Jan Kidnaps Claire, and Jordan Appears to Ben as his Conscience

In the Monday, May 245, 2020, full episode recap of  Days of our Lives, Ben and Claire decide to forget about their kiss, Chad says goodbye to Abby, and Gwen’s blackmailed.

Ben arrives home and drops his divorce papers on the floor. “It’s you.” Jordan says, “In the flesh.” She calls him crazy and tells him she’s his guilty conscience. “Why are you cheating on your wife?” He tells her he didn’t make out with Claire. “It didn’t mean anything.” Then he tells her Claire kissed him. Jordan laughs. “You really use your suffering like some menus cologne. I mean, it sounds like a real panty-dropper.” Jordan asks what he thought Ciara was doing when she left Salem. “She doesn’t remember,” he says, anguished. Jordan yells that she remembers that he’s a serial killer. Jordan told her that Ciara would run from him, and now he went to find comfort in the “one person who set her on fire a couple of times.” Jordan asks if he has feelings for Claire. “I don’t.” Jordan urges him to sign the papers.

At Alice’s, Gwen is shocked to realize she’s a drug mule. Chad pops up and she lies that her doctor gave her painkillers. He hopes the pain eases up. She assures the physical part will, at least. Chad told Jack he’d check in on her. She urges him to go home to Abigail. She’s sure that she’s not happy with her. Chad admits she’s gone. Gwen’s sorry. She admits she lied about Abby throwing her down the stairs. He knows. Jack told him. Gwen’s sorry if she’s the reason Abby left. Chad clarifies that Abby’s upset with herself for how she felt about the baby and for how she treated Gwen. “Well, she was terribly upset at the time.” Gwen thought she could redeem herself by being a good mother and admits she has never been happier than when she was pregnant. Chad regrets his part in all of this and is sorry she lost the baby. Gwen becomes emotional thinking about what she’s lost. Chad understands. “She was my child too.” Gwen insists she’ll be fine and so Chad tells her to call if she needs anything. She flashes to Snyder making her a drug mule then calls him and complains that she won’t break the law for him. He reminds her of what he knows.

Steve gets cookies and tea for Kayla at home. She’s been so busy with work and he asks how long it’s been since they’ve had time alone. She can’t recall. They lean in for a kiss and are interrupted by Tripp. They thought he was at the hospital. He was but Dr. Snyder got in the way. Kayla’s immediately on edge. He intubated his first patient and when he didn’t do it properly, Snyder sent him home. Kayla says he’s not expected to know how to intubate on his first or second try. She’ll talk to him. Tripp appreciates it but he doesn’t want her to run to his rescue. Steve has heard her talk about Snyder before and suggests she fire him. She needs to documents issues. He’ll claim he’s doing what’s best for the student. “What he’s really doing is robbing them of their confidence.” Kayla can’t just snap her fingers and make him disappear. Steve says she’s been having trouble with this guy for years. Once Tripp’s gone, Kayla continues to rant about Snyder to Steve. “I wanna intubate him myself with a fire hose.”

At the hospital, Dr. Snyder tells Belle that he gave Jan a piece of his mind about faking the coma. Belle’s shocked. He admits that Jan knows that she and Shawn found out about her coming out of the coma. “Oh my God she knows,” says getting out her cell phone. Shawn doesn’t pick up.

Jan holds a gun to Claire’s head as she tells Shawn on a call she has some business to attend to before she comes. They disconnect and Jan blames Shawn for this. She tells Claire about the setup. Claire’s confused so Jan confesses she woke up a couple of weeks before April 1. And she murdered Charlie Dale. She flashes to watching from the window as Shawn giving Belle the coat for Valentine’s Day and when she returned, she saw Charlie attacking Claire. “Then your mother showed up.” Claire’s rocked. Jan recalls grabbing Belle’s coat and going to Charlie’s. She grabbed one of his knives and was prepared to stab him in his sleep but she found a gun already there. Jan revealed herself to Charlie and told him that what he did to Claire was no way to treat a lady. She tells him this is for everyone who has been a victim to him. She shot him. “He went down like a sack of potatoes.” She heard something outside and realized it was John. Claire knows that he thought Jan was Belle. Jan hiding Charlie’s room while Tripp came to the door. Charlie was still alive and called out Tripp’s name softly. She was about to put him out of his misery when she decided to let him bleed out. She pulled off the button on the coat and tossed it, then put the coat back where she got it. Claire fakes a coughing fit and needing a glass of water.

Belle pounds on the door at Salem Inn. Shawn is shocked to see Belle. Jan’s not coming! They discuss what happened with Snyder and worry that Jan’s after Claire. They rush out.

At Ben’s, he sees Claire’s call come in. Jordan tells him, “She probably wants you to come over and finish what you started. Bow chick a wow wow,” she sings. He decides not to pick up. Back at the house, Jan gets water for Claire from a nearby bottle. Back at Ben’s, he refuses to sign the papers. Jordan tells him to check his voicemail and then disappears. Ben checks and hears Claire telling Jan to put the gun away and let her go. He runs to her house. Claire’s gone.
