Wednesday, April 28, 2020: On today’s full episode recap of Days of our Lives, in Days Wednesday recap – Ciara leaves Salem. In today’s episode, Gwen tells Jack she’s pregnant and keeping the kid, Abigail wants Gabi’s help, and Jake can’t find Kate.
At Alice’s, Steve is sorry that Jack still doesn’t know that Gwen is pregnant. Gwen shows up. “Dad, are you here?” She says the door was open and is sorry to barge in. Jack introduces them. Steve remembers her from Jack and Jennifer’s anniversary party. “You’re my Uncle Steve,” she says. Steve’s not ready to be the doting type. He goes and Gwen reveals she’s pregnant and keeping Chad’s baby. Jack tells her it’ll mean they’ll have a difficult relationship. Gwen swears she isn’t doing it to hurt anyone. She explains why she’s keeping it, citing how things went down with her ultrasound. Jack’s glad for her but worries about Abby. Gwen tells her Chad knows and Abby’s in too much pain to listen. Jack can’t blame her. Gwen doesn’t. It’s her fault. She’ll make this easy by leaving Salem. She doesn’t want her baby to grow up with a step-mother who wishes they didn’t exist. Creating distance is for the best. She’ll go to South Philly. Jack can’t let her go. He convinces her to stay. Gwen tears up. Later, Jack calls Jennifer to tell her he’s moving his kid into the house. She’s shocked and worried about how Abby will take this.
At the mansion, Abigail looks over several texts that Jack has sent her. She ignores them and when Chad tells her they need to leave for their therapy, she tells him to go himself. She’s done with that. Upstairs, Jake calls Allie to see if she’s heard from Kate. She hasn’t, and the baby cries, so she disconnects. She notices her kid is burning up. Meanwhile, Kate’s tied up in the wine cellar downstairs. Kristen shows up and removes the gag from her mouth. She assures that Kate’s still going on her beach vacation but she’ll be traveling alone. She notices Jake’s been texting her. “Maybe you remind him of his dear old mother.” Kristen texts him back to tell him something came up. Kate offers to dump Jake if she’ll only let her go. Kristen smirks. Back upstairs, Jake finds Chad in the lounge and asks if he’s seen Kate. She sent him a text saying that something came up but he can’t find her. Chad hasn’t heard from Kate and has so much else to worry about. Jake learns Gwen’s pregnant with his kid. “Oh crap.” Jake says. He’s sorry but it’s Chad’s doing. Chad knows and it’ll cost him his marriage. Jake knows his marriage can withstand a lot. He takes off to find Kate.

At Titan, Philip tells Gabi he has confidence in some business deal. Things are awkward and Philip knows there’s something between them but she’s not over her ex. Abigail bursts in, wanting to take Gabi to lunch. Gabi tries to get out of it and Abby drags her off.
Kayla and Tripp discuss Chief Resident Synder before Allie and Henry show up. Allie explains to the doctors that he has a 103 fever. Tripp examines the kid and thinks he has an ear infection. Kayla agrees and they tell Allie how to deal with it. Allie flirts with Dr. Johnson as he diagnoses and they grin at each other wildly. Later, Steve turns up and Kayla sings his son’s praises, while Allie and Tripp stick around in the room and Tripp explains that he’s taken his dad’s surname. Tripp shares a secret that he was just as afraid as she was when he examined Henry. He doesn’t want to see him sick or in pain.
At Julie’s Place, Abigail needs Gabi’s help again. Gwen’s pregnant. Gabi’s shocked. Abigail doesn’t know how to move on from this. Gabi hasn’t a clue either. If she did she’d be able to move on from Jake. Abby thought she and Philip were interested in each other. Gabi says they are but she’s lost her killer instinct and when they got in bed, she couldn’t go through with it. Gabi reminds Abby that she has a perfect life. She should just deal with everything. Abby knows that’s easier said than done. Gabi should get over Jake. Gabi’s finally facing reality. She’ll fix her broken heart and move on. Gwen gets a call from Chad and ignores it so Gabi answers it. She forces Abby to take the call. Abby apologizes for running out on him.

Back in the cellar, Kristen shows Kate a Kate mask. She’ll go and break up with Jake on Kate’s behalf and then “leave Salem never to be seen again.” Kristen doesn’t think it’ll take Jake long to get over her.
Jake arrives at Titan to find Kate. Philip hasn’t seen her but his mother’s capable of taking care of herself. Philip suggests he leave before Gabi returns. It doesn’t work and Gabi returns just as he’s talking about her not being over Stefan.
Back at the mansion, Kristen, without the Susan wig, comes out of the tunnel wall and sneaks past Chad and leaves, while he talks to Abigail. She goes upstairs and puts on the Kate mask and an outfit and preens, then calls Jake. He asks where she is. They agree to meet at the pub. Downstairs, Abby returns and doesn’t want to lose him. He smiles. She has no idea what that means to him. She loves him and is willing to trust that their love will find a way. Chad smiles and they embrace.
At Salem Inn, Gwen holds her belly and starts groaning in pain as she falls to the floor.
