In the Tuesday, February 14, 2023, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Katie and Carter worry about the Douglas situation, Finn tells Li how perfect his life is, and the judge ends the hearing.
We also have Monday’s B&B recap where Sheila ordered Deacon to back off, and Steffy surprised distraught Hope by agreeing to let Douglas move in with her.
In the judge’s chambers, Steffy tells Hope that she never expected Douglas to choose her to live with.
She’s just as shocked as Hope is. Is she supposed to reject him?
Hope says that Douglas’ sister needs him. Steffy’s main focus is the well-being of her nephew.
The judge returns with Douglas, Thomas and Liam. She reminds them all that they agreed that Douglas has the final say.
She’ll trust they can make this work, or they will have to see each other again.
Once she’s gone, Douglas asks his aunt if he can come and live with her and Finn.
Thomas reminds him that wasn’t part of the deal. Liam admits they were all caught off-guard.
Thomas sits down and apologizes to his son for putting him in this position. He will always love him and he’ll be his number one guy.
Hope tells Douglas that everyone loves him. They just want to make sure he understands his decision.
Their lives won’t be the same without him there. Liam adds they were hoping he would choose to stay with them.
Steffy tells her nephew she’s honored by his choice. It’s a complicated situation and there’s a lot to sort out. They all want what’s best for him.
She adores having him over at her house, but tonight he should go home with his mom and they can discuss this later.
She hugs him.
Thomas, Hope, and Liam arrive at the cabin. Liam points out that the idea of letting Douglas decide his guardianship was an incredibly bad one.
She wonders what it says about them as parents that they never could have predicted this.
Thomas says that this outcome isn’t the worst thing for him. Steffy won’t keep him from seeing his son.
Liam tells him that if there’s a rift with Douglas, that’s on him.
Hope doesn’t want to rehash this. Their son chose not to live with any of them. He clearly isn’t happy there so she must have failed.
Liam insists she’s done everything right but she’s sure she must have done something wrong for this outcome.
He hugs her.

B&B opinion: Sizzling Sheila and Deacon
At the cliff house, Finn tells Li how much Kelly loves having Douglas over. They’ve gotten very close over the past few months.
Finn thinks that Douglas is a special kid and he’s gone through a lot.
He thinks that his own life is perfect. Kelly and Hayes are the center of all the choices that he and Steffy make.
Seeing him so happy and fulfilled is all his mother has ever hoped for.
After Li leaves, Steffy arrives and tells her husband how unusual today was.
She explains that Douglas did not choose to live with his father.
He assumes it must have been hard to watch Douglas choose to live with Hope. But it can’t be that surprising.
Steffy explains that’s not what he chose. Finn is confused.
His wife explains what happened in the judge’s chambers and how shocked everyone was when Douglas asked his aunt to be his legal guardian.
He looked at her with his big eyes and said he wants to be part of their family.
Carter walks in on Katie as she’s changing in the office. He offers to leave but she reminds him of how often she’s walked in on him half-naked.
After she flexes her biceps for him, they make out. She tells him her workout wasn’t as good as that kiss.
She was hoping that a workout would clear her mind of all the drama.
They discuss the Douglas situation and how huge it is. Katie hopes that the kid chooses to live with Hope and Liam.
He fondles her foot and tells her how they will have to work out again. She gets back to worrying about Douglas.
Carter suggests they go out for dinner and offers to share his plate of curry with her any day. He thinks how much she cares about her family is so sweet.
They talk about Bill losing his mind. She has to keep fighting for him as long as he’s the father of her son.
Carter promises to always have her back. They kiss again.
