What’s ahead this sweeps on Days of our Lives?
Head Writer, Ron Carlivati previews what’s going down with all of the Salem residents of Days of our Lives in February Sweeps 2023 with Soap Opera Digest.
Afterlife headaches
They may be dead, but things are far from over for Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), Marlena (Deidre Hall), and Kate (Lauren Koslow).
Their trip out of Salem and into the afterworld will include them bumping into a few familiar faces from their pasts, including some people they would rather they never saw again.
Revenge delayed
Back in the land of the living, Steve (Stephen Nichols) is determined to see Orpheus (George DelHoyo) dead.
John (Drake Hogestyn) is a little more skeptical about this but his old friend soon talks him around. However, Roman (Josh Taylor) remains a holdout and could undermine their plans to get vengeance for their loved ones.
Allie’s wandering affections
Chanel (Raven Bowens) may have chosen her over Johnny (Carson Boatman), but Allie (Lindsay Arnold) continues having to face the jealousy that she feels for their clear bond.
That they keep spending time together only makes it harder for her.
Luckily for her, she has Alex to complicate things even further.
She tells him all about her feelings and can’t help from feeling attracted to him.
Alex won’t give up
Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) may be getting pulled back into their romantic square, but he’s already part of a triangle or wants to be.
Chad (Billy Flynn) and Stephanie (Abigail Klein) keep getting closer, but Alex is still holding a torch for her and looking for a way to get between them.
Could Chad’s lingering grief for Abigail (Marci Miller) sour things?
Another triangle
On the other side of the square, Johnny is mixed up in a triangle too.
His relationship with Wendy (Victoria Grace) gets awkward when it becomes clear how much Tripp (Lucas Adams) is into her too.
Now that Joey has backed away from her, the only thing standing in his brother’s way is Johnny.

Dirty laundry
Now that Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) is divorcing Xander (Paul Telfer), he’s been cut off from her positive influence and starts turning to his devious ways as readily as he takes off his shirt.
Gwen (Emily O’Brien) pulls him into her scheme to swipe The Spectator away from Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer (Cady McClain).
Perhaps the most devious thing they do, however, will be making Leo (Greg Rikaart) the resident gossip columnist and he wastes no time airing the dirty laundry of Salem.
Ranking romance
Jada’s (Elia Cantu) family expands as her little sister Talia (Aketra Sevillian) comes to town.
Something is off with her given that she goes to work at the bakery even though she’s got a degree in medicine.
As Jada gets used to having her around, she has to face an added difficulty in her burgeoning relationship with Rafe (Galen Gering) when a new policy forbids romantic involvement between the ranks.
Hopeful divorce
Stefan (Brandon Barash) and EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) continue their feud at DiMera, but their attempts to outdo each other quickly start to get dangerous.
And Gabi (Camila Banus) wants to finalize her divorce from Li (Remington Hoffman), but he’s not totally ready to give up on her so he tries to play the divorce to his advantage.
Nicole, this is your life
Eric (Greg Vaghan) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) take a walk down memory lane to mark Arianne Zucker’s 25th anniversary with the soap.
