In the Tuesday, June 8, 2020, full episode recap of Days of our Lives, Lani’s jealousy returns, Paulina is not supportive of her kid, and Allie talks about the rape to Marlena. In case you missed out, in Monday’s Days episode, Nicole faked proof that she didn’t sleep with Xander.
Paulina sets down her plans for the Horton square at her new apartment. She mutters that her place will have to do though it has no palm trees. She flashes to lying to Abe about her intentions with the square and tells herself it’s business.
At the square, Abe and Lani discuss the changes to the town square. Chanel was supposed to meet but she was too tired. Abe senses tension. Lani wants her to get her own place. “She has overstayed her welcome,” Abe says. Lani says it’s hard to find a moment of peace.

At home, Eli enjoys the silence as he gets coffee in a towel in the kitchen. When he can’t find a dish towel, he uses his own towel. Chanel walks in and says, “Mmmm look who is up early?” She grins and Eli looks put out. He thought she was at lunch. She laughs and tells him to chill out. She overslept because she was working on her collection of ideas for her new business. Eli puts on pants and looks through her collection. He’s excited for her but reminds her a lot of small businesses fail. She needs capital and he asks if her mama is helping. She has no idea but doesn’t want her involvement. Eli understands. She doesn’t want her mother’s disappointment. When he learns she’s going to work with her friend from London, Eli says, “The one you kissed?” Chanel says that has nothing to do with anything and Eli suggests she tread softly. When Lani arrives and sees her husband sitting beside Chanel, she becomes jealous and throws her keys down hard as she sits between them. Lani shoots Chanel a dirty look.

Gwen tries to sneak out of the house but Xander wakes up and asks where she’s off to. He wants to discuss the blackmail and when she refuses, he grabs her bag and takes out the drugs. He demands she spill her secrets. She threatens. She has juicy information on him. She pulls off his throw and threatens to tell Julie he was wearing it. Xander shrugs. She’s seen him do it before. Gwen talks about him proudly showing off his “bits and pieces” but she thinks Julie will be disgusted. Gwen grabs the drugs and makes a run for it. Xander vaults over the sofa after her.
Allie sees Tripp at the hospital. He invites her for dinner later and she pulls a face and tells him to call her. She goes and he tells Tripp that he thinks Allie’s interested in someone else. He says he was kissing Allie when she had a memory of the rape. He was angry with his brother for raping her and making her feel this way. Since Kayla’s been through this, he asks her advice. Kayla thinks Allie needs to have space to have her own feelings. Dr. Snyder interrupts and admonishes Tripp for an extended coffee break. Tripp says he’s not following the other doctor for a half hour. Snyder goes and Kayla doesn’t like the way the doctor treats him. Tripp was more concerned with how he treated his cousin Gwen. He reveals the doc seemed to be threatening her. Kayla looks upset. In her office, Marlena talks on the phone to Belle about Claire. She disconnects and Allie strolls in. She was visiting Grandma Kate. Marlena tells her that Belle just said Claire’s doing well and she heard Jan Spears killed Charlie. Allie worries she can’t put the rape behind her. The memories appear out of nowhere. She wants to know how to make it stop. She admits she and Tripp are getting closer and when they kissed, she had the flash of Charlie. Allie felt comfortable and safe with Charlie and still, the memory came to her vividly. It was upsetting. Marlena asks if it’s the first time she’s tried something physical with another person. Allie flashes to kissing Chanel and admits it to Marlena. Marlena’s supportive. Allie says she’s just a friend and they may work together. Talk turns back to her flashbacks of rape and Marlena advises her to take things slowly as she’d like and tell Tripp how she feels. Does she trust Tripp enough to do that? Allie shrugs.

Abe brings the twins over to Paulina’s and talks about sending Chanel’s business proposal to the city council. Paulina becomes worried and doesn’t think it’s a good idea. Paulina worries Chanel won’t commit to this. She’s never lived in one place for more than six months. She dropped every hobby she’s ever tried and went to three prep schools. Paulina worries she’ll quit the way she always does. Abe is supportive of Chanel, but Paulina reminds him of “that low-life loser” she married and how they tried to extort money from her. Paulina hates to see her fail but Abe says that’s what they do as parents. They get up smarter and more determined. He reminds her that they’re believing in people who otherwise might be ignored or overlooked. “We can help them shine. Believe in your daughter, Paulina. She can shine.” Paulina nods. She’ll let Chanel do this. She thanks him for helping her to see this. Abe goes to care for the twins and Paulina tells herself she’ll have to find a way to get her daughter to forgive her, afterward. She sets her alarm and they take a walk with the twins.
Back at Alice’s, Xander asks to help Gwen but she can’t allow it. He goes and Snyder calls to threaten Gwen. Snyder appears concerned that the envelope was overdue. Gwen becomes fretful and vows she’ll deliver it. He threatens to tell “Daddy” about her lies if she doesn’t. Xander overhears the conversation.
In the square, Abe and Paulina share a tender moment.
Chanel lets herself into Paulina’s apartment and when she realizes she’s alone, she looks at Paulina’s proposal for the town square.
Kayla arrives at Alice’s to talk to Gwen about Dr. Snyder.
Xander goes to see Dr. Snyder as a patient and introduces himself as Xander Cook.
