Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
In today’s Days recap, Jada and Eric share an awkward moment, Chad spends Valentine’s Day with Stephanie and his kids, Sloan and Eric go out to dinner, and see EJ with Nicole.
In the last Days recap, Chanel caught Alex and Allie together again and ended her relationship with Allie, Xander and Gwen blackmailed Jack for control of The Spectator, Gabi advised Wendy to go after Johnny, while Paulina encouraged Johnny to pursue Wendy.
At Basic Black, Brady finds a Valentine’s Day bouquet of red roses for Chloe from Stefan.
He promptly throws the flowers in the trash bin and calls Chloe to leave a message again, asking how she is.
Nicole arrives and admits she’s heard from Chloe. She spots the roses and card.
Brady thinks Stefan needs to reunite with Gabi. They discuss the deprogramming that Anna told them about.
Nicole feels sorry for Stefan and says Chloe’s reeling from everything that’s happened. It was too much and she had to get out of town.
Nic balks at telling him her friend’s location.
She doesn’t want to see Brady or Stefan. She’s still upset that he didn’t trust her to tell her Kristen was blackmailing him.
Brady feels like he’s lost her but Nicole thinks when Rolf finishes the procedure, Chloe and Brady will be together again.
Talk turns to her wicked hangover and they gossip about Eric drinking again. “He invited me to join him,” Brady shares. “What?” Nicole asks, stunned.
They know it’s because he lost Marlena and Brady thinks it’s also because he misses Nic.
Nicole thinks he’s fine. He has Sloan. Brady asks if she’s moved on with EJ. She doesn’t say.
Later, she’s gone and Brady leaves another message for Chloe that Nicole says she needs space. He’ll respect that but tells her he loves her, misses her.
Stefan’s glad Nicole was on fire in the meeting this morning. EJ’s out of it.
He rubs his forehead and they both agree EJ’s not himself. He’s foggy.
Stefan thinks he needs a drink.
He makes it for his brother and spikes it.
Before EJ can drink, Chad wanders in with a hug for Stefan.
They talk about him being in love with two beautiful women.
Chad will drink to his fate. EJ offers his drink and Stefan looks green.
Stefan tries to stop Chad from drinking it. When Chad takes a sip, he spits it back into the glass. It’s strong.
Chad has to get home to see the kids. Once he’s gone, Stefan offers to make him another drink but EJ’s got water and is headed to bed to clear his head.
Stefan talks to Stefano’s portrait about not giving up on vengeance. “Tonight is for love,” he says and calls someone.
Gabi runs into SPD to ask Rafe what’s taking him so long to release Rolf.
Rafe says he will as soon as Rolf comes through with the goods on Li. Gabi’s anxious.
Rafe’s sorry. He knows how much Li hurt him.
He’s trying to get evidence so he can charge him.
He wrote a statement and Sloan Peterson arrived as his lawyer and kept him from signing it.

Sloan waltzes into Li’s room at Salem Inn and updates him about her meeting with Dr. Rolf.
She told him not to talk. Li’s still not happy and wants to know what she’ll do about his Gabi problem. If she takes care of that, he can figure out how to get Gabi to forget about Stefan.
Sloan tells him to be aggressive. Stop worrying about what others will feel about what he’s going to do and do it.
He laughs. She sounds like Gabi who has a big heart under it all. They agree Li should go for her romantic side when trying to get her back.
Once Sloan’s gone, he fantasizes that Gabi’s there decked out in a pink dress and forgives him. They drink together.
He stops fantasizing. He drinks alone.
Gabi rants about her love not being with her at Valentine’s Day, holding a boombox over his head with their song playing. Rafe asks what their song is.
They don’t have one but she assumes Chloe and Stefan have an aria. She bets Stefan likes Chloe “and her big arias.”
Li calls Gabi, who isn’t happy to hear from him though he invites her to a romantic dinner. “You nauseate me,” she says. He offers to talk about their divorce.
She tells him to sign the papers and then lose his number. She disconnects. She missed a call from Stefan so she plays the voicemail. “Gabriella, my love. It’s Valentine’s Day and I can’t stop thinking of you.”
He’s counting the minutes until they’re together again and invites her over.
Jada runs into Stephanie outside Brady’s pub and gives her condolences over Kayla.
Steph heard Jada broke up with her cousin Eric. Jada says it wasn’t meant to be and she hasn’t had time to look for a new place, so they’re still living in the same building.
They haven’t run into each other much. Eric appears. Steph will see him tomorrow.
She goes and Jada gives her condolences for Marlena, Kate and Kayla. She brings up him seeing Sloan. It’s casual he says. She heads in.
Nicole lets herself into EJ’s room and he comes from the bathroom shirtless, in a towel.
She forgets how to speak and spits that she wanted to check on him.
He’s fine now and invites her to dinner. She thinks it’s a big deal but he reminds her she carried their meeting today and it’s worth celebrating.
She goes to get dressed, checking his body out as he walks away.
Chad lets Stephanie into the Horton house. They embrace.
She’s glad he called. He was glad she didn’t get a better offer for Valentine’s Day.
She is excited for pizza with him and the kids.
Later, they finish pizza and the kids turn up with a cookie they made for her.
She gifts them boxes of candy hearts. Chad says to pace themselves. Thomas gives Stephaine some.
After the kids are gone, Chad calls Steph special. The kids are always so happy around her.
Gabi turns up at the DiMera mansion in a red dress and watches Stefan light candles for a romantic dinner.
He thinks Gabi looks beautiful and tells her in the opera Carmen talks about a wild bird.
When he thinks of Gabi, he heard it in his heart and head. It’s their song.
Gabi melts. He gives her a rose and says he has their favorite wine. He remembered.
That’s all she wanted. He kisses her. They make out and she wants to go upstairs for sex. He does too.
They say I love yous and he calls her Chloe, causing her confusion.
Rafe finds Jada eating at the pub and sits with her when she invites him, thinking his burger will taste better with a beer.
At The Bistro, Sloan tells Eric this isn’t a date. She came for the ribeye. She tells him to get rid of the side order of romance when he attempts to pull out her chair.
EJ and Nicole arrive and it’s awkward.
