Dick Van Dyke
Most will recognize him from either The Dick Van Dyke Show or Mary Poppins and now, Dick Van Dyke will be guest-starring on Days of our Lives in one upcoming episode.
Access Online refers to his character as a “mystery man with amnesia.” You can head over there to watch a clip of the actor working alongside Deidre Evans (Marlena) and Drake Hogestyn (John).
Van Dyke told the website, “I have played old men before, but comedy old men. [This is the] first time I have ever just played my 97-year-old self.”
Folks will see Van Dyke Friday, September 1.
“Some of the people have been doing it for 20 years,” Van Dyke said.
“That’s all the homework I can do, watch one and see how they do it. The other thing, you have to hold, ‘duh duh,’ there’s the sting of music and we’ve said something exciting.”
How the actor got the part? That was all thanks to Hogestyn who works out at the same gym as the Mary Poppins star.

I’m just excited for this new horizon of whatever is to come because I just love characters. I love cultivating them. The most wonderful thing about acting is playing pretend every day. I love to do that, and I can’t wait to do that with a bunch of other people and make magic again.”

Charlotte Ross
Could Charlotte Ross be returning to Days of our Lives to reprise the role she originated as Eve Donovan?
The actress posted an image of herself with the caption, “About last eve…”
When a fan asked if she was going to return to Days, Ross said, “We’ve had a few conversations lately…”
Ross debuted on July 16, 1987, as a teenager, and stayed until 1991. In 2014, Kassie DePaiva took over the role and was last seen in August 2020.
This conversation with Days had to have taken place at least 9 weeks ago so if the actress does return, it’s likely not to happen for a few months. SoapsSpoilers will update when we know more.
