On today’s full episode recap of Days of our Lives, Abigail slaps Gwen across the face after hearing what went on the night she “slept with” Chad, Kate calls Gwen names, and Raynor tells the person who she kidnapped the babies for that she’s ashamed.
At the pub, Justin calls Eli with news that Bonnie came across the black woman with twins. He thinks it’s the woman who kidnapped the babies. Eli asks to meet him down at the police station. Bonnie worries she might be wrong but Justin finds it a hell of a coincidence. Val pops up and asks what’s going on. Justin lets her know about Bonnie seeing the twins and they all rush to SPD.
At her apartment, Dr. Raynor opens the door to Ivan Marsais, who trusts the babies are healthy and safe. He sees for himself and Raynor says she’s not proud of what she’s done. Ivan admits he chose her because of her experience working at University Hospital. Raynor says it was a huge risk returning. He trusts she was discrete. Raynor admits one nurse recognized her. She asks if they’re done. Being in this state is pressing it. Raynor feels bad for the mother, who lost a child a few years ago. She’s ashamed of what she did to Sarah and Kristen. She yells at Ivan for blackmailing her. He’s merely righting a wrong. He gives her stacks of money as payment and she asks if he’ll sell the babies. He says no, he procured them for someone else. He takes them away and calls Vivian. “It’s me Madame and I am on my way home.”
At the square, Kate urges Chad to tell Abigail the truth about his night with Chad or lose his marriage. How does he do that? She says suck it up and beg for forgiveness. “I’m such an idiot,” he says. Kate agrees but everyone screws up. Abby needs to learn the truth from him, “Not from the Nanny From Hell, Gwen.” Chad agrees.
At the mansion, Gwen tells Abs that she slept with Chad. Abigail wonders why she should believe her. Gwen says, “That first kiss…He was so hungry.” Abby tells her to stop it. Gwen says when she gives her the graphic details of what happened, Abigail will believe her. Gwen drags things on by drinking some scotch and tells Abby how she overheard Jack and Kate talking about their one-nighter, and then blames Abby for reading the letter and humiliating her parents. Abigail can’t take it anymore and yells for Gwen to get out. Gwen asks if she doesn’t want to know what happened between her and Chad. Gwen tells her to be more careful about her financial information. She admits to booking the room and how Chad was crushed, seeing the flower petals on the bed and the champagne. Gwen touches her lips in memory as she explains how Chad kissed her. She says sex with Chad was deeply passionate, “incredibly mind-blowing. Your husband is a very talented lover.” Abigail tears up and hauls off and slaps her across the face as Chad walks in. He should have told her but he didn’t want to hurt her, he admits. He let her stay because she blackmailed him. Abigail kicks Gwen out. Gwen says she’s on her way “but it’s a shame to miss the offshoot, the tears, the apologizing, the regret, the begging somebody’s going to have to do.” Chad threatens to throw her out himself. “No need.” Gwen thinks one day Abigail will thank her. She goes and Chad asks if Gwen told her everything. “She did.” Chad says the idea of her and Jake together…he got drunk and wanted to hurt her the way she hurt him. Abigail didn’t hurt him. He knows. He’s sorry. He cries as he repeats how sorry and ashamed he is. Abs says he should have believed in her. They’ve been here before. Chad says they can get past this.
At SPD, Justin tells Bonnie they’ll get the sketch artist to draw the woman she saw. Eli and Lani arrive and Val clues them into what’s going on. Eli learns that their twins were the only black twins born nearby. The odds are that this woman is their baby-napper. In the interrogation room, Bonnie describes Dr. Raynor and the sketch artist doesn’t get it right, so they try again. Bonnie feels bad. She paid more attention to the babies, not the woman. When the sketch is done, it looks like Val. Eli asks if she has anything to confess. Val sighs. Lani brings the sketch back to Bonnie, who says all black people don’t look alike to her. But she couldn’t help but focus on Val. Lani begs her to remember more. Bonnie’s stressed and wants to but she focused on the babies.
Abe and Kate hang out at the square, looking at photos of Jules and Carver. Kate finds them precious. Abe didn’t know Lani existed until she showed up in his life. He didn’t get to show baby photos and puff up his chest. Kate calls him a great father. Abe missed out on so much of her growing up. Kate offers to listen if he needs to talk. He goes and Gwen appears. Kate lets her know that she heard “what a truly disgusting and wretched creature you are.” Gwen says it’s too late. Their marriage is imploding as they speak. Kate calls her sadistic and asks what she has against Abby and her family.
Abe arrives at SPD. Bonnie helped the artist with another sketch. Lani says she is familiar. Val realizes she knows her. They look online and finds Dr. Raynor, realizing she used to work at the hospital.
