In the Thursday, January 26, 2023, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Hope weighs the pros and cons of letting Thomas return, and Liam and Finn talk about Douglas.
We also have Wednesday’s B&B recap where Deacon tested Sheila’s devotion to Bill with a kiss, and Thomas begged Steffy to let him return to Forrester.
In her office, Hope and Paris wonder if she should let Thomas come back. Hope mentions his wrongdoings. Paris mentions his business successes.
If anyone can bring her collection back from the brink, it would be Thomas.
Hope says it will be Ridge and Steffy’s decision and asks her what she thinks about Thomas.
Paris thinks he knows what women find appealing. Fashion is about breaking boundaries and being passionate. That’s what makes Thomas successful.
She wonders if Hope should talk to Steffy about giving him a second chance.
Hope knows the latest reviews were lousy and that she and Thomas were wonderful creative partners. She stuck up for him but he let her down and betrayed her trust.
She swore not to work with him again to protect her family, but she also cares about her family and the people who work for the company. That leaves her not knowing what to do.
At Forrester Creations, Thomas promises Steffy he will be on his best behavior if she lets him come back to save Hope for the Future.
They rehash why she is furious with him. She wishes she could rely on him and trust him.
Steffy doesn’t know what to say. She wants the guy she grew up with back.
He apologizes again and says she deserves better. She’s always been better than him and he wishes he could be someone she could lean on.
He promises to work to become that man.
“Hope for the Future needs me,” he suggests. Thomas keeps pitching.
Hope interrupts. Thomas immediately explains that he’s come to help.
He hasn’t stopped designing and apologizes for hurting her when she believed in him more than anyone else.
He wants another shot and not just for him but for the line.
Hope asks for a word with his sister alone.
On his way out, Thomas knows this won’t fix the problems he caused but at least it might fix her collection.
Once he’s gone, Hope tells Steffy the collection is a mess. She glances at the designs on the table.
Hope didn’t think she would ever want to give Thomas his job back, but this is business.
Steffy thinks they need to hold him accountable. Hope agrees but they have to consider their employees.
She can trust Thomas’ talent, if nothing else. Steffy thinks they need to figure out what message they are sending.
Thomas has had so many second chances without ever facing any consequences.

Thomas drops by Paris’ office. She says he’s not supposed to be there.
Thomas thinks that might change soon. The line needs him.
He returns to his sister’s office and eavesdrops at the door as Steffy asks Hope if she’s really saying that the future of the line depends on bringing Thomas back.
At the cliff house, Finn shows stethoscopes to Kelly and Douglas and teaches them how to use them.
Liam shows up and they impress them by saying they are now doctors.
Douglas wants to stay a little longer. He and Kelly go off to check on her stuffed animals.
Liam tells Finn how much he’s missed Douglas. He wants him to feel supported since he’s never been able to count on Thomas.
“It’s not easy being let down by your father,” Liam admits.
They admire how amazing Douglas is, especially considering all he’s been through.
Liam hates to think of what happened if Hope hadn’t stepped up and become his mother. He hopes Thomas has learned that actions have consequences.
They talk about how hard they’ve worked to create a safe space for the kids away from Thomas.
The kids return and hand back the stethoscopes. Douglas thanks Finn for letting him hang out. Finn says they all love having him there.
