Thursday, March 25, 2020: On today’s full episode recap of Days of our Lives, Chanel arrives in Salem, Paulina has a big gift for Eli and Lani, and Claire makes a new friend.
At the christening, Father Bernard (Boise Holmes) tells Eli and Lani this is his first time christening twins. Lani goes to Paulina to apologize again and Paulina says it’s fine. Doug appears at Paulina’s side. “Anybody ever tell you you’re a silver fox?” He says, “Only my wife.” She asks his age. “Ninety-five years young,” he proudly relays. Paulina’s shocked and says whatever he and his wife are doing, “You just keep on that.” The christening begins and Val makes vows to be there for the children. Now that the babies are in this world, she’ll be spending a lot more time in Salem. Abe talks about his sons, Brandon and Theo, and his daughter Lani, with whom he’s proud. He’s grateful and honored to be a grandfather to Carver and godfather. Theo promises to try the best he can, and Julie tears up. They gathered there to say goodbye to her son David, which was the first time she set eyes on Eli. She promised to shower him with love and now she promises to do the same for his exquisite daughter. Father Bernard baptizes them and says he knows their older brother David Abraham is looking down on them. Julie hugs Paulina and there are hugs all around before Theo invites them to Doug’s Place.

At the hospital, Ciara yells at Ben to get out of her room. He tells her he loves her. She tells him he suggested he loves her back and she calls that deranged. She thinks he has a sick obsession with her. He tells her this isn’t an obsession, it’s the greatest love we’ve ever known. He shows her his ring and says they’re married. She calls him a liar so he whips out his backpack with some things to prove it. She looks at their wedding photo and calls it photoshopped. He then takes out her engagement ring. “That’s a washer,” she tells him. He knows. It’s from her dad’s motorbike. It was a placeholder. She denies it. She just crashed the bike. He yells that she crashed it a long time ago and it started their romance. He tells her their story from the rescue after she crashed her bike, to setting her broken leg, their first kiss, to their first date, and his proposal. He begs her to try to remember. She barks that she doesn’t remember a single thing. Ben shows her the Alice in Wonderland book and tells her about how the book played a part in helping him find her through their psychic link. She denies that they have a psychic connection but Ben yells that they do. He gets in her face and yells that he won’t give up on them. Roman appears and asks what’s going on. Ciara yells that she doesn’t love him. Ben’s devastated and Roman whispers to go. Ciara yells, “And take your stupid junk with you.” He walks away sadly, and Ciara asks if any of what Ben said is true about them being in love. Roman reveals it’s true. “Ben is your husband.” Ciara cries and wonders how it’s possible. Roman wants to get Kayla before they tell her everything.

A woman begs Claire to get off her phone and tell her where the Salem Inn is. Claire points behind her and the woman freaks out and runs inside. She returns and apologizes and compliments her outfit, but says she looks like she lost her best friend. The girl is sorry. Claire says she’s not dead but it’s a long story. She sits and says she could use a hot tub and a bed but she’s waiting for someone. She offers to instead order them mimosas. They drink and the girl says she drove from Miami to Salem on one tank of gas. She ate peanut butter crackers and drove here without stopping. They commiserate over how gross those crackers are and Tripp wanders by. Claire introduces Chanel. They discuss Ciara and how she caught her with Tripp. Chanel teases that she slept with her cougar aunt’s boyfriend. Claire says they’re the same age and explains what happened, including the explosion. Chanel is shocked. They explain that they’re not together now and that she dated Tripp’s brother for a while but that didn’t last. He was murdered. Chanel is again shocked and learns that her aunt Sami confessed but that they’re not sure she did it. Later, Chanel is ready to go and asks Claire to take care of the tab. Claire’s upset since Chanel is the one who offered to pay. Tripp says he’ll take care of it but it’s five hundred dollars. The women argue.

At Doug’s Place, Julie says a speech to the family. Theo offers to babysit the kids when she and Eli go on their first date. But he can’t see that happening until the twins are old enough to have kids on their own. They grin. Paulina finds that most gifts are from Julie and Doug. Paulina gives Lani her gift first. A blank check. It’s for tuition for the babies for college. Lani tries to say no but Paulina can afford it. She wants to be in charge of their academic future. Eli wants to accept it. A cop’s salary can go so far. Lani says they’ll discuss it in private and will let her know. Later, they’ve opened their gifts and Lani and Eli decide to walk home with the babies so they sleep. Abe helps Val into her coat and Paulina asks Julie what the deal with them is. Julie says they used to date but not anymore. Paulina’s interested in Abe.
At the hospital, Theo finds Ciara crying, wondering how she could be married to a monster. Theo comforts her with a hug.
Eli finds Chanel and Claire arguing over the bill. Claire calls him over and tells Chanel he’s a cop and that she’s skipping out on the bill. Lani and Paulina appear with the babies. Paulina tells everyone that Chanel’s her daughter.
