In the Tuesday, February 7, 2023, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Katie tries to wrap her head around Taylor shooting Bill, Hope is shocked when Thomas storms in, and Steffy gets frustrated by her mom.
We also have Friday’s B&B recap where Steffy talked her mom out of confessing, Brooke vowed to support Taylor, and Sheila vented to Deacon about Katie.
Taylor and Steffy hug at the cliff house. She tells her mom that her freedom is all that matters but Taylor still wants to turn herself in for shooting Bill and end the blackmail.
Steffy keeps shaking her head and insists the family is fine.
Her mom keeps repeating that she needs to confess to the police.
“Stop!” Steffy bellows. It goes on. Steffy tells her to get these thoughts out of her mind.
People need her. There’s no reason to throw away her future.
“Promise me you’re not going to turn yourself in,” she demands, reminding her of how valuable she is to the world.
She reminds her of all the people she has forgiven. Now she needs to show herself some mercy and accept how extraordinary she is.
Steffy keeps begging and asks her to stay there. Her mom looks tortured.
Taylor tells her how much she loves her. Watching her become the woman she is has been the greatest joy of her life.
Her daughter tells her there is more to come. They hug and Taylor exits.
In the cabin, Katie tells Brooke that Taylor almost took her son’s father away. That’s serious.
Her sister agrees but Taylor feels bad enough about it so they don’t need to make her burden of guilt heavier.
Katie gets what the shrink did given what she thought Bill did to Steffy, but…
She has conflicted feelings about Taylor now. Bill could have died and she’s be raising Will alone.
Brooke knows it could have been a tragedy. Taylor wouldn’t have been able to live with herself.
Katie won’t accept excuses but she doesn’t think Taylor should be in jail.
Her sister says the real tragedy is that Sheila is exploiting this.
Brooke hopes she can learn to show Taylor some grace.
Steffy shows up and Katie takes off.
Steffy explains she’s worried about her mom. She keeps talking about turning herself in.
She feels like she’s not getting through to her mom. The guilt is eating her away and now she’s isolating herself.
Brooke offers to be there for her and her mother. Steffy didn’t know where else to turn. She’s still getting used to sharing her mom with her.
Brooke says they need to make sure her mom won’t do anything she regrets.
Taylor goes home to the beach house and flashes back to the night she shot Bill.
She sighs, closes her eyes, and shakes her head.
Taking out a notebook, she sits and nods her head before she starts writing a confession to shooting Bill, stating that this all has to end. She gets a bottle of pills and pours four into her hand. She takes a pill.
Later, Brooke shows up, looks in the window and sees the letter. She goes inside and finds the pills and Taylor passed out on her bed. Taylor yells her name and shakes her.

B&B opinion: Pushing fans too far
Hope is startled when Thomas strolls into Forrester Creations just as she is sighing about the latest designs.
He asks her not to call security and explains he is there to offer his services again.
Charlie didn’t manage to keep him out.
She reminds him he’s not welcome. He thinks everyone is making a big mistake. He’s worried about her and the line.
They rehash what he did and how he hurt so many people, especially Douglas.
Thomas claims he wishes he could go back and change all this. He’s not the only one suffering the consequences.
The line is suffering and so is she. Ever since he let go, he’s been busting his tail on designs that could go into production.
She says that’s what makes this so sad. He keeps squandering his talent by doing bad things.
Thomas encourages her to push his father and sister to let him come back to design for her.
She reminds him she has to work. He checks out the latest design. “It’s ummm…” he comments. “It’s a neat color,” he says, trying to find positive things.
It’s just a Thomas Forrester and it doesn’t represent the line. It doesn’t push boundaries.
She knows he’s all about pushing boundaries.
He offers to work out of the office and only for a dollar.
