In the Monday, January 16, 2023, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Finn explains why Bill is supporting Sheila to Carter and Katie, and Taylor and Steffy are disgusted by Bill and Sheila’s love.
We also have Friday’s B&B recap where Taylor confronted Bill and Sheila while Katie and Carter went looking for answers.
At Bill’s, Sheila tells him how much it means to her that he loves her. That’s all she’s ever dreamed of.
Taylor and Steffy watch appalled.
Sheila tells Bill that she never thought their meeting on the beach would lead to this. “I love you and you love me,” she says.
They stare into each other’s eyes.
Taylor and her daughter are still in disbelief. Steffy blurts out that Sheila knows nothing about love.
Sheila claims she’s just been “unlucky in love” and thinks they should stop rehashing the horrible decisions she’s made in her past. They’ve all made some pretty terrible mistakes.
She says that if Bill can forgive Taylor for shooting him, why can’t they move on too? Love changes a person and it’s already happening for her.
They have no choice but to accept the situation.
Taylor isn’t so sure about that. She can confess to the police, ending the blackmail and sending Sheila to prison.
Steffy shakes her head. Her mom would lose everything but the alternative is worse.
Steffy tells her to stop blaming herself. Taylor won’t let Bill endanger her family.
Sheila announces she doesn’t want to see Taylor go to jail, especially since they’ve saved each other’s lives. Why can’t they just live and love?
She points out that Thomas could really use her guidance right now.
That doesn’t go over well.
Sheila thinks they need to acknowledge she has changed and is no longer scary and loathsome. They don’t buy that.
Bill promises she won’t be a threat. She backs this up and says she now has all she’s ever wanted.
As she and Bill kiss, Steffy and Taylor have to suppress the urge to vomit.

At the cliff house, Carter and Katie are confused when Finn tells them that Sheila is free because of Bill.
Finn explains that he and Steffy are being blackmailed by Bill to keep Sheila free.
Carter knows Bill can be ruthless, but this is hard to understand. Katie can’t imagine what he could be used as blackmail.
She can’t imagine what her ex is thinking. She’s shocked when Finn tells her that Bill is in a relationship with Sheila.
Katie doesn’t think Bill is idiotic enough to be involved with someone as diabolical as Sheila.
Taylor and Steffy arrive and Katie tells them how in disbelief she is. She needs to talk to Bill.
Carter offers to go with her but she insists on doing this alone.
Everyone stares, baffled by everything.
Steffy tells Carter that her mom really let Bill have it. Taylor keeps beating herself up for putting them in this position.
She can’t even recognize who she was when she shot Bill. Finn is shocked when they tell him Bill claims to be in love with Sheila.
Steffy is sure it must be some kind of spell. His love for her will destroy him.
Back at Bill’s, Sheila tells him she guesses she should have expected what just happened. He says if something comes up, they can figure it out together.
They cuddle.
She’s so thankful he survived being shot. They talk about what people will think.
The only time she’s ever cared about that was when she wanted her son to accept her.
She never thought that Bill would come along and be the man she has been looking for all these years.
Alone, Bill thinks about how much he loves Sheila.
Katie storms in and asks him to explain what is going on. She can’t understand and doesn’t want any specifics.
She thinks she knows him better than he knows himself and this doesn’t make sense.
How can he defend Sheila and her evil presence?
She urges him to think of his son and how he can imagine Sheila being near their child.
Tearing up, Katie wishes she’d helped when he asked for it, but…
The idea of him being in a relationship with Sheila is crazy.
She assumes he must be depressed and lonely.
As she tells him he can’t allow this, Sheila strides in and tells her it’s too late.
She passed on Bill, but now she’s the love of his life and she’s the love of his.
Katie chokes on that and then tells Bill that Sheila is incapable of love and will break everything he cares about. If he doesn’t get her out of his life, he is leaving his whole family vulnerable.
She begs him to do whatever it takes to send her back to prison.
