In the Friday, January 13, 2023, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Katie and Brook wonder who freed Sheila, Steffy talks her mom out of turning herself in, and Sheila freshens up for her night with Bill.
We also have Thursday’s B&B recap where Sheila and Bill cuddle at the Stallion’s residence as Taylor flipped out and offered to turn herself in to end the blackmail.
At the cliff house, Steffy urges her mom not to confess to the police but Taylor sees no other way out. She will sacrifice her own freedom to put Sheila away with zero regrets.
Steffy points out that going to the cops won’t necessarily get them what they want.
They have no idea who else is on Bill’s payroll.
Taylor relents, much to her daughter’s relief.
The doctor goes on about how great and healing it is to be with them. She regrets being away for so long. Now she is only there at the mercy of Bill.
Her daughter says there is nothing they can do until they figure out a way to get through to him.
“You leave that to me,” Taylor says.
Once she’s gone, Steffy can hardly believe what just happened. Her husband tells her she doesn’t have to worry about her mom turning herself in.
Steffy suddenly realizes her mom probably went to see Bill. She tries calling but it goes straight to voicemail. She’s also blocked her location.
Finn tells her to go after her mom but be safe.

As Sheila rests in Bill’s arms at his place, she asks him how it feels to have someone permanently in his debt. Pretty soon, a mob will come after them, she warns.
He’s not concerned. Katie and Brooke already turned him down.
He’s burned all his bridges. “Bridges to people who always let you down,” she says, promising to be someone he can count on and kissing him.
She leaves to freshen up for their evening. Bill sighs.
Shivering Taylor bursts in and demands to know why he is keeping the psycho who terrorized her family out of prison.
She’s sure he can’t really believes Sheila should be out of prison. She can’t allow this.
Sheila interrupts. She notices she’s shaking with anger and says that’s not good for her. She still wants them to be friends.
Taylor doesn’t think threatening to send her to prison is very friendly.
Sheila tells her not to blame Bill for this. He’s finally found someone who understands his needs and look out for him. She’ll always have his back.
The shrink can’t believe he wants a psycho by his side. She’s appalled that Sheila is playing the victim.
Sheila insists she is the victim of the Forresters and the others. No one has given her a chance until now. She cuddles up to Bill.
Taylor shakes her head. She tells him Sheila is using him.
Sheila knows the suddenness of this is hard to understand, but it’s for real. She’s sure this is particularly hard for Taylor since Ridge never put he first.
Sheila has never loved any man like she loves Bill. They should all accept this and live in peace.
Taylor knows she accepted and believed in Sheila once but then she put a bullet in her daughter.
She doesn’t give a damn about her happiness. She just wants to see her behind bars.
Sheila doesn’t want the same for Taylor.
The shrink knows what she did to Bill was awful, but blackmailing her is awful too. She’s not convinced Sheila can even have feelings, but she’s certainly capable of manipulating people.
“You are smarter than this,” she says, urging him to say it’s all a lie.
Steffy walks in as Bill announces that he thought he knew what it felt like to have devotion, but he was wrong until he met Sheila.
Now he knows what that’s supposed to feel like and he loves her.
That’s all Sheila’s ever dreamed of. They embrace. Taylor and Steffy are appalled. Sheila glares at them.
At Forrester Creations, Brooke tells Carter and Katie that Sheila going free can’t be real.
Brooke continues squealing in disbelief. Carter says someone clearly is responsible for this.
Katie wonders who. She and her sister try to figure this out. Carter helps but not much.
They all remain baffled and sighing.
Katie needs to visit Steffy so they can all get on the same page. Carter offers to go to give legal advice.
Carter and Katie head to the cliff house to ask Steffy how to handle the press.
Steffy isn’t there and Finn doubts she wants to speak to the press. He fills them in on Bill being behind Sheila going free.
