Days of our Lives Peacock recap for Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
In today’s Days episode, Kate talks to Austin, Kristen toys with Chloe and Marlena, while the injections of the serum are given.
In Monday’s Days recap, Rafe admonished Nicole for hugging Eric, Rex got the serum tested and Kristen and Chloe had it out over Brady.
Tuesday…
In the hospital, Steve dabs at Kayla’s forehead with a cloth as she tells Joey she’s glad that he and Tripp came.
She tells Stephanie to come closer and gets Steve to give her Grandma Caroline’s bracelet.
Stephanie says it’s hers but Kayla knows she’ll remember them both as she wears it.
It’s a trinity knot that her mom gave her on her wedding day. Stephanie cries and vows to give it back once she gets better.
Tripp appears with the good news about the serum which they think is the real deal.
He says Marlena’s testing it.
In bed in her room above the pub, Kate calls Austin and tells him his father-in-law is going to be his stepfather again.
He congratulates her on the wedding and wants to come out but she refuses him.
Roman appears to tell Kate they may have their miracle. She disconnects and Chad turns up with a smile.
Roman wants him to sit with her while he goes to the hospital to see his sister. Kate’s glad to see Chad.
She tells him about the wedding and is sorry it happened so fast or she’d have invited him. She’s sorry about Clyde.
She should have known he never changed. Chad doesn’t blame her.
Chad calls it unfair that Rolf can bring EJ back but not Abby. They talk about how loyal and caring Roman is.
She tries to stay positive about beating this illness. “You’re Kate freaking Roberts,” Chad says. She laughs. He calls her a “certified badass.”
From her auto mechanic apartment, Kristen relaxes on her bed while she tells Brady to dump Chloe so they can be a family.
She reminds him that future treatments rely on his staying with her.
He looks at Chloe from the hospital as he listens.
He thinks they should be sure that the first dosage works before planning their future.
He disconnects, saying not to call back, prompting Chloe to ask what that was about.
Brady lies that Paul was asking questions he had no answers to.
In Marlena’s room, Rex finishes giving Marlena the serum.
If it works, they’ll give it to Kate and Kayla. Marlena’s monitors go wild.
She can’t breathe and starts to pant.
John tries to get her to breathe and relax. Her monitors stop racing and she feels better.
Her blood pressure is back to normal. She can feel it working. They all start to laugh in relief.

Rex appears to Chloe and Brady by the hub, with a vial of Marlena’s blood.
He’s testing it to ensure Marlena will be fine but tells them she’s feeling better.
He dashes off and Chloe hugs Brady in relief, noticing he doesn’t seem happier.
He covers and thanks her for being there for them. They kiss as Kristen watches from the elevator.
They profess their love and Brady goes to make a call while Kristen approaches Chloe, a big grin on her face.
She asks after Marlena and Chloe tells her that the treatment seems to be working. Kristen admits she has an ulterior motive to being there.
She thinks Chloe should dump Brady so she can be with him, instead of waiting for the inevitable — for him to humiliate her. They argue until Brady comes. Kristen says their daughter is upset because he’s still in a relationship with Chloe.
How can you be so selfish?” Kristen asks. Chloe gets in her face.
“How can you call him selfish?” Kristen smirks and tells Brady to give Marlena her best.
She hopes his mom has a full and lasting recovery. She leaves and Brady says that he loves Chloe but he loves his little girl.
He has to put her first. He dumps Chloe, who is stunned.
Back in Marlena’s room, John notes Marlena has color in her cheeks.
He kisses her.
In Kayla’s room, she falls unconscious as the family tries to rouse her.
Tripp wakes her up and tells them this is the normal course of the illness. Roman bursts in. “Marlena’s on the road to recovery!”
He asks what’s going on and Steve shouts that they’re running out of time.
They need the drug. Now!
Rex arrives and injects Kayla, who Kayla wakes up mumbling. “Pop.” She flatlines.
“She’s coding!”
Tripp yells. He does chest compressions and Rex bags her.
They find a pulse and she opens her eyes.
Roman asks if they can give it to Kate now. They wait a bit and when Kayla improves, Rex runs off to inject his mom.
Stephanie gives her mama the bracelet back. She’s grateful to see all her kids in the same place but Steve wants alone time with his wife.
The kids file out. They vow to stay healthy and safe. They kiss and say I love you.
Back in Kate’s room, they talk about Chad’s new job with Stephanie, though he says he may have crossed the line.
Kate asks him to tell her about it.
He explains that they had too much to drink and made out. He’s not ready to let go of Abigail, though.
Kate asks him to take it day by day. She falls unconscious and Chad can’t wake her. She comes around and asks him to stay with her though he wants to call Roman.
He can’t lose her, too! He shakes her as Rex and Roman turn up.
Rex jabs her with the serum and she’s revived pretty fast. She tells them she feels better and hugs Rex.
She thanks him and kicks the men out except Roman, since it’s her wedding night. She wants Roman. They kiss.
Kristen visits Marlena in her hospital room. John asks what the hell she wants.
She admits she hoped she’d suffer and die. John’s baffled by her.
She says she was reminded that God intervened and that he’ll intervene in her situation, too. John squints at her and Marlena rolls her eyes.
John tells her to stop talking in code. She says, “You’re welcome,” and then goes. Marlena begins to laugh.
Chad calls Stephanie while she and Joey are horsing around in the waiting room, talking about his tattoo. Chad calls and tells Steph he’ll be in to work tomorrow.
Back by the hub, Chloe tears up as Brady tries to explain why he has to let her go.
She gets it. She says to give her love to Marlena before she runs off, sobbing.
Brady runs a hand over his face, looking devastated. Kristen swans in and tries to make light of it. “I knew you could do it,” she purrs.
He tells her she won’t get away with it.
Kristen has and knows Cloe will be fine. Until she learns the truth.
