On today’s full episode recap of Days of our Lives, Rafe saves Ava, Ben saves Claire, and Eli and Lani prepare to take their babies home.
Val visits the hospital as Eli and Lani prepare to head home with the babies. Val asks what they named the kids and is upset that they named Julia after Julie. She was hoping their daughter would be named Val. They swear the next child will be named Valerie. Val knows she and Julie have differences, but she’s been very welcoming of her. And Lani wanted her to know there were no bad feelings between them. Val’s cool with it. She gives them a breast pump and heads to the pub to get food for their freezer. Eli gives her a gold heart necklace. The locket has photos of the babies. Lani swoons and they embrace and spend a few minutes getting romantic. When Eli jokes that the car seats aren’t set up, Lani gets emotional. Eli reveals he’s joking and she scoffs. They head to the nursery, but before they get there, somebody picks up one of the babies…
Rafe hears a commotion at Charlie’s place and when nobody responds to him announcing he’s the police, he heads inside and finds Ava passed out on the floor, still tied up and gagged. Ava comes around and hallucinates that Rafe’s Charlie. She starts to freak out and Rafe asks her to calm down. He’s not going to hurt her. Ava calls Rafe Charlie and she yells to put the knife down. Rafe convinces her he’s Rafe and she calms down and reveals Charlie killed Tripp. “Don’t you see all the blood all over the floor?” Rafe tells her there’s no blood.
Marlena and Ben head into Hope’s place but they can’t find Claire. Ben asks why she thinks Charlie’s a threat to Claire. Upstairs in her room, Claire and Charlie sit on her bed and Charlie asks, “So. Are we doing this?” Claire goes to ‘slip on something more comfortable’. Downstairs, Marlena spots Claire’s phone and tells Ben she has a gut feeling about Charlie. She must be in the house somewhere. Upstairs, Claire comes from the bathroom in a nightgown and robe. They make out and then Claire asks if he likes the way she looks. He’s never known anyone so beautiful. Nobody’s said that to her before. They kiss more and wind up in bed, where Ben finds them. Ben tells them to get out of bed and they jump. Claire and Charlie yell at Ben to go. He’s sorry but that isn’t going to happen. He’ll stay there with “Chuckie” while she goes and talks to Marlena. Claire stomps down the stairs while Ben and Charlie size each other up. Charlie threatens to call the cops if Ben doesn’t let him go. Ben says he can go, but he can’t interrupt Claire and Dr. Evans. He walks him out through the back. Downstairs, Marlena’s thrilled to see Claire. “Where have you been?!” Claire had music on. And she has company. Marlena’s upset to hear it was Charlie. She asks Claire to come home with her and they’ll explain everything. Claire becomes upset and tears up. She wants to be with Charlie. Marlena doesn’t want that. Claire begs to know why. Marlena explains Steve and John’s investigation and that Tripp may not be the rapist. It could be a relative of Tripp’s. Ben appears and says Charlie took off. Claire goes to dress and says she’ll go with them. Marlena thanks Ben for his help. Hopefully, John can explain everything when he gets home.
Val runs into Abe at the pub and admits she isn’t happy that the baby is named after Julie Williams since she was so horrible to Lani. Abe defends Julie, who worked hard to make amends. Val grins. “Oh Mayer Carver, you are still one smooth talker.” Val goes to get the meals and Roman returns. They discuss Allie’s rape. Roman’s disgusted and angry. Val appears and she and Roman chat before he goes to get her order together.
Kayla finds Ava in the hospital and learns Tripp is dead and Steve’s burying him. Kayla says that’s not possible. She’ll get Ava another doctor and call Steve and get to the bottom of this. Once she’s gone, Ava wishes Charlie had never been born. Kayla runs into Rafe outside, who tells Kayla Ava’s been hallucinating. He explains the full story that Steve and John told him to go to Charlie Dale’s apartment because they think he raped Allie. Kayla thinks Ava had a breakdown or she’s been drugged. Kayla returns and tells Ava the other doctor is busy. Ava wants Patch. “Our son is dead,” she says. Kayla thinks Ava is hallucinating and has left a message for Tripp to come so she can see that he’s fine. When Kay tries to draw blood, Ava reveals her other son Charlie tried to kill her, and yells, ‘no more needles’!
Charlie arrives at home and freaks out when he finds his mother missing.
