Days of our Lives Peacock recap for Friday, September 30, 2022.
In today’s Days episode, Stefan and Chloe indulge in a little champagne, Kristen makes demands of Dr. Rolf, and Rex returns to Salem and realizes a way to cure Kayla, Marlena and Kate.
In Wednesday’s Days recap, Chad saw Abigail’s ghost and said goodbye, Gabi was stripped of her DiMera shares, and Allie became jealous of Johnny.
Roman checks on an ailing Kate in their bedroom above the pub.
She is glad to be at home instead of the hospital.
Roman knows how she can feel even better.
He escorts Rex into the room.
Mother and son embrace and she asks why he’s there.
“To watch me die?” No, he says, to help find a cure. Kate doesn’t have a lot of faith.
It’s not easy when she feels worse each day. Rex thinks Orpheus created this toxin in a lab.
They assume Rolf is helping. Rex wonders if the ladies have the same illness that Roman had 25 years ago in South America.
Roman thinks it’s a stretch but Kate reminds Roman that Orpheus’ has singled him out for retaliation.
Rex calls it poetic justice for the dastardly man. Rex has priveledge at the hospital and asks if he can look into it for them.
They give him the go ahead and he toddles off.
At the hospital, Stephanie finds Steve on a call talking about Kayla’s illness.
She’s angry that he didn’t tell her.
She’s not a child and complains that she had to hear it from Eric.
She worries about all three women and asks what her father knows. He only knows Orpheus is behind it.
They find Kayla coughing in her room and Steve goes to get Dr. Patel.
When he’s gone, the women talk about putting a positive spin on this disease for Joey and Tripp, knowing that they are ready to jump on a plane to see her.
Stephane makes the call and puts the guys off for a while longer. She hugs her mom and then massages her.
In the chapel, John thanks God for helping them defeat the devil.
They’re up against Orpheus this time and he asks for help for the women.
Brady interrupts. Marlena’s asleep.
John’s glad but having a hard time since there’s nothing he can do for Doc.
The men hug. John’s anger gets the better of him at being forced to wait.
He apologizes for lashing out and Brady gives him the good news about getting sole custody.

It perks up John. They leave the chapel and finds Steve at the hub. The men hope the ISA will come through for them.
Rex turns up and explains to the men that he’s got a hunch as to what’s going on with Kate, Marlena and Kayla.
He needs to look at some old files. They back him up. He finds his dad’s old files and shows the men that the illness is the same. He thinks they can treat the women the same way they did his dad.
Chloe’s surprised to see Stefan on her doorstep with flowers.
He came to wish her a happy birthday.
She thanks him and admits she has no plans. Nobody remembered her birthday, but it’s understandable.
Her parents have so much going on. Joy has never remembered her birthday, so that’s no surprise.
Stefan asks what Brady’s excuse is. She lets him know about Marlena’s illness and the stressful custody battle with Stefan’s sister.
Stefan will be praying for her.
Marlena’s been kind and generous to him.
Chloe reminds him of locking her up in the secret room.
Kristen storms into Rolf’s lab demanding help with a new project.
Rolf jumps and barks that she almost destroyed his most valuable work yet, he grumps. She doesn’t care. She needs him to fry Chloe Lane’s brain.
He doesn’t do that. She assures him Chloe’s is really small.
It won’t take much. Rolf thinks she needs a lawyer. Not him.
Kristen whispers that she was close to victory and the judge ruled against him.
It’s thanks to Chloe, who was skulking around the courthouse.
“We are going to stop that homewrecking whore once and for all.”
She asks him to kidnap Chloe and strengthen her feelings for Stefan. He refuses. She begs.
He reminds her they just got pardoned. He wants to play by the rules and urges her to do the same. She’ll either get caught or have to go on the run.
Either way, she’ll never see Rachel. Kristen is determined to get her family back.
Rolf suggests if she wants to kidnap and brainwash Chloe, she’ll do it without his help.
She tries to sweeten the pot with money but he’s not interested.
She thinks her father would be appalled.
Rolf thinks he’d respect that he has far more important things to deal with.
Orpheus broke in and stole a deadly toxin. Kristen doesn’t give a crap. He’s behind bars.
Rolf tells her he’s already used it on Marlena, Kate and Kayla.
Kristen realizes why John said Marlena could be dying. Rolf says the women have the same illness that almost killed Roman Brady 25 years ago.
Rolf could be blamed for their deaths since Orpheus stole the toxin from him.
It’s why he has no time for her “ridiculous obsession with Chloe Lane.”
He explains he kept it for research purposes. Kristen knows he cured Stefano once already.
She asks if he can recreate the cure. He’s been working around the clock and will show her.
Back in Chloe’s room, Stefan regrets locking Marlena up and apologizes for making Chloe uncomfortable.
He can see she loves Brady. She’s sorry. It can’t be easy coming back after four years.
He’ll get over it eventually. She opens her gift. It’s champagne and orange juice.
They indulge in mimosas just as Brady waltzes in. They explain they’re drinking to her birthday.
Brady apologizes for forgetting. She shrugs it off but he promises they’ll do something fun tonight.
Stefan offers Brady orange juice but he wants alone time with his “beautiful girl here.” Stefan takes off.
Once at home, Stefan talks to Stefano’s portrait. He knows slow and steady wins the race. He wants Chloe and won’t stop until she’s his. He drinks.
Upstairs at the pub, Roman tells Kate that Rex called and thinks he’s found a way to make a cure.
She’s glad because she doesn’t know how long she can hold out for.
Roman comforts her and tells her he loves her. He wants her to hang in there.
Back at the hospital, John lets Rex know that he and Hope went to the jungle and found the rare orchid that the cure was made from.
Steve realize the need one of those rare orchids.
Back in the lab, Rolf shows Kristen the rare orchid that can save the lives of Kate, Kayla and Marlena.
