Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, December 13, 2022.
In today’s Days episode, Gwen ropes Leo into her scheme, and Sarah shares her suspicions with Justin, while Xander saves the day. Meanwhile, EJ and Nicole get closer as do Sloan and Eric.
In the last Days recap, Gwen faked a kidnapping, Chad and Stephaine ended up having dinner together, and Leo and Sonny held hands.
Sloan and Eric dine on Ethiopian. He apologizes for talking her ear off about Nicole.
She knows breakups are touchy and it sounds like he loved her. He did and he says she’s shacking up with her other ex-husband.
Sloan thinks Nicole sounds fickle.
He says she is. When they were married, she had a one-night stand with Xander Cook.
Eric thinks he should go home but he’s not looking forward to it. Jada lives down the hall.
Sloan thinks he’s entitled to feel angry that she changed her mind about the baby.
He knows it’s unfair but it’s her choice.
He’s not mad at her. It’s Nicole. Why couldn’t she keep her mouth shut?
He worries he’ll take his anger out on Jada and doesn’t want to. Sloan tells him to stay with her.
They would share the bed and nothing sexual would have to happen though she admits she certainly wouldn’t mind it.
Later, they get into bed and talk about her carrying anger and resentment over her parents’ death.
“It was,” she says and thinks their situations are similar.
They’ve been wronged by those who excuse and justify their actions.
He thinks they need to let go of the anger but she says screw it.
They’re entitled. He talks about his siblings and Sami being the bad girl while he went as far as to become a priest. Sloan laughs.
He says it didn’t work. “Have you ever just thought about not trying to be perfect for once? Like giving into your impulses.”
He smiles and appreciates her encouragement but it’s not in his nature. She calls it easy.
Just forget about everyone else. He kisses her and they start to make out and she stops things to ask if she’s taking advantage of him drinking a little.
He promises she’s not and they start making out again.
EJ’s surprised to find the patio doors wide open at the DiMera homestead.
Nicole appears. She just got Holly to sleep and thinks she’s going to like it there.
She’s grateful to EJ. They have a nightcap. “I can’t get it fast enough,” she says.
He pours and she asks about his day. Sister Mary Moira sniffs the air. She got there just in time.
She smells the air and says it’s overflowing with the stench of sin and wretchedness.
EJ rolls his eyes. They were sharing a nightcap.
She accuses him of drinking the devil’s juice with a woman who isn’t his wife. “She used to be,” he says.
EJ introduces the women. Moira knows her as the “Godless tramp sleeping in my beloved sister’s bed.” EJ suggests she apologizes.
Nicole is his guest. Moira is sorry she’s a Godless tramp, the Jezebel who lured Father Eric Brady out of the priesthood before she forsook her sacred vows.
She’s a corruptor of souls. EJ is the same.
Nic tells him not to defend her. Nicole agrees with Moira. “Even the Corruptor agrees,” sniffs Moira.
Nicole tells her that she is worse. She committed adultery and was divorced once already and is getting another because she was lusting after another man.
EJ grins as Moira has a fit.
Nicole admits Eric ended things because she talked his girlfriend into getting an abortion!
Sister Mary Moira can’t handle it and thinks she’s going to faint. Nicole grins as Moira tries to take it all in.
Later, someone watches Nicole from outside while EJ sends his aunt to bed. He apologizes on the woman’s behalf.
Nicole says grief can cause anger. EJ’s glad to see that side of her.
She fought back and stood up for herself. It reminded him of the fierce, take no prisoners Nicole Walker he fell in love with. She smirks.
“Welcome back,” he says, asking her to share her day. She talks about her and Eric ending things permanently.
EJ says instead of appreciating who she is, Eric stifled her fire and spirit. He thinks she’s better off without him.
In the square, Leo is told on a call by Gwen that Xander is the clown kidnapper. She needs his help.
In the mystery warehouse, Bonnie calls Xander’s name and he fakes coming to.
He wants to know where they are. She knows he knows.
“Faker!” She thinks one of his co-conspirators helped him.
Xander fakes that some musclebound dude came along and beat him up.
She realizes he looks beaten. He begs her to believe him.
She tries to make sense of it and he thinks now that Ava and Susan are gone, maybe he was following her because she can identify him.

At the Kiriakis mansion, Justin talks to Rafe about Bonnie going missing.
He’s on his way. Alex has called Mimi who hasn’t heard from her mom and he checked the potting shed.
Rafe arrives and says she hasn’t been gone long so he can’t declare her a missing person but he can put in an alert to his officers.
He goes to his car to do that. Justin takes off to continue the search.
Alex returns and Rafe reappears. Alex apologizes for putting Eric and Nicole on the cover of Bella.
He worries it helped tear her and Rafe apart. Rafe doesn’t blame Alex.
Alex thinks Eric’s rude and talks about how he refused to allow him to put them on the cover again.
Rafe seems to take a little joy in the fact that they had a fight but shrugs it off. He couldn’t care less.
Leo arrives at the Horton’s and Gwen says knocking out Bonnie was temporary so she tied Xander up too.
They’re in a warehouse. Leo calls it inspired. She pulls a clown mask out of a bag and needs him to do his best rendition of “Send in the Clowns.”
She tells him his Miss Piggy is “just cracking.” He knows but hates clowns.
His mom sent him to clown school as a kid and he was exceedingly talented but all the other clowns were bitches who hated on him. He vowed he’d never again don that sacred red nose.
She tells him it’s a mask and she’ll pay him. He asks for $300. They shake on it and she laughs.
She was going to pay him $600. He worries that Bonnie won’t believe he’s the clown since he’s not muscular like Xander. She has a plan.
Justin arrives at Sarah’s no-tell hotel room. He asks if she’s seen Bon Bon. She hasn’t.
He says he found her scarf at the park and is having Rafe look into it.
He may be overreacting but after the kidnapping, he couldn’t help it. Sarah can relate since Xander went on a run a very long time ago and hasn’t returned.
She doesn’t want to be disloyal to her husband but says there was a moment when she thought Xander was the clown who kidnapped Bonnie.
She realized he was not. Justin tells her he offered to sue Xander’s boss.
Maybe he was working for Ava Vitali? He thinks it’s a coincidence that Bonnie and Xander are MIA.
He asks if she’ll talk to Rafe. She refuses. Besides, if it was him, Xander would never hurt Bonnie. Justin begs.
Leo arrives at the warehouse, stuffing in his suit and the clown mask on. He starts yelling and acting like he’s going to kill Bonnie.
Xander breaks free of his ropes and tackles the clown, faking punches before dragging him into the hall. “Leo,” he whispers. “Is that really you?”
Leo’s never felt so butch in his entire life.
The men fake fighting more and then Xandy lets Leo escape and feigns going after him while Bonnie sobs and yells.
Xandy returns and unties her as she cries and apologizes for accusing him.
He smiles to himself.
At the Horton house, Gwen worries about “Matty.”
She flashes back to putting him into Doug’s old costume and some platforms to become the clown.
Leo arrives and tells Gwen that he loved wrestling with Xander and being manhandled by him.
She asks how the kidnapping went and he explains that it went perfectly and Bonnie believed it.
Gwennie pays him and he hates taking money from his BFF but has no choice.
He asks if he can keep the muscle suit to get dates. “Take it,” she says, calling it a bonus.
Leo hopes Xander appreciates what she did for him.
Sarah and Justin arrive at the Kiriakis mansion and Sarah is about to share her theory with Rafe and Alex when Bonnie bursts in with Xander and tells them she was kidnapped again and that Xander saved her.
She details the fight which was like a UFC fight.
Rafe asks where he is and Xander says he got away.
Rafe asks for distinguishable features. Bonnie can’t think of any.
Xander thinks it was one of Ava’s henchmen.
Bonnie thanks Xander and hugs him while Sarah watches, not seeming to believe it.
Everyone takes off and Bonnie says she’s never stepping foot out of this house until the evil clown is caught.
At the Cockroach Inn, Sarah kisses Xander and admits she thought he was the clown for a minute there. She’s sorry.
They embrace and she wants to run him a bath.
They kiss and he looks like he feels guilty.
