Days of our Lives Peacock recap for Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
In today’s Days episode, Chad and EJ mend fences, Abigail gets justice and Jack thinks Jennifer ran down Gwen while driving impaired.
In Tuesday’s Days recap, Shawn was upset with EJ and Belle for keeping important information from him about the case, Jennifer received an otherworldly visit from Abigail, and EJ shot Clyde.
At Alice’s house, Jack shows Julie the bottle of pills and asks if Doug’s still taking pain medication. She says that was a year ago.
Doug’s shoulder is better so he never renewed his prescription.
Jack thinks Jennifer’s back popping pills. Julie worries. They try calling her but there’s no answer.
In her car, Jennifer drives as she sobs over her steering wheel about what happened to Abigail.
Abby’s ghost sits with her in the passenger seat as Jenn talks about getting justice.
Gwen exits Salem PD and her eyes widen as car lights come at her.
In the graveyard, EJ shoots Clyde, who falls on his back and closes his eyes.
Chad gaps for air as his brother asks if he’s okay. Chad just wants to know if that bastard’s dead.
Clyde coughs as EJ taunts him. Clyde tells him to go to hell.
Chad asks how it feels to know he’s moments away from damnation.
The brothers will relish every single bit of his death. Clyde coughs. “Call for help.”
Chad pretends he didn’t hear him. Clyde says he can’t let him die.
EJ and Chad again act as if they never heard a thing. Clyde damns them both before he passes out.
At City Hall, Shawn gets a report of gunshots at the cemetery. He reluctantly lets Belle go with him.
Rafe finds Gwen on the ground outside SPD and tells her to stay with him as he calls for an ambulance.
Jennifer arrives home, looking confused.
She needs to sit down. She tells Julie and Jack that she imagined talking to Abigail. She decided to see what was going on with Clyde.
This confuses Julie who is shocked to learn Clyde was Abigail’s killer. Jack pulls out the bottle of pills. She denies knowing what they are and Jack begs her to tell him the truth.
She cries as he asks if she’s abusing pills again. She feels sick and runs off upstairs.
Shawn and Belle turn up at the cemetery.
Shawn feels for a pulse and learns Clyde’s still alive.
He calls paramedics and asks what happened. Belle stops EJ from saying a word but since Chad has no lawyer, he offers to talk.
At the hospital, Sarah and Xander learn there are two ambulances coming in.
She needs to get back to work. Xander gasps seeing Gwen rolled in on a gurney.
He talks to Rafe who says it was a hit and run. There were no witnesses.
Xander worries about Jack losing another daughter. Rafe calls Jack with the news.
At SPD, Chad tells Shawn everything.
He got the gun from the safe, intercepted Clyde and took him to Abby’s grave, where he made him confess his crimes. “He did it,” Chad reveals.
Shawn asks why and he fills him in on the rest, that Belle was the original target.
Belle and EJ appear and everyone looks shocked.
EJ realizes it was when Clyde wanted to do business with him.
Shawn shakes his head at EJ for putting his wife in danger. Chad admits he’d be dead if it wasn’t for EJ stopping Clyde by shooting him.
Shawn and Belle embrace and kiss. He takes off.
Belle lets EJ know that neither he nor Chad will be charged with anything if she can help it.
EJ apologizes for telling her about Clyde. Belle knows he had no way of knowing that Clyde overheard them.
She cries, wishing they could have stopped Clyde before he offed Abigail.

Later, EJ apologizes to Chad, too. Chad thanks him for rescuing him. They shake hands.
EJ admits he didn’t do that for Chad. “I just wanted to shoot him.” They laugh.
Chad’s glad that his wife finally got justice. He cries as EJ holds him.
Back at Alice’s, Julie tells Jennifer about the hit-and-run and that Jack raced to the hospital.
Jenn wants to follow but Julie stops her.
They discuss the pill-popping.
Julie’s not judging. Jenn admits Maggie knew. “She took me to a meeting,” Jenn says and when she returned, she took the bottle from the trash and kept taking them.
Julie dries Jenn’s tears and says she loves her.
They all do and she can’t presume to know the pain she’s in. Jennifer sobs on Julie’s shoulder.
Back at the hospital, Sarah fills in Jack and Xander about Gwen’s wounds who is stable with broken bones.
They have her sedated so Rafe won’t be able to speak with her.
Sarah lets Xander sit with her, since he knows Jack wouldn’t want her to be alone
. Shawn finds Rafe and tells him Clyde was shot and went into surgery.
They extracted the bullet and he’s recovering. Jack bursts in and Rafe gives him the low down about Gwen. Jack’s relieved. They tell him about Clyde.
“Is the bastard dead?” Shawn says he’s alive.
Jack wants to see him so he and Shawn visit his room. Jack demands to know why he killed Abigail.
Clyde lies that he didn’t touch a hair on his daughter’s pretty little head.
He thinks he should have a lawyer present. Jack starts yelling that he stole her life and it’ll haunt him and his family forever. He wants Clyde to be haunted.
Clyde claps his hands at Jack’s performance and thinks Jack’s better off without her.
Jack’s aghast. Clyde says she was beautiful but no angel. “That little slut cheated on my boy!” Jack calls him a son-of-a-bitch and goes at him.
Shawn grabs him and pulls him from the room. Shawn goes back to Clyde and wants answers.
He won’t rest until Weston is back in the big house.
In Gwen’s room, Xander tells her she’s going to be alright.
He calls her tough as hell and thinks she’ll be up and complaining about the grotty food and grumpy nurses.
Gwen opens her eyes. She asks Xander what’s going on.
Sarah tells her what happened. Rafe appears and questions her.
Jack rushes in and Gwen tells them a car came at her on her way to the car park at SPD.
She didn’t see the driver. She wonders who would do this and Jack recalls Jennifer saying she drove.
