Finn and Steffy get cozy in front of the Christmas tree at home. She’s sorry Sheila can’t be a part of their celebration. “No worries. I’m good.”
Deacon arrives at Sheila’s hotel with a gift. He says if he was found there he’d ruin everything but he wanted to tell her Merry Christmas. He gives her Christmas cookies and she smiles, grateful. He asks if she heard from Finn. She hasn’t and looks wistful. “Not even an emoji.” She calls him.

At the cabin, Kelly and Douglas wrap gifts for those less fortunate. “It’s important to share,” Douglas says. The kids run to get cookies. Deacon’s name is brought up and Hope admits she is going to see him for the holidays. She suggests he can leave the house while he’s there. He smiles and they decide not to talk about it anymore.
He has a gift for her. They talk about how she’s his “pride and joy” and he’s hers. They get cozy on the sofa and Liam talks about being thankful and grateful for her. He calls her the beating heart of the family. He gifts her a sunflower necklace that opens to show the kids names. She loves it.
Back at the Cliffhouse, Sheila video chats Finn. Sheila asks to see them at Christmas for a few minutes. They tell her it’s not going to happen. “Have a good holiday,” Finn says, as Taylor eavesdrops, looking sad. They disconnect and at the hotel, Sheila wonders how she can have a good holiday.
Deacon understands and is sorry she’s going through this. She’s hurt and angry and rages that Steffy was behind him and she couldn’t talk to him with her there. Deacon tries to give her the tissue box and she smacks it to the floor. She doesn’t need his pity.
Deacon tells her Finn is the one who said no to her, not Steffy. She needs to stop blaming Steffy for this. He suggests they go for a walk to change her focus. She can’t stop thinking about the heartless way she’s being kept from Finn and Hayes. Sheila thinks he’ll get to hold Beth while she’s frozen out of her grandson’s life by Steffy.
“I swear, if she weren’t married to Finn…” Deacon tells her to be on her best behavior. She claims she isn’t that person she once was. She thinks Taylor will help stop her from seeing Finn again, let alone for Christmas. Sheila admits she thought there would be magic to melt Steffy’s “cold, cold heart” to let her see her son for one day. Deacon hugs her.
Back at the Cliffhouse, Taylor asks Finn how he feels not seeing Sheila for the holidays. Finn says it doesn’t matter what he thinks. Steffy doesn’t like where she’s going with this but Taylor tells Finn it does matter. Connecting with biological parents is important and she thinks they should seriously consider inviting Sheila over for Christmas.
Steffy’s jaw drops open. “What? She shot you!” Taylor doesn’t think it’s healthy to deny the feelings he has for the woman who gave birth to him. Steffy yells if she forgot how unstable Sheila is. Taylor hasn’t but thinks they should still invite her over. Taylor thinks it’s important. She wants to study her to see if she’s reformed or as dangerous as ever.
Finn and Steffy video chat Sheila to ask her to come to Christmas. Steffy admits her mom convinced her to extend the invitation.
Sheila’s overcome with emotion. “You’re not joking, right?” Steffy assures she’s not. Sheila thanks them all and accepts. She’d love to come. She begins to cry that she can spend the first Christmas with her son. Deacon’s eyes shine.
