Monday, May 10, 2020: On today’s full episode recap of Days of our Lives, Brady winds up in surgery, Chloe realizes she’s been duped, and Gabi and Jake get close to kissing.
Friday’s cliffhanger Days episode had Brady, Kristen and Kate in a car accident.
At the hospital, Chloe figures out that Dr. Dunn was Sami. Sami and Lucas try to cover but Chloe’s on to them. “Dr. Dunn is Stan and Stan is you,” she says. They continue to lie to Chloe’s face until Chloe realizes they’re in on this together. Why would Sami pretend to be a doctor? “You don’t have a brain tumor, do you?” Lucas claims he does.

Allie and Tripp wander into Julie’s Place and Allie yells at Chanel that she won’t let her scam her cousin. Allie says she doesn’t need her help. Tripp defends Claire and they explain to Allie that Chanel stuck them with a 500 dollar tab. Allie calls Chanel her good friend from London. Nothing weird is going on here. Allie demands to know why Chanel was kissing her. She rants and demands answers. Chanel wonders why it’s any of their business what they do. Allie reveals that Tripp’s the guy she likes, Henry’s uncle. “You’re kidding me. This cheapskate?” She asks. Allie and Tripp go outside to talk while Allie keeps up her tirade against Chanel until Chanel says, “What is wrong with you people? Sometimes a kiss is just a kiss.” She tells Claire that Allie’s paying for the drinks this time and if she doesn’t believe her she can call the cops. Outside, Allie tells Tripp nothing is going on between her and Tripp. She’s not bisexual and wants him to know. Chanel appears and says goodbye to Allie and Tripp and then Allie gets a text and takes off.

Gabi arrives at home and notices Jake’s depressed and drinking. “Kate’s gone,” he tells her. She tells him to snap out of it and man up. He scoffs. Kate left town, not just him! Gabi finds that strange. Her family is here and her new great-grandchild…Allie. Jake starts to think that he was wrong about Gabi and hits on her so she slaps him across the face. She doesn’t want Kate’s sloppy seconds. She storms to her room. A knock comes to the door. It’s Jake with a martini as a peace offering. She accepts it and he apologizes for being out of line. He’d like to talk. She reluctantly lets him in. She decides to give him good advice and tells him it’ll take time to get over Kate. She believes in being happy and making your own fairy tale. “Sometimes you get the frog,” he says. She calls his sense of humor irritating and says not to give up on love. Jake thinks Kate dumping her is the universe’s way of saying they weren’t meant to be. Gabi thinks there’s someone else for him. “Maybe I’m looking at her,” he replies, moving close.
Brady, Kristen, and Kate get into a car accident. Kristen thinks that the car swerved and is fine so she keeps driving and blames Kate. “You almost got someone killed.” Kate starts yelling that she wants out of the car and Kristen grabs another syringe and prepares to inject Kate. Kate begins strangling Kristen. Kristen injects her with the syringe and Kate lets herself out of the car before she passes out. Meanwhile, Brady wakes up in the ditch with a gash on his head. He finds his phone and dials 911. He tries to tell them where he is but succumbs to his wounds and falls unconscious.

At the pub, Abe tells Lani that Paulina hasn’t given her a specific date for her return. Lani knows he’s made the zoning changes happen at City Hall. She shakes her head in concern. She doesn’t want her dad to be disappointed. What if she changed her mind and isn’t returning to Salem? She may have gotten distracted with another project in Miami. Abe doubts it. Auntie P is really excited about this. Abe receives a call from Paulina. She complains about the heat and when Abe urges her to come back to Salem where it’s cool, she says it sounds like heaven. Abe puts her on speaker so she can say hello to Lani. Paulina misses them and talks about how much she looks at their photos. She tells them she has a few things to wrap up and then she’ll be back. She’s worried about her sister, hoping she’s staying out of trouble. Later, after they disconnect, Paulina says she’s still working on things and there’s no turning back now.
Back at the hospital, Kayla interrupts Sami, Lucas and Chloe arguing to tell them about Brady’s car accident. Chloe runs to his side and Lucas says he’ll tell Chloe the truth.
Kristen stops her car and goes in search of Kate. She calls Sami to complain about Kate. Sami was about to call John and tries to get her off the phone. She quickly lets her know about Brady’s accident. Kristen has a conniption. She’ll be right there. She disconnects and realizes she’s responsible.
Back at the hospital, Chloe is in Brady’s room when Kayla worries he has internal iinjuries. Brady’s monitors start beeping so she uses paddles on him. He comes back and Kayla allows Chloe to sit with him while she gets ready for surgery. Meanwhile by the hub, Sami paces. “Kate” shows up and demands to know if “He” is alright. Lucas tells “Kate” he’s here and he can explain. He’s not really dying. “Not now,” “Kate” barks. In Brady’s room, Chloe sobs that she hopes he’s okay. Brady wakes up and says, “Kristen. Kristen.” Chloe tells him what happened. He says, “Kristen, she’s not Kristen,” just as “Kate” walks in.
In the bushes, the real Kate crawls on the grass and then says, “Jake, please. Help me. Jake.” She passes out.
