In the Thursday, January 12, 2023, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Finn and Steffy explain how Sheila was freed Taylor, Katie and Brooke are shocked Sheila is free, and Sheila thanks Bill.
We also have Wednesday’s B&B recap where Bill took Sheila home, demanding assurances that she won’t let him down, and Taylor was shocked when Steffy and Finn explained why Sheila is free.
At the cliff house, Finn and Steffy tell her mom that they didn’t testify against Sheila to protect her. Bill blackmailed them, tying Sheila’s future to hers.
Taylor squints when they tell her something is going on between Sheila and Bill.
“You mean… romantically? No, no, no!” she says.
Her daughter confirms it.
Taylor’s jaw drops.
“This can’t be happening!” she complains.
They explain that there was a story concocted by Mike that makes Sheila into a kidnapping victim, not an escaped criminal.
Taylor thinks Bill hasn’t thought of what this could do to her grandbabies.
She realizes there is only one way they can make Sheila pay.
Steffy refuses to let her mom turn herself in.
She wasn’t herself when she shot Bill.
This still doesn’t make any sense to Taylor. She’s determined to confess so they can testify against Sheila and put her away.
Flashing back to the night, she thinks of how she wanted Bill out of their lives permanently. She has to come forward for everyone.
Her daughter points out that a confession might not even help.
Bill owns the judge and the evidence is weak. She could just end up in prison.
Steffy tells her that her future is not worth putting Sheila away.
At Bill’s, Sheila tells him that she knew he would get her off, but she’s still in disbelief.
He tells her freedom looks better on her than her disguise.
They toast to that.
Smiling, she tells him he’s the reason she’s a free woman.
She’ll never forget the look on Steffy’s face when she was set free.
They rehash how all the evidence was eliminated.
Thanking him again, she strokes his necklace and tells him he’s her hero. They kiss.
She knows she made big mistakes and hurt people she loves, but that was all unintentional and she’s not evil. Bill has looked in her heart and understands who she truly is.
They kiss again. She says he hasn’t held her past against her.
He’s never looked at her as a villain.
He’s given her another chance and she will be forever grateful.
She wonders how long it will take for people to show up with pitchforks and torches.
Sheila wishes things could have been different. She and Bill cuddle.
She was hoping she could convince Finn and Steffy that they can co-exist. She loves her son and grandson. Maybe she was hoping for too much.
Bill knows it’s hard to give up on family.
Sheila just wants to be forgiven.
Bill gives his word to do whatever it takes to keep her out of prison. She says he’s given her more than money could ever buy.
“I owe you my life,” she says, resting on his chest.

At Forrester Creations, Katie and Brooke talk about Ridge being out of town and how good it’s been for him.
Katie thinks it’s been great for her sister too. Brooke adds it’s also been great for Taylor.
Since they took Ridge out of the equation, they’ve realized how much they have in common.
The topic turns to Sheila and how happy they are she will no longer be a threat.
Katie didn’t even know she was this worried about it.
Brooke starts teasing her about Carter and his lusciousness.
He drifts in with shocking news and announces Sheila has been released from jail.
Brooke’s mouth hangs open. Katie furrows her brow, confounded.
The sisters say Sheila is a dangerous criminal and should be behind bars.
They shake their heads.
