In the Thursday, July 15, 2021, full episode recap of Days of our Lives, . In case you missed out, on Wednesday’s Days of our Lives episode, Eric returned to Salem on his anniversary to surprise Nicole.

Gwen arrives at SPD to answer more questions of Eli about Dr. Snyder’s death. He knows she lied about where she last saw him. He tells her Julie’s story about seeing Snyder laid out on the sofa. Gwen admits there was a man that slightly resembled Snyder. She reminds him Snyder was found dead in a lake, “Not on the Horton sofa.” He asks who the man was. She lies that he was a sloshed friend of Xander’s and she doesn’t know his name. Eli’s not buying this. “You know Xander. He’s always saying mate this and buddy that.” She’s done and takes off.
At Alice’s, Sami asks Xander to confirm he had sex with Nicole. He questions why she’d sleep with him and Sami has no idea why anyone would sleep with either of them. She offers him money to admit on tape the truth. He turns things around and asks if she cheated on EJ with Lucas. Sami is visibly uncomfortable. She offers a million but he was thinking of two. She tells him one is her final offer. He tells her to throw in the necklace and they’ve got a deal. Sami refuses. Gwen interrupts and he tries to tell her to take a hike but she quietly tells him Eli is on to them. Xander changes his tune with Sami. Get him cash and he’ll sing like a canary. She goes and Gwen and Xander discuss Snyder and what she told Eli. Eli arrives. Eli asks about the unconscious gentleman Julie saw on the sofa. Xander says he can’t tell him his friend’s name. He’s not sober and his wife would not be happy to find out. Eli threatens to take him downtown and Xander gets cagey. Why bother when the man died of natural causes? Eli asks where he got that from. Xander thinks he saw it in the paper.
Eric surprises Nicole at home on their first wedding anniversary. She hugs him and cries in his arms and they kiss hungrily. He notes she’s been crying. She was sad to spend their anniversary alone. She missed him. He didn’t tell her that he was coming because things kept ruining his return. He has done nothing but disappoint her all year. “That’s not true,” she lies. They talk about how important she thinks his work is and she tells him she’s sorry. “For what?” There were days she questioned their marriage and future, she cries. But her love for him hasn’t changed. They smooch. He’s sorry for how unhappy she’s been. He asks about the others. Holly’s on a camp trip and Allie and Henry are great. She loves having them there but they have the place to themselves. They grin at each other and head to the bedroom. After sex, he tells her it was worth the wait. Her guilt overcomes her and he questions what’s up. She feels bad that she has been so unhappy. Eric wants to invite the family for a celebration. Even Sami, which Nicole’s not into. He’ll have a talk with her. They kiss.

Lucas arrives at EJ’s office. He flashes to taking Kristen’s letter from the fireplace. “I have something for you,” he says. EJ laughs. Jake did that yesterday and EJ thought he was reaching for a gun. Lucas doesn’t have a gun. Just a smoking one. “I think I’ll let this do the talking,” he says, reaching for the letter. Kate interrupts. She thinks he’s there to get her fired. They’re busy putting together a new team. She’ll talk to him about this later. EJ wants to know why Lucas is there. Lucas decides the timing is off and goes, leaving EJ confused. Kate shrugs and calls EJ “Selfish, demanding, impossible.” EJ asks if that’s all. Kate adds, “I think also that you’re a pompous ass.” EJ says, “Good to know.” He doesn’t think Lucas is totally wrong. He thinks something is going on between Lucas and his wife. Kate doubts that they’re involved. EJ agrees but thinks Lucas could be falling for her again.

Philip arrives with Chloe at Basic Black. He had to drive her there. Brady thinks it’s nice that he drove her but they’ve work to do. Philip has a proposal to collaborate with Gabi Chic. Brady wonders why he’d bother. Philip reminds him he offered the use of his warehouses for free. Brady just doesn’t want him around and asks him to kindly go. He offers to drive Chloe home. “It’s high school all over again except this time, you’re the one that didn’t get the girl.” He goes. Brady and Chloe try to work and Brady says he sent Nicole home since it’s her anniversary and she hadn’t heard from Eric.

Philip finds Lucas at the pub. “You here to drown your sorrows in Ginger Ale? Let me buy.” He bitches about Brady trying to worm his way between him and Chloe. Lucas thinks that sucks. Philip’s surprised but Lucas admits he’s not interested in Chloe. Philip asks why he told her he had a brain tumor then. Lucas laughs. “She told you that?” Lucas says it was a whole blackmail situation. Someone was blackmailing Sami. Lucas explains about Kristen finding out that she cheated on EJ with him. HE came up with the brain tumor and it worked for a while, but “Eventually Chloe caught on because I went way over the top.” Philip laughs and then learns about the letter Kristen wrote tattling. “No way.” Lucas says yes, but he has the letter. He shows his brother and Philip questions why it’s singed. Lucas explains Sami tried to burn it. Lucas came to the mansion to finish their conversation and fished it from the fireplace. Lucas was going to throw the letter in EJ’s face, “But Mom showed up and she made it all about her.” Philip nods. “Good old Mom.” Lucas repeats him. Besides, Lucas says Sami would never forgive him. Philip gives him the advice to let EJ have it but ensure it isn’t traced back to him.

Sami takes a call from Eric outside Salem Inn. He’s home and tells her he wants to invite her to a party. He wants her to be happy and supportive of him and Nicole or she can’t go. Sami says she can count on her. She disconnects and calls Nicole a lying slut who will pay for this. Later, Nicole and Eric talk in bed as she eats yogurt. Nic asks if he’s home for good.
At SPD, Xander’s been arrested. He’s angry and Eli says he’s going nowhere until he tells him everything about the death of Dr. Snyder.
Sami returns to Alice’s with a huge case full of the money for Xander and Gwen tells her that he’s been arrested.
