Days of our Lives Peacock recap for Thursday, September 29, 2022.
In today’s Days episode, Gabi’s stripped of her DiMera shares, Allie’s jealous of Johnny, and EJ asks his son and Ava to move back into the mansion.
In Wednesday’s Days recap, Clyde came out of surgery, Gwen didn’t remember who ran her down, but Jack began to wonder if Jennifer did it since she drove impaired.
At the DiMera mansion, EJ tells Stefan about his night, which included explaining to the police why he didn’t help the man who killed Abigail DiMera.
Stefan is grateful to his brother for saving Chad’s life and bringing Abigail’s killer to justice.
EJ knows Abby was important to him at one time. Stefan says she was but calls it an obsession.
He’s in love with Chloe Lane. He blames Gabi for not being able to see where it went. EJ calls Gabi a lowlife. The men are concerned that Wen Shin will restore Ava’s shares.
EJ suggests they try to align with Johnny. EJ plans on lying about his contrition in the hopes that he can lure his son and Ava to their side. EJ asks why Rolf kept him on ice for so long.
Stefan’s not sure. EJ knows Kristen was involved but there must have been someone else.
Stefan tries to think but it’s hazy.
EJ gets a message and learns the stock shares from Gabi are ripe for the taking.
In Gabi’s office, Ava asks if it’s true that Stefan’s alive. Gabi unhappily confirms it’s true.
Ava realizes she saw Stefan, not Jake at the manse. She’s not crazy.
Gabi assumes it means Li’s father can restore her shares. Ava doesn’t get why she’s not happy about Stefan’s return and Gabi huffs that he claims he never loved her and wants to take her DiMera shares from her.
At least they have Ava and Johnny’s vote.
Ava’s not sure about that. Ava boasts about sticking it to EJ by making him think she slept with his son. She admits she and Johnny are on good terms and she felt bad for kicking him out.
Gabi begs her to get him back so they can get his vote.
Chanel comes upon a half-naked Johnny sleeping on her sofa.
He wakes up and asks, “Hey, what are you looking at.” She awkwardly hands him his blanket.
Allie appears and kicks out her brother, citing that he’s overstayed his welcome and is messy and sweaty.
She doesn’t like that he’s being provocative toward Chanel.
Chanel denies being provoked but Johnny taunts his sister’s jealousy.
Allie’s just tired of his smelly body. He goes to shower and Allie rants that he thinks he’s so adorable.
“Checking himself out in all the mirrors.” Chanel hopes she isn’t jealous.
Allie snaps that she’s not but then confesses she’s “thrown off.”
It took Chanel weeks to decide who she wanted to be with and asks Dupree if she has a reason to be jealous. They argue and when Johnny returns in a towel. Chanel asks Johnny to stop torturing his sister.
He goes to dress.
Chad visits Abigail’s grave with some pink roses.
Abigail appears to him and Chad tears up. She asks how he feels now that he’s found her killer.
He thought he’d be relieved, but he feels empty.
He cries that he doesn’t know what he’s living for.
She tells him to let go of his anger and guilt.
Clyde Weston’s the only man who should feel responsible for her.
Chad says he should have protected her.
He doesn’t know how to go on and doesn’t think he can.
Abigail’s ghost says he has to.
For their children.
She urges him to remember all he has to be grateful for.
She wishes they could have made more memories. Every moment is more precious to her even if she had lived 100 years with him.
She touches his face and says the greatest gift he could give her is to live his life and find love again.
He vows that there’ll never be anyone else.
She knows he won’t always feel this way. He can still love her and move on.
She reminds him he always saw her in their children.
They sway together as he tells her that Charlotte’s kind and funny like her, while Thomas is curious and marches to the beat of his own drum.
Chad caresses Abby’s hair and she asks him to kiss her goodbye.
They share a kiss and profess their love and she disappears.
Chad sobs in his hands.
Li visits Chloe at her suite to discuss Stefan being alive. She calls it a shock. Li prods for information and learns that Chloe saw Stefan, who thinks he has feelings for her.
It doesn’t matter to her since she’s with Brady. Even if she wasn’t, she’d have a hard time reuniting with him since he cheated on her with Gabi.
Chloe can tell that Li wants her to help keep Stefan away from Gabi but she won’t do it.
Li thanks her for her candor. He wishes her all the best and goes.

Nancy visits Clyde in the hospital to ask if anything between them was real. Did he love her?
He says he told her he did.
Nancy tells him she was messed up after Craig and needed someone to make her feel desirable.
Now she cringes at the word ‘needy’. He gets it.
She cries as she asks if he would have killed her next. He wanted to be a better man for her and wishes he hadn’t hurt her.
He asks for forgiveness. Nancy cries that he should ask Chad for forgiveness and Sonny.
She’ll pray for him. He appreciates that.
Johnny runs into Ava outside Salem Inn. He explains his sister gave him the boot.
Since he has nowhere to go, she invites him to return to her room. “On what terms?”
She thinks she was hasty to kick him out and thinks it’s fate she ran into him.
Gabi hides Stefan’s wedding band as Li walks into her office. They discuss Stefan’s return from the dead. Li plans on being patient with her. He loves her and still wants to marry her.
Stefan arrives and she assumes he’s there to take her stock shares. Li’s shocked. Stefan says he has had time to think. His mind is clearer. He’s done with her and will file for divorce.
EJ appears. He’s signed the papers and the stock is officially theirs.
Stefan barks at Gabi to get the stocks. She does so but tells them she’s still CEO. EJ says not for long. Gabi kicks them out of her office.
At home, Chanel tells Allie that her mama says never to go to bed mad. They’ve done that for two nights.
Chanel wants to get past her taking her time in choosing her over Johnny.
She thinks Johnny’s into Ava now and over her. “I don’t want him. I want you.” She proves it with a kiss.
EJ stops Ava and Johnny from heading into Salem Inn.
He invites them both to move back into the mansion. He wants to apologize for the past and move forward.
He and Chad have made amends and he doesn’t want to be estranged from his son who he loves.
He claims he feels he was unfair about Ava’s mental health.
She wasn’t hallucinating. She was seeing Stefan, not Jake. He apologizes to her and wants to know if she’ll move back in. Ava tells him they’ll discuss it.
Stefan brings flowers to Chloe at Salem Inn.
