Tuesday…
From the Kiriakis mansion, Nancy colors her hair while she talks to Chloe on a call. She thinks she looks ridiculous when Craig turns up with a smile and some flowers. She tells him she’s getting highlights.
Craig thinks it’ll look beautiful. He gives her the flowers and asks how she’s doing.
He admits Bonnie thought she needed to see another friend. Nancy’s not sure he is her friend.
She paraded her new fiance and engagement ring around him. Craig knows she did it because he cheated on her and lied to her.
Nancy thanks him for checking on her. He kisses her hand and she asks to reunite.
She’d be his beard. He says they do know each other better than anyone else. She comments that they’ve seen each other at their best and worst.
He knows they care for each other and know how to take care of one another. They know it’d be safer than being with someone new.
Craig thinks it’d be e easier than having their hearts broken.
It wouldn’t be a romantic ending but Craig agrees, “It’d be pretty damned nice.”
Nancy tears up. They both deserve a chance at real love again.
Craig tells her he wants her to have that happy ever after. She wants that for him.
They’ll be friends. He suggests Neil Diamond Karaoke. She cries and kisses his cheek before he leaves.
Julie and Doug visit Laura at the cemetery. Julie says they miss her so.
They talk about how hard it was to visit Abigail’s grave.
Doug thinks these two beautiful women had so much to live for.
Julie is glad at least that Clyde Weston will rot in prison and thinks she’ll have to wait for Gwen to get what she deserves “at the pearly gates.”
The couple snuggle.
Julie starts up about how horrid she thinks Gwen is and Mike Horton (Roark Critchlow) turns up.
Julie and Doug are thrilled to see him and Julie embraces him.
Doug hugs him and he says he planned on paying his respects before heading to the house.
He admits Jennifer called and asked for his help. She’s back abusing pills and he arranged to get her into rehab. Julie’s relieved.
Jenn arrives at Gwen’s hospital room and Gwen asks if she’s come to finish her off. She looks like a deer caught in the headlights.
Is that how she looked before Jenn pressed the gas pedal to the floor?
Jenn’s not there to hurt her but to apologize. She wasn’t in her right mind. “I was high,” she confesses.
She was hallucinating Abigail. Gwen thinks she’s there to save her ass but Jenn denies it.
She needs help and will get it. Gwen has heard it all before from her mom but Jennifer says she’s just now decided to turn herself in to the police.

Alice Horton’s Donut Recipe:
Ingredients:
2 eggs
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of milk
5 tablespoons melted shortening
1-teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups all-purpose flour, sifted before measuring
4 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 stick butter, melted
Cinnamon Sugar
In a large bowl, beat the eggs until foamy. Gradually add sugar, beating constantly.
Stir in milk, shortening and vanilla.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Add to the wet ingredients, mixing well.
Cover and chill the dough for 30 minutes to one
hour for easier handling.
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Spray the baking sheet with vegetable cooking spray.
Roll out or pat the dough on a lightly floured board to a half-inch thickness. Cut with a doughnut cutter. Place the doughnuts and holes on the baking sheet, one inch apart. Bake for 10 – 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Brush each doughnut and doughnut hole with melted butter and roll in Cinnamon Sugar to coat all sides.
Makes about 36 doughnuts.
Cinnamon Sugar:
1 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon, blending well.
For those looking to cut calories and sugar content, you can use coconut flour and change the sugar to a sweetener of your choice such as Swerve.
