In the Thursday, June 3, 2020, full episode recap of Days of our Lives, Chanel has a plan, Lani calls Chanel out on objectifying her husband, and Philip worries about Chloe. In case you missed out, in Wednesday’s episode, Belle wound up in Statesville.
At home, Chanel has created a new cookie called Sweet Things. Lani heard she saw Eli naked. Chanel talks about how hot he was in detail. She got full frontal and back. Lani accuses her of objectifying and asks if she’d like if people did that to her. Chanel likes it but won’t talk about Eli that way anymore. She shows Lani an application to open a business in the square. She wants to open a bakery. “Sweet Bits.” Lani is supportive and Chanel’s proud to become an independent woman, though she’s scared stiff. Chanel says her mother has never screwed anything up and she worries she will. Chanel takes her cookies and the application to Abe.
At SPD, Philip tells Eli about Belle changing her plea to guilty and that they’re hoping to bargain with Jan. He talks about Jan taking Chloe and how he lost Chloe for good. He never got a chance to tell Chloe how he feels and it might be too late. Eli asks him not to give up. They’ll find her.

At Statesville, on a call, Jan tells Shawn that she couldn’t keep her end of the bargain. She knows with Belle in prison, he could never truly love her. Unfortunately, there will be collateral damage. Shawn offers to divorce Belle but Jan knows he’s trying to get her to confess to a murder she didn’t commit. She finally has gotten the message that he doesn’t want her and he never will. That’s why Claire will pay. She reveals she left Claire alive in the cabin, but she won’t be by the time he gets there. She disconnects and Chloe cries a little and worries about what Jan will do to her. Shawn runs off.
Claire sobs at the cabin, looking at the oil lantern perched precariously atop a stool in front of the door. She’s tied up as Ben lets himself in. The oil lantern falls and fire spreads through the cabin. Ben grabs a blanket and starts waving it around, which fans the flames. Eventually, the fire is out and Ben reaches Claire, who shares what Jan did. He has no signal on his phone and says he just came to clear his head and wound up there. She insists she’s fine but he says he could have killed her. He admits he’s been seeing Jordan. He explains how she’s his guilty conscience. Claire blames herself for the kiss. Being on the other side of the flames has made her not blame Ciara for hating her. Ben hands over her locket that he found. She misses Ciara. Ben holds her hand. He knows. Shawn appears and hugs his kid. Claire cries and they explain the booby trap. Shawn’s angry when he realizes Jan wanted him to be the one to burn his own child. Ben wants to stay behind but Shawn says it’s a crime scene. Since Claire reminds him that he saved her life, Shawn lets him stay. Ben looks at divorce papers, and is about to sign when he decides not to.
At the Horton town square, Abe finds Paulina. She’s giving herself a pep talk and says she got her affairs in order. The square is her only priority and she hopes Tom and Alice approve. Abe’s sure they would. They were wonderful people who believed in change, progress and diversity. Paulina looks as though she feels guity. Abe wants to give them the first year rent for free, but Paulina is shocked. She doesn’t want that. The city will pay and she’ll still get her money. She would have liked to know this in advance. Abe says she should have been more above board about what she was going to do. She seems offended and doesn’t like that he was on to her. She still wants to make it work together. “What a classy way of saying ‘we’re stuck with each other’,” Abe says with a laugh. Chanel arrives and Paulina goes off on her daughter, asking if she’s gotten a job. Chanel was surprised to see her mom and tells her how sorry she is. Paulina’s skeptical. For blackmailing her, amongst other things? Chanel asks to do this in private. Abe will be in his office if Chanel wants to talk. Paulina stops him and apologizes for embarrassing her daughter. They smile at each other and Chanel hands over her business proposal and submits her cookies. “Unless they’re considered a bribe.” He eats one and Paulina looks concerned.

Chloe and Jan wind up at the Salem Airfield. Chloe asks questions and Jan tells her to shut it. She gives her a candy bar and knows who her knight in shining armor will be. She calls Philip as Eli leaves the room. PhillyK asks how Chloe and Claire are. Jan has little time on her burner phone and tells him he can save Chloe’s life. Jan refuses to go to prison for accidentally kidnapping Chloe Lane of all people. She asks for a suitcase full of money, a pilot for the Kiriakis plane and “a lot of gummy bears for the flight.” She asks for no cops. “Not if you want to see the stupid cow again.” Eli returns and Philip has to go. He dashes off. Later, Philip has the jet ready to go and the pilot will take her wherever she likes. He urges her to let go of Chloe and he’ll give her the suitcase. Chloe tries to grab the gun and the women struggle and the gun goes off.
Shawn brings Claire to Statesville for a mother and daughter reunion. The women cry as they embrace.
