In the Tuesday, October 18, 2022, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Hope and Liam try to comfort distraught Brooke, Katie and Carter discuss their kiss, and Thomas and Steffy marvel at how good things are for them.
We also have Monday’s B&B recap where Thomas kissed Hope, Liam stopped Brooke from drinking, and Carter admitted Quinn left him before Katie kissed him.
Thomas is at Forrester Creations recalling his kiss with Hope. He tells himself that he can’t be fantasizing about this when things are going so well in his life.
Steffy shows up and excitedly tells her brother their parents are back together. They chuckle.
She teases him about his latest designs and then he gets her to tell him all about what happened in Aspen. Steffy wishes he’d seen their parents finally get back together.
They marvel at how much their lives have changed in the past few months. Steffy says it just proves that good things happen to good people.
The fractures in their family have healed and they are finally whole again. Thomas is sure things feel very different over at Brooke’s.
She’s sure it’s a “crying fest” over there but they should still be excited about their parents reuniting.
Once he’s left alone, Thomas flashes back again to using the app to fake being Brooke so he could call CPS on himself.
Sitting in his office, Carter flashes back to kissing Katie last night. She bustles in, looking for her cellphone. As he hands it to her, their hands touch.
She thanks him for his budgeting work. Sensing he’s busy, she offers to go but he wants to talk.
Once she closes the door, he clarifies this isn’t about work. Quinn hasn’t come back. She makes it clear he deserves better and there are other possibilities out there…. like her.
They laugh about her planting a kiss on him last night. She claims she doesn’t know what came over her.
They are both surprised that Quinn left. Katie suspects they were only meant to be together for a moment.
Carter wonders why this keeps happening to him.
She suggests he’s looking for love in all the wrong places. She knows that feeling.
He knows she’s had rotten luck in relationships but at least she’s been married.
He walked away from a potential marriage because he thought he had a future with Quinn.
Katie assures him there is someone who will appreciate him and his many qualities.
She runs through the list of his pluses and how sexy he is. Central to that is that he doesn’t know what a catch he is, even if a lot of women notice.
Carter says she knows exactly what to say to a guy. She means these things.
They joke about him being a “catch and release” fish and she imagines him as a singing fish on a wall.
He appreciates her making him laugh and all her support. She means a lot to him.

B&B opinion: Taylor, Ridge’s second choice?
At the cabin, Hope tells Liam that her mom texted and said they could stop by whenever.
He asks why she was so late coming home last night and wishes she wasn’t burning so much midnight oil with Thomas.
At Brooke’s, she weeps as she holds a picture of Ridge and stares at all the bottles of alcohol.
She recalls Liam stopping her from drinking last night.
Hope and Liam show up. She hugs her mom.
Brooke still doesn’t understand why Ridge left her for another woman.
Hope gets a call from the babysitter and has to walk off to take it.
Once she’s out of earshot, Liam assures Brooke that he didn’t tell her daughter about her nearly falling off the wagon.
She tells him it was a moment of weakness that will never happen again.
Brooke insists she will be fine and doesn’t want her daughter to have to worry about this.
“It’s because of you I didn’t drink,” she tells him.
Hope returns and they tell her everything is fine.
She senses something is going on other than her mom mourning the death of her marriage.
Brooke still can’t figure out any reason why her marriage ended. She doesn’t know what possibly could have upset Ridge so much. None of this makes sense.
Hope hugs her as she cries.
