General Hospital recap for Wednesday, February 23, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Peter dies with Anna at his side, while Chase and Brook Lynn kiss.
We also have Monday’s GH recap where Peter fell down an embankment and Carly and Sonny argued about their divorce settlement.
Peter lies in the snow, eyes closed, as Maxie and Felicia try to figure out of he is dead. Drew and Anna appear. Drew notes that he’s alive. If he doesn’t get medical attention, he’ll die.
Peter begs Maxie to let him talk. He tells her he can’t feel his legs. She yells that he’s looking for her sympathy after all he’s done to her, and everyone else.
Jason died because o him and now it’s your turn! Drew agrees with Maxie and thinks it’s fitting that he spend the rest of his life in a cell.
He did this to himself. Nobody cares about him now. Anna calls paramedics who are on their way. Drew and Anna make their way to the road to wait for them.
Peter cries that he’s scared but Maxie leaves him there in the snow, alone. Anna hangs back and Peter keeps his babbling up. He calls her soft-hearted for sticking around.
She tries to find the good in people. She calls him like his father, obsessed and entitled. Anna reveals she didn’t call the ambulance.
She did call WSB to tell them that he was apprehended and that the location was not secure. “Killer in the end, Anna?” He asks. “Depends on your perspective,” she says.
She says that nobody deserves to die alone, not even him. She hopes he finds peace. He holds his hand out and she grasps it. He cries and she says it’s okay.
He gasps a few last breaths and dies. Anna checks his pulse and closes his eyes for him. She leaves him, crying as she heads to the road.
At the hospital, Austin feels guilty about Maxie. Brook Lynn and Chase walk up and she questions him. Austin reminds her she’s not one to talk. Britt steps in and tells them to can it.
In his room, Mac calls Felicia who ignores his call. Brook Lynn and Chase bring the kid to Mac and they say they’re trying to call her Louise once in a while but she already responded to Bailey.
They get a call from Felicia who is at the car with Drew and Maxie.
Felicia tells Mac that she found Maxie. She puts her on the phone and Maxie fills them in on what happened and how Peter might not make it.

Soaps Opinion: Bad boys of soaps or sad boys?
At Charlie’s Pub, Sonny gets some scotch. He talks to Brando about having a bad day but he is loathe to discuss it since he and Sasha have so much going on. Brando admits he’s hopeful they have a future together.
They toast to that. Sonny thinks he should put on the pressure to be together but Brando doesn’t want to push her. Still, Sonny thinks he should take her somewhere romantic like Niagara Falls.
Brando likes the sound of it but she may not be feeling romantic. He leaves and Sonny stares at Carly’s phone number before ordering another drink.
Lucy stops Nina outside Kelly’s. She fans herself from the heatwave.
They talk about not moving ahead with the IPO until Maxie is found. Nina worries that Sasha will drown herself in work over losing Liam.
Inside, Sasha is approached by a woman with blue hair who offers to sell her something. Sasha doesn’t do that anymore and the woman wanders away.
Nina and Lucy head inside and get to work with Sasha. Lucy goes to take a call from Marty and Sasha talks about her talk with Brando. She doesn’t want to lose him. Brando appears and Lucy and Nina take off to give them space. Sasha’s happy to see him.
He’s glad and asks her to run away with him. He misses her and wants to reconnect. She’d like that. Brando’s psyched.
He walks her outside as they talk about their Niagara Falls trip and when he leaves, she heads back inside and tells the blue-haired gal that she definitely needs something to help get her through the next few days.
Back in Switzerland, Felicia says she had the wind knocked out of her from the airbag and she tells Drew how she came to save Maxie’s life.
Anna walks up. They tell her the ambulance didn’t show up yet. Anna tells Maxie that Peter is dead. She admits to Felicia later, that she never called the ambulance.
Felicia thinks it was the right thing to do. Anna calls it necessary.
Back at the hospital, Chase tells everyone that they got word that Peter is dead. Obrecht smiles. It’s cause for a celebration. They run to get some booze while nearby, Robert talks to Anna who admits she was with Peter at the end.
She has to call Valentin to break the news. He disconnects and Obrecht shows up. She offers him wine to join her celebration. He reluctantly takes a cup. Elsewhere, Austin asks if Britt is okay.
She’s relieved in knowing her father’s demented bloodline dies with Peter. “No kids for you, huh?” In another area, Chase gets Brook Lynn some chips. They share them and he admits it’s nice seeing her this happy.
She’s thrilled. It’ll be hard not to see Bailey daily but it’s right. Chase calls her incredible. They kiss and Brook Lynn drops the chips. After the kiss, they agree it was good and she cleans up the chips.
Loaded, Sonny calls Nina and leaves a message. He tells her it’s Sonny or Mike. Sonny’s not doing too well. He tells her he’s at Charlie’s and asks where she is. He needed to talk to somebody and they had nice talks.
He disconnects, not sure of what he’s doing. Johnny offers to get him home but he’s fine. He takes his keys out and thinks he can drive. Nina strolls in and he smiles.
