Days’ Eric Martsolf’s Loving Tribute to Mother, Who Passed Away, ‘She Lived and Loved Fiercely’

May she rest in peace.

Sad news in the soaps world today. Eric Martsolf, who has portrayed Brady Black on Days of our Lives since November 2008 reported that his mother had passed away.

The actor posted on Facebook, “Heaven was fortunate today to have received this angel. My Mom was the most original mixture of beauty and toughness I’ve ever known. She lived and loved fiercely, and the family unit was always to be treasured and never abandoned. Any room was better with her in it, and her storytelling style riveted the toughest of crowds. I will miss the perplexed look on the many waiters’ faces when asking for a large glass of ice to accompany your Chardonnay, and I will greatly miss the outlandish, and sometimes admittedly inappropriate, laughter that we extracted from any situation. Rest now, Mom-and thank you for showing me how to love. I, and everyone who knew you, will miss you. Love, E💙

Martsolf is not only well known for his role as Brady Black of which he has won a Daytime Emmy for, in 2014, but he also was exceedingly popular for his role on NBC’s Passions as Ethan Winthrop, one half of the supercouple with Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald. The actor has modeled, he’s done radio broadcasting, he also sings and dances. It was only last July when Martsolf posted an image of his parents together as he wished his father a Happy Father’s Day.

He wrote on Instagram, “Happy Father’s Day to this terrific gentleman who has supported every crazy endeavor I’ve ever thrown myself into. Along with his trusted and beautiful partner to the right, they prepared me for the rigors and joys of fatherhood. I love you. E”
