Friday, May 7, 2020: On today’s full episode recap of Days of our Lives, Sami puts on her old Stan disguise, Brady is shocked when Susan makes a slip, and Allie reveals to Chanel that she’s straight.
Days’ Thursday recap – Belle and Shawn have proof that Jan was awake before Charlie was murdered.
At the hospital, Chloe falls all over herself to pick lint off of Lucas’s gown as he gripes that he doesn’t want to see another specialist. Chloe thinks he’s just a bundle of nerves. “Dr. Dunn is the best,” she says, going to find him. Meanwhile, Lucas gets up and calls Sami. He leaves a message about where he is. “If I see Dr. Dunn it’s over.” Chloe returns and then Dr. Dunn (Dan Wells) turns up. It’s actually Sami in disguise. The same disguise she used years ago. “Your tumor is massive Mr. Horton.” Dunn calls it aggressive. There’s nothing they can do. He has a few months. Lucas thanks him for his honesty. Dunn suggests he should enjoy these next few months, be with someone who means a lot to you. Be with someone romantic. He assumes Chloe is his significant other. She goes and Lucas whisper yells, “You’re Sami and I know it!” Sami’s voice says, “Surprise!” She takes off the disguise and they argue. Sami called him and canceled the appointment. “Kristen DiMera’s not the only master of disguise here.” Sami laughs that she fooled “that nudick Chloe.” Lucas says she’s not a nudnick. Sami urges him to get dressed and go be with Chloe. When Lucas won’t change with her in the room, Sami smirks and looks him up and down. She goes and later, Chloe returns with a hug. Lucas thinks of going to Antarctica. That is surprising to Chloe. “I love penguins so…” He invites her. Later, Sami finds Lucas and Chloe. She saw Dr. Dunn and he looked somber. Lucas tells him the tumor is inoperable. Sami hugs him and Chloe questions how she knew it was him. She saw his name tag. She’s happy to hear Lucas is going to Antarctica with Chloe, the woman he never stopped loving. Chloe’s surprised that Sami doesn’t want the family to be with him. Sami only wants his happiness. She looks online to help plan the trip. Chloe thinks Lucas needs a night to think but Sami thinks he needs to make the most of his final months. Family is important but so is being with someone he can be romantic with. Chloe flashes to Dr. Dunn saying basically the same thing. She then flashes back to meeting “Dr. Dunn” as Stan, years ago. “Oh. My God,” she says, looking at Sami when it dawns on her that Sami’s Dr. Dunn.
From the DiMera tunnels, Kristen talks to Vivian about cooling “that idiot’s jets” in prison while she gets rid of Kate. Kristen goes to Kate and rips off her gag. Kate yells that Jake will know something is wrong and he’ll find her. Kristen says he’s too busy getting back into Gabi’s pants. She takes out a syringe and says she’ll be on an almost deserted island. Kate asks what that means. “There might be a rat or two.” She goes to inject Kate and is shocked to see Kate’s freed herself from her binds. They struggle over the syringe and Kate goes down when she’s injected.
At Statesville, Susan paces and groans that she had a life. She doesn’t know how much more she can take. Brady arrives. “Kristen?” Brady thinks she’s forgotten it’s their daughter’s birthday. She hasn’t. He hands her a card to sign. She signs it “Susan,” and Brady is puzzled. He looks at her and asks what’s going on. She tries to lie but he realizes, “All this time… Kristen’s living with me and you’ve been here.” He’s upset that this over Chloe. Susan calls this true love. She says Kristen’s willing to do anything for him. He shakes his head. As they talk, he asks what was in this for Vivian. Susan doesn’t know but she’s ready to go home. Brady tells her she’s going nowhere. If she does, Kristen will go away for a long time. He asks her to keep up the rouse a little longer. He’ll try to get Kristen back tonight.

At Julie’s Place, Chanel and Allie are catching up, having a ball when they share a kiss. Tripp walks in and takes in the kiss as Chanel’s hand goes to Allie’s face. He leaves and Allie asks Chanel what that was. “A kiss,” Chanel says. Allie explains she’s not gay. Chanel isn’t either. They had a moment and it felt right. “It’s just a kiss.” Chanel’s been with men and women. She’s not into labels. “I like people and I like you, Horton. I didn’t mean to freak you out.” Allie rambles about how her brother is gay and it’s cool. She’s never shared a kiss. “It was nice,” she says. Chanel doesn’t think that’s a rave review. Chanel congratulates her on her first girl kiss and says they can pretend it never happened. Allie’s fine with it. They agree to job hunt together tomorrow. They embrace.

Claire calls and leaves a message for Belle about how creepy Jan has been acting. Tripp appears and tells Claire that he just walked in on Allie and Chanel kissing. Claire’s shocked and not happy since she can’t stand Chanel. Claire thinks Chanel’s just trying to stick her with the bar bill by coming on to her. Tripp says Allie was kissing her back. Claire doesn’t know what that means but they can’t let her scam Allie!
Jake spots “Kate” dragging something (Kate’s body) out of the DiMera mansion and questions her. He tells her this isn’t her and to stop pretending that he doesn’t make her happy. He tries to grab her bag and she gets angry. She reminds him they’re over. “So man up and accept it.” He can’t. She’s too important to him. “Kate” doesn’t care and urges him to team up with Gabi. She leaves.
In her car, Kristen rips off her Kate masks and notices that the zipper on the bag Kate’s in unzips. “What the hell?” Meanwhile, Brady’s driving back from the prison and as Kristen and Kate fight, Brady veers off the road.
Claire and Tripp walk into Julie’s Place and see Chanel hugging Allie. “Get away from my cousin!” Claire yells.
