Days of our Lives Peacock recap for Wednesday, October 14, 2022.
In today’s Days episode, Tripp and Joey arrive in Salem to see their mother, and Brady agrees to Kristen’s terms as she offers him a deal to save Marlena’s life.
In Tuesday’s Days recap, Sami and Lucas called their mothers to check in on them, Rolf realized what Kristen was planning, and Eric married Roman and Kate.
Thursday…
In the hospital, John smashes the orchid by the hub in anger. Stephanie worries it’s the one they need to save her mother. It’s not. He tells her it’s from Orpheus. “Son of a bitch, he’s twisting the knife.” She apologizes that he lost it. She’s sorry she yelled at him. They’re terrified and embrace. She feels bad for not trusting her father to begin with.
In her room, Kayla visits with Tripp and Joey. Steve assures them she’s not contagious. Steve finally tells them the truth about why she’s sick. Tripp wants to see the doctor.
Kayla tells Joey she’s too weak to hug him. He assures her it’s okay. She says she’s not getting better. She didn’t want them to know. Joey tells her they won’t leave until she’s better. Steve goes to check on Marlena while Kayla explains everything to her boys.
Tripp calls her the strongest woman he’s ever known. She’ll get through it. He gave himself hell for blaming him for what happened with his mom on the plane here. Joey insists he’s to blame but Kayla says to let that all go. She’s proud of the men they’ve become.
By the hub, Steve finds Steph and John. She’s glad her brothers came. She goes to see them while John rants to Steve about hunting that bastard Orpheus down. John tells him about the orchid Marlena got and how Steph caught him smashing it. Did he get one too? Steve says no and tries to run to find Orpheus. John won’t let him. They try to figure out their next move and figure they’ll have to treasure every second. John cries.
In Kayla’s room, she explains that Stephaine’s not to blame for keeping this from them. She had hoped she would call and tell them she was better but Stephanie wanted them there. Steve arrives. Kayla’s happy to see the five of them together. She cries and wishes she could make them chili or sloppy joes at home. Tripp and Joey offer to get food and bring it back. They take off and return with pizza from Brunos. Kayla eats a little and has never been happier than in this moment. She cries and Stephanie starts up.
In her apartment, Brady tells Kristen that there’s a rare orchid that could save Marlena, Kayla and Kate’s lives. She toys with him. What if she could help? He lets her know the orchid is extinct.

She tells him she moved the orchid before the police showed up. He calls her out for playing with him. She reveals Rolf grew a new plant from a seedling. She shows him a photo of her with the orchid. Brady’s biting. He won’t take her word for it. She thinks he’s being cavalier and confesses the serum is being formulated.
He assumes she wants shared custody of their child. Kristen loves Rachel but she wants Brady to break up with Chloe. He refuses and she laughs at the time he’s wasting. She also wants them to reunite. He moves to the door, thinking it’s insane. He stops when she reminds him Marlena will die. She tells him not to say a word or the whole deal is off.
He doesn’t think anyone will go for it. He calls her a monster but she just sees herself as a mother. She tells him to do it now. They’ll become a loving family. She knows that the trio will need a second dose in a few months and maybe a booster. They’re in for it for the long haul. He says the serum it better work. He’s in. He’ll break up with Chloe when he knows the drug is working and he, Rachel and her will live under the same roof as a family. He reminds her she’ll never make him love her. “Time will tell,” she says. He hates her for doing this. He goes and she gives herself a pep talk.
At the pub, Eric calls Billie about Marlena and asks her to call Cassie and Austin. Jada appears and lets him know they found nothing at Rolf’s lab. Eric yells that Kate, Kayla and his mom are running out of town. She knows.
Rex is helping Shawn. Eric realizes that’s why he tore out of there after the wedding. Jada thinks it’s sweet they married. They talk about John’s strength and how Jada wanted to be the one to bring him good news. He kisses her and calls her a person he can count on. She leaves to find Shawn.
At the square, Chloe rants to Nicole about giving Brady space. Nicole thinks she should just do it behind the kid’s back but she can’t. Nic understands. She’d do anything to be there for Eric right now. She explains that Eric and Jada saw them in an embrace. Jada made it clear she’s Eric’s girlfriend. Chloe asks if she got the message. She did. She still feels an old pull between them.
Later, outside the pub, Eric gets a call from Sami who wants to be there. He knows it’s okay for her to be there with Sydney. She asks him to tell Dad she loves him. He says it’s times like this you need to get strength from those you love. He looks up and sees Nicole.
Chloe arrives at Kristen’s place. Kristen laughs in her face.
