Soaps Spoilers has the preview for Days of our Lives this April. We’ve got some romance coming at us, some heartache, threats, and a killer twist.
New bad girl
Chanel (Precious Way) arrives in Salem. She’s Aunt Paulina’s (Jackée Harry) daughter, a free spirit who has had absolutely no troubles spending her mother’s money. Not anymore. It looks like Paulina’s cutting her off, which will mean Chanel will act out in some outrageous and fun ways, according to an interview with Days scribe Ron Carlivati, who goes on to preview April. While Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) are stuck in the middle, Paulina starts making her way toward Abe (James Reynolds), and the two get involved not only in business but romance.
Unlucky in love
Ciara (Victoria Konefal) learns she married Ben (Robert Scott Wilson), the Necktie Killer, and questions why her family would let her do that. Will she be able to look beyond this and see that Ben is mentally ill and now on medication? Don’t expect Ben to give up on Ciara, but as Ben tries to get back on good terms with his wife, Theo’s (Cameron Johnson) return complicates things for the once happy couple since her feelings and Theo’s grow for each other, something Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) notices. She’ll try to protect Ben and Ciara’s marriage.
More heartache and this time it’s for Xander (Paul Telfer), who goes on a bender, spiraling out of control with booze as he copes with Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) leaving him. As he drowns his sorrows in a bottle, he’ll also drown them in a woman.

Blackmail
Brady (Eric Martsolf) finally does learn that Chloe’s (Nadia Bjorlin) feelings for her ex have returned. Brady still cares about Chloe, but will he wait for Kristen or cheat? While Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) keeps up her Susan disguise, she once again lets her secret get out when Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) and Sami (Alison Sweeney) figure it out. At the same time, Kristen knows one of their secrets and will use it against them to not only keep her secret but help her get in between Chloe and Brady.
Nicole’s marriage threatened
With Eric (Greg Vaughan) staying yet another three months in the Congo, Nicole is feeling the pain of missing her husband even more and is pushed to make a decision that will jeopardize her marriage. Could this have something to do with her recent closeness with Rafe (Galen Gering)? While that’s all happening, Rafe and Ava (Tamara Braun) are getting closer together, causing Nicole some jealousy.
As we’ve already seen, Allie (Lindsay Arnold) and Tripp (Lucas Adams) are bonding but look for Tripp to get a little competition before he is able to tell Allie how he feels about her.
DiMera/Deveraux trouble
Meanwhile, over at the DiMera mansion, Gabi (Camila Banus) has a new plan to use Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) to make Jake (Brandon Barash) and Kate (Lauren Koslow) a little crazy, while Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Chad (Billy Flynn) devise a plan to stop Gwen (Emily O’Brien) and Abigail (Marci Miller) from going at each other’s throats. They think progress is made but Abigail’s not really on board as we can already see in yesterday’s Days episode.
Killer twist
Charlie’s (Mike Manning) killer is finally exposed in the spring with Rafe on the job with still more twists and turns to come as suspects are narrowed down.
