Kristian Alfonso Confirms Role in Lifetime’s V.C Andrews Films

A Lifetime Movie Series event with former Days star.

Kristian Alfonso left Days of our Lives in October 2020, leaving a hole in the NBC soap for her fanbase. The actress has been busy since already working with Ali Sweeney (Sami Brady) on her Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ Chronicle Mysteries series as Sheriff Williams.

Alfonso quickly taped one of the leads in another television series which begins in March on Lifetime. In the books based on V.C Andrews’ Landry Family novels,ย  Pearl in the Mist, All that Glitters, and Hidden Jewel.ย Alfonso shared an image of herself in the movie and said, “Iโ€™m so #happy #๐ŸŽ† I can finally share this with #you all ๐Ÿ™‚ Lifetime #vcandrews see #you also in #๐Ÿ˜‰ #march. The series will follow Ruby Landry, who was raised in the Louisiana Bayou by her loving grandmother who happens to be a spiritual healer. Ruby learns she has another family in New Orleans, and when they meet, Ruby gets thrown into a world of dark family secrets and betrayal. Alfonso will be playing Gladys Tate, the mother of Ruby’s childhood sweetheart who wants to keep the two apart. Also seen will be Marilu Henner, Richard Harmon, Jennifer Laporte, and Young and Restless’ Lauralee Bell (Christine Williams) who portrays Daphne, Ruby’s stepmother.

Pearl in the Mist can be viewed on March 21. Next will be All That Glitters, which will air March 27, and Hidden Jewel, which viewers can see on March 28. Each movie starts at 8:00 PM EST. Watch the trailer from Lifetime’s YouTube page.
