tell him what happened.
She lets him know she saw someone swinging something at Brando.
She couldn’t tell who or what it was because of the rain. She sobs and says she saw the hook flash before… she breaks down in sobs.
The paramedic says, “We’re losing him,” and Gladys and Sasha clutch at each other and sob.
They leave for the hospital. Kristina and Sonny stay behind to answer questions of the police. Dante and Jordan arrive and they don’t answer any questions but take off.
At GH, Portia and TJ work on Brando.
TJ needs to decompress his lung.
Outside, Curtis promises to Gladys and Sasha that Brando’s in good hands.
They watch from the window as Sasha says Brando can’t die. “He just can’t.” Gladys prays with her rosary and cries. Later, he’s rushed to surgery.
Sonny finds Nikolas in Ava’s room. He knows Nik didn’t try to kill Ava.
